Jeez if people would just read or listen to what she is saying but that’s the problem in the world today.

I guess she could have just said it was a unisex clothing line and nobody would have been up in arms.

I was talking to my mother about it all, and she was shocked she got so politically into it. I just wish she would’ve left it at “neutral” and gone with that. The whole gender neutrality thing is opening a can of worms I don’t think she wants.

We’ll see how her team responds to it all; either they won’t care and double down with lots more promotion or they will try to distance themselves from trying to “too political” and try to complete the clothing line with a different tone. We’ll see how much they care.

She said it herself in the advert that her generation miss the past but the new generation look to the future... no matter what it is in life you can’t please everyone, so why worry about it!

I Iove she said that! I also love that she emphasized that we’re all links in a never ending chain. Everybody is important, we ALL matter.

It's all about wording...

"Gender neutral" rubs people the wrong way for some reason and Unisex is fine because grandma had no problems with it. :-D

No you’re missing my point...

 

I’m talking in the case about SOCIAL liberal people or SOCIAL conservative people. That is also toward people outside the USA. When it comes to these issues people usually have 1 of 2 view points.. that’s not to say that these are only people who voted or didn’t vote for Trump.

i know it is not you who think that . But many thinks like that. Sorry , i was not clear. :)

it puts her in the news, makes her interesting. For the better or worse. It will help her promotion. But she will lose some fans.

I think it’s deliberate. They know that unisex keeps it unplitical whereas, gender neutral screams political.

 

There’s no way that Celine and her team didn’t smartly think out how they wanted to describe this line and they chose the more “political” direction! It just we aren’t used to this from Celine lol whether we agree or not.

And she’ll gain new ones, and then there are some people who disagree but don’t think that’s a reason enough to not support her music, they will just not support this. In the end she’ll be okay.

I wish the "controversy" would be related to the album because controversy sells music (Madonna anyone?)...

But she doesn't really care about "her promotion" or if she will "lose some fans".

Like some said before, she finally takes a stand.. and not because she's forced to, but because this is what she stands for/believes in and what she has experienced herself (with her twins). We're finally seeing a Céline who is less "afraid" (or conservative) with her opinions. More power to her.

Not Celine herself but someone involved in the design had to know that the phrase “new order” would make the theorists crazy!

I think they mean it in a way of saying change, but they should’ve found a different phrase because it just feeds into it.
