Ok... I mean, I love Céline and I'm going to consume anything she releases, posts or expells out of her mouth, but for me Céline is somekind of the capitalism's paradigm... Every single thing about her is exquisite and expensive, even what she offers to the world. This campaign is not even for charity - for what I've seen-. I'm ashamed that they try to sell us that for our chlidren wearing a $70 dress is a way to express themselves and their gender. I highly doubt that a kid will see this webpage online and is gonna have the desire to own that dress. On the contrary, you and your credit card will decide that they are gonna dress like this, so once again, it's the parents who are interfering on children's tastes. To express onself comes from looking inside and knowing who you truly are, not from an expensive piece of fabric that dispels you from what really costs worldwide-wise your dress.

 

That being said, I love the commercial, I love the photography, her make-up, her look, her voice, how funny she is... If only her new single is presented like this or the Ashes music video... We'll see!

 

Mixed feelings about Céline lately, probably she, as a product, is something far away from my persona, but that's the girl I've grown up with, the soundtrack of my life and the voice that has given me strength in my weakest moments... So I can't help loving her.

 

Regarding some issues gender I'm reading here... It's 2018... I hope by 2030 this discussions will be outdated. A lot of work to be done!

Could be... after Saturday she has 41 days off until her return right before the new year on Dec 28.

I still think on her next break it would make more sense to begin promotion of album since she’ll be very close to the end of this residency, but we’re ready that’s fursure, we’ll see!

Not sure about D’elles but with Taking Chances I believe the single was released in September and in October she promoted the album ALSO speaking about the end of A New Day in December of 2007. Ultimately TC album was released in early November.

This is kind of another unexpected news or appeareance and good buuut.. I'm a bit afraid that due to the success of Ashes auto parody, this becomes a kind of Celine new signature... This ad looks like the "little bro/sis/no gender" of Ashes music video... "hey.. I'm Celine Dion"... Hope this don't become the main strategy for the new album...

It was cool in deadpool context but someone needs to know when the joke is over...

It seems some people just realized now that Celine is a business woman that worked hard all her life to build a name/brand and now she is capitalizing on it. This is not the first and surely not the last project outside music that she will do. All music artists have been forced to diversify because they are getting much less money from album sales. Celine will probably get more money from this nununu thing than from the next English album ales. At least she chooses projects that inspire and motivate her, like fashion and children. And I'm sure this brand was already expensive before Celine came in, so the target public they have in mind is totally fine with those prices (actually you don't need a premium brand to charge more for kid clothes, just go to Zara...). As a famous Spanish singer once said "I love singing, but if I don't make money I don't have fun"

 

I might be wrong, but this commercial, Ashes, her new status as fashion icon.. are only prove that the new English album will be handled much differently and we might get some surprises this time.

She said it herself: As she doesn't have to prove it to anybody, she can do, what she pleases to do. If people follow, fine, if not, I am sure she won't cry to her sheets. And so I share yout opinion, that this makes the upcoming album so special as some more surprises might be on the way!

Y'all I was OBSESSED with the commercial. And I was rather intrigued by the Lullaby music in the background, so I threw something together so I could listen to it when I pleased. Of course, due to the nature of the commercial, and the fact I spent literally less than one hour putting it together, it doesn't sound great... but it was for my own personal enjoyment, and I wanted to share!
