Collaboration with NUNUNU: Célinununu

Hello guys, :-)

After a long time I decided to actually contribute with my opinion ... as I was lately reading through the forum feeds and I just get annoyed with such a negativity which comes from some of you ... I needed to reset my password as I never remember it ahahahhaha.

Well what I thin (my opinion):

Guys please .. you all trying to see some unnecessary deep menaing in things which are just simple.

I actually Love what Celine doin lately .. getting out of the comfort zone and doing something different... Everyone who is trying to do different things are usually criticized (normally by someone who done for humanity/society nothing at all). You all say that those designs are creepy .. they are NOT AT ALL ... just because someone said that boys have to wear blue and girls have to wear pink doesnt make it any more right than if Celine thinks that it would be cool to share some cool and different taste in fashion. I foud it veeeery cool and funky and actually I am very impressed even with the amount of followers which Celinununu is getting so quickly. (Many celebrities included) ... Guys, I think the message is ... lets keep positive about Celine's and our future and do not find the "bugs" where the actually are none :)

With love to everyone

David

I'm sorry but this black shirt "New Order" is scary and creepy. No wonder people freak out.

I agree, something terribly wrong that they goose to choose certain designs, this was deliberate. Celine might not be aware of that but it’s no doubt deliberate, nobody in fashion is that dumb to not think that wouldn’t be a big deal.

Damn this is such religious bullsh*t, they try to make something out of their own creation....satanism and such, the devil itself with the horns etc it's a design from the catholic church to undermine other religions and cultures and by that saying they're bad

I absolutely love the fact that the collection is monochromatic, to me the use of skulls only adds to the concept that all of us as skeletons are "mostly" the same... (of course there are differences in the hips between men and women).... you wouldn't know if someone's gay, black, we're all the same.

https://youtu.be/PnDgZuGIhHs

and of course it has an agenda...and it's a beautiful one... It's about reclaiming symbolism of what has been imposed not just gender

I truly applaud Céline for this... forget the silly purses, fragrances and such.... this is truly something that sends a message

As I said before, nothing new with the skulls, new order, eyes design. there's a lot of Zara Kids with skulls design that no longer available. and lot's of another design I mention before exist.

I don't know what Celineununu intention though. but it's really nothing new with "demonic" design. the difference is that Celinununu clearly stated about gender neutrality that make some people feel uncomfortable. and it's Celine who campaign it. but when there's no talk about gender neutrality, not many people care about the design, they just simply thought it's ugly.

Wow. Just read this article. And I can't deny I'm officially scared now  Or better said, worried. Worried for Céline's association with this brand.

https://vigilantciti...-clothing-line/

Just read the article, and especially see the pictures taken from diverse Nununu's instagram posts. The more I kept reading and watching and scrolling down the page, the more scary it became. It's evident the brand is creepy, dark, or whatever, anything else BUT beautiful and attractive. Which is what's supposed to be clothing for babies. Yeah, taking it to the extreme and making weird links with satanism or "orders" or devil is maybe a bit too much, but I mean, just look at those IG posts using animal skulls, babies with horned caps and even a girl with a he-goat on her head. Excuse me? :wtf: How can they make it more evident?

Honestly I don't like Céline's image being associated with this. And the talking is just starting I'm afraid :ermm:

The problem here it's not what people think about dark associations and obscure things being talked in the comments. The problem here is that people who doesn't have any idea about this come exactly to the same dark and creepy conclusions without having read any of the comments  That's what's worrying about it.

Geez, I think I'm going to need a double-dose of some ANDHC colourful music after this to cheer me up!! :giggle:

Initially I liked the idea when we first heard about it, I thought wow that’s great, finally Celine is stating her opinion which is new for her and great! I still think that aspect is great; but then I saw the actual designs they have in clothing line..... I’m sorry the whole line gives me chills. It’s dark and disturbing in my opinion and I wish she never signed her name to such a brand.

I need the double dosage of ANDHC followed by OH lol...

I think it’s a fascinating step for her. A little controversy isn’t a big deal. Hopefully she’ll keep explaining her vision / what drew her to want to do this.

And they might even release a few new designs...?

Celine deserves to take some bold new steps.

I keep asking myself, what problem with the skull drawings and the writing "new Order", these are just drawings and phrases, there is nothing more, people have to stay calm, there is nothing scary about it.

what I see is that the dislike are bigger than the likes in the commercial video. Where are the fans of Celine Dion to help her, come on guys, you guys are fans, it's time to help and not criticize.

Let's enjoy the video on youtube page

And the number of views is just growing, unbelievable.

I think most of the fans of Celine Dion became fans because of her singing/songs, not because of her clothing line or other ventures. Fans do not need to like every song nor every single thing their idols do.

I was like some other people here at first, found nothing to worried about with skulls or horns and stuff. I also normally couldn`t care less for those conspiracy websites, they just try to make up or make whatever links together to support their stand. But this time, some of the symbols and designs are indeed quite creepy. Aside from that, I also would not like to see "holy shi" appears in a child clothing ad. This is one of the moments that I wish Rene is here.

But taking a step back, I don't think many people in the general public is really aware of all these, just like her other ventures, people move on and forget. They will always relate Celine as the singer.

In the end, we shall see the sales of nununu for this year Christmas shopping spree. We will continue to hear about nununu if the sales are well, otherwise i suppose may be the end of it ;)

The clothing line was/is getting positive reviews from media sites. The negative and hateful comments began when one of those alarmist/extremist/conspiracy/religious whatever you want to call them sites wrote about the commercial. As someone else wrote, these are the same people that believed all that nonsense about Celine saying she hated America and bombarded her with hateful tweets. It's hard to believe but there are lots of these intense people.

There have been two sites like these that have written about the commercial, this vigilantcitizen.com and faith.com. Before this 90% of the response was positive.

Also, yeah, there are some weird photographs on the nununu instagram but there are more nice pics than there are odd ones (I'm sure some will say "that's how they get ya" lol). They even have pink clothes for girls that like pink.

Here some cute pics:

https://www.instagram.com/p/Bp66BcynPoy/?hl=en

https://www.instagram.com/p/BqDfXuqnqaU/?hl=en (the hand mask in the second pic is nothing evil, that's been around for ages. Kids don it a lot)

https://www.instagram.com/p/BnyWjjSnJrI/?hl=en - pink and happy girl

https://www.instagram.com/p/Bm5q1vcHk5w/?hl=en - aww

The serious, cool kid photos are just an aesthetic imo.

I mean, I guess there's always a chance Nununu is an evil company. All in all, I hope all turns out for the best. If it brings Celine more bad than good then it'll be best if she let's the collaboration die or make sure her line is different than the main Nununu line.

Look what I came across at a store today.

Ages 6+, it's not just nununu. I don't think it's intended to be thought of as evil by the toy manufacturer either.

Funny that I was just watching a travel program, and the host was talking about the Harajuku fashion style in Japan. Within 2 minutes of footages, already found few similarities with the so called devil symbols. Lol. I guess it is everywhere.

I thought this was an interesting article about it, and gave a little more background about the company.

That was interesting.

They basically expected some negative response. Being that Celine is so famous, that negative response is also larger than they've had in the past I imagine.

They are treating their fashion design as if it were for adults which is why many find it odd. They don't design frilly or cute.

EDIT: just saw an instastory of someone that got their stuff from Celinununu. One customer that we know of already lol.

I have no problems with skulls Or all-seeing eyes. Or the grey-black-white palette.

And certainly glad to see her take a stand and am all for what this brand aims to represent.

But I definitely do have a problem with a Nazi slogan on a baby's shirt. Or any shirt, for that matter.

Sorry, but New Order is not " just a phrase". Someone seriously dropped the ball on that one.

It's gone already.

I couldn't tell what clothing they got but one thing I did catch is that they had a little packet of kids water base tattoos. Maybe they are complimentary with every purchase. The stuff was packaged in a black and grey bag with the + logo on it.

But I found this

https://www.instagram.com/p/BqNJwvmHNRf/

Dan Alexander & Co.

We created the name CELINUNUNU, and designed the brand's entire visual perception, with the plus symbol logo at the core of the brand, signifying the powerful meeting point between the two extraordinary life-forces behind this partnership. The minimalistic black/white color palette conveys a balanced polarity, hinting at the universality of an unspoken language uniting people worldwide.

The idea is there but I feel the concept isn’t as good as it could be.

Celine wants to let people to allow the children to choose...Okay that’s fine, why not design some boy clothing in pink and some girl clothing in blue? That would kill the stigma; What’s not needed is skulls or freaky giant eyes, or the words “ new order”, lol... I support the cause but not the designs, everyone is entitled to their own opinion more power to those who would dress their kids in that stuff, I however even tho a huge Celine Dion FAN won’t.

That stuff is just weird and it’s what makes the line “dark” more than the actual black and white color schemes

Haha 😂 you completely missed the point then...

Why swapping colors?that's what they are fighting against.. Clichés! Who ever decided that blu was for boys and pink for girls? Swapping colors would actually acknowledge this fact.

B&W are the most neutral colors... Thus the "neutral gender line".

That's actually as silly as this. 😉

Yes, "New Order" is not yust a phrase. This brand has a dark message/ideology and that scares me.

Especially in Germany we are very sensitized for this.

Celine has opened a big can of worms with this! She must have known her choice to go with this brand could hurt her!

René would never have gone with this. He did everything to keep her away from controversial things like this. I don’t know if it like it or dislike it but one thing is for sure, a lot don’t like it.

Don’t want to panic but I hope this doesn’t harm her. I say that but then look at Madonna. She has been very dark for a long time and it never hurt her.

Celine needs a little bit of darknes and revolution... always in the safe and confort area...

I love when she gets a little bit out of whats expected... like that controversy "naked" pictures for V...

I prefer this "neutral gender" evilness that all this naive "let's talk about love and all the happy children in the world"...

Bravo Celine! she's starting to take decisions at 50... applausee... and she is being feminist.. defending a neutral gender clothing for children... ouh.. such a .....

Since her husband is not controlling her whole life... things are getting really bad...

I don't think it will really harm her. The people who hate her because of this is the same people who already hate her before celinununu, they just found a new reason to validate their hatred.

I have no worries about it. And I'm glad the controversy is beacuse of good cause not just a silly celebrity stunt.

The only sad thing is the fact that some fans get carried away by the silly articles about conspiracy. If we don't read that kind of artikel maybe we just think that it's not cute design, weird or too serious for kids. But I'm sure we will get used to that Celinununu after we see that Celine is still the same loving, funny and sometime silly person that we know.
