This is not good, this is a brilliant idea :clap: :-D :clap:

 

She seems so natural in this video. Since the Ashes one, she kills it. Her acting is stronger and stronger: eager to see what's next. :wub:

 

Both music and fashion magazines will talk about it, which hopefully shall translate in more interest for her album. Promotionwise, her last years have been like a re-creation of her brandname, a celinaissance as some magazines say.

 

They play on both her diva and funny sides, just like in Ashes. They "break the norm" as the slogan says.

Céline was seen as the eponym of middle of the road music for the last 20 years and more. With those 2 videos, can't deny they are going full speed to breaking her traditional image.

 

She is the new cool girl in town, without being vulgar or outrageous.

 

After the "beat it, spiderman", there are plenty of memorable sentences in this video, like "it's ok, it's ok, I'm Celine Dion" or "I'm Celine Dion. Yeah, girl, and I'm Beyoncé" :sofunny:

Yesterday,

Céline Dion hinted at a forthcoming collaboration with nununu, a clothing brand which according to its company mission statement aims to "introduce children to the wonderful mystery of minimalism." Today, she has unveiled the short film that will promote said collaboration. It manages to surpass even the new Detective Pikachutrailer in strangeness.

 

Defying genre, as well as all conventional approaches to screenwriting, the advertisement depicts Dion breaking into a children's hospital. There, she enters a room full of newborn babies, who are separated according to gender. She sprinkles black glitter on them, and the pink and blue signs are replaced with nununu logos. For this act of liberation, she is arrested by two wisecracking security guards.

 

"Our children. They are not really our children. As we are all just links in the never ending chain that is life," says Dion, as Christmas music plays in the background. It's a lot to take in.

 

Please, please watch the full video, below. Mainly so I can confirm that I'm not hallucinating.

I am happy with this ad, and the way they are making snippets out from it. As the hosts of ET Canada said it, it further strengthen the weird yet cool image she has been riding.

 

Let's see how the general public reacts to this, which is not the neutral and middle of the road Celine that most people is familiar with. This may turn out opening more doors for her, and may continue to help her when she finally releases new music.

I think that liberal people will love it and conservative people will hate it.

 

I actually think it’s about time Celine speaks her mind and stands for a cause that has the potential to be of controversy.

It further goes by the “ I have nothing to prove” mantra she adopted, in a non music way.

Music wise, I think it’s a terrible mantra to go by ( my opinion) but for her personal opinion/ voice, I love it!

Indeed.

 

The fact that the interview is airing on CNN is a risky step in a divided America (the latest Acosta / White House feud showing how deep is the issue)

But I suppose the aim is global and worldwide reach.

I think it could be great for her music as well.

 

I'm glad to see all positive reactions to this ad & brand (so far). If this line succeeds I think they should expand to older teens/young adults, even adults.

I'd buy, I really like that slanted zipper denim jacket & alphabet baggy pants.
