So far (except for the vocals) I really love this tour. Stage, outfits, videos, arrangements are all stunning. The more I watch the uptempo medley, the more I adore it. There’s just something about it that makes it so great, I think it’s the songs (despite not being hers). It’s also the biggest vocal highlight of the show.

Didn’t she say in the “A to Z” interview that she loves “Because You Loved Me” now more than ever? It makes me wonder why she didn’t include it in her French setlist as well and chose “You’re the Voice” instead.

 

Same thing with “On ne change pas”, she sang a bit of it in an interview saying how true the words of the song are and how genius Jean-Jacques Goldman was for writing it but didn’t include it in the show...

I think we should stop thinking that Celine necessarily needs someone to tell her what to do, how to take care of herself, or how to act. It is maybe not your case but this kind of sentence can be extremely sexist as well as very reductive for Celine.

 

Finally, we should have asked René what did he do for her voice when he decided to make A New day 5 times a weeks in a place known for damaging your voice. Or what was he thinking when he validated the Live in Live Vegas.

I just think it's a shame that so many songs from the setlist simply never change. Also the arrangement for those old songs never ever really changes.

And about those covers: Why not sing original songs that your fans are dying to hear?

Remove Terre and sing l’etoile

Remove LAEE and sing contre nature

Remove Ziggy and sing That’s the way it is definitely this song NEED do sing in this tour !! And in french country too.

The setlist is just too bad I’m sad to see that.

And the medley my god ..... why cover ??? She need to sing Just a little bit of love , misled , LCMM and save your saoul for example....

when need to hear old song like TPOL and because you loved me in medley acoustic like she sing in Oprah in 1997 and 1998 ....

She ruined her own classic by doing so. And even as a fan, I am not interested in new Christmas music from Mariah. I insist: this makes the difference between an artist who only cares about singing and others who care about the whole process and care about her fanbase. To me, Mariah is really a boss without claiming to be one. Celine is just stating she's in charge of her life but when it comes to her career, she's just making clear she only does the minimum things that please her, but does not care about what pleases her fans

Her fans do care. They surely appreciated that bonus release that year, while she gets ready for a new studio album (which I'm sure was the purpose of that Christmas 2 album).

 

She didn't have anything to lose for covering her own hit and releasing another version. Nothing. Her royalties are back on her bank account every year on Christmas because the original version of the single and the album are always back on top of the charts year after year

 

In the meantime, we are still waiting for another Christmas album from Celine, a remixes album, an album of unreleased songs and rarities, a filmed show that never saw a DVD, a second part of TCSV.2, an album with two delays that took 6 years in the making... and so on

 

And best of it is that Mariah hasn't probably moved a finger to push these projects to be released... or yes, who cares. They just happen.

I will say however, this is one of mariahs only solid rereleases. Shes done MANY whack re-releases and us fans went without literally anything from 2008-2018 except a terrible compilation and two TERRIBLE studio albums, her worst two ever, however Caution was incredible and this re-release is so special. Her 2010 Christmas album was so bad, re-recording a bad version of AIWFCIY and poorly produced, autotuned af christmas carols, then we had 4 years before another bad album

It contains 8 HQ audios of her iconic St John the Divine concert, her first live performances of all the songs and she was in exceptional vocal condition, we never heard any of these audios except Joy To The World

Put FOMO in the middle of the show to be sung whole

Add A New Day Has Come Too, this song is beautiful

In place of LAEE, after the video, put Imperfections.
