I think over the last 20 years Celine has become a staple in Las Vegas and people respect her privacy. There’s always bad apples but I think she’s protected well. I’m sure she slid in a side door, through private hallways etc. sat in a private box, probably even wore a ball cap just in case. I’m glad she’s getting out and about if this is true hopefully a good sign!

I think it’s a combination of her knowing how to avoid pics when she wants to but also people leaving her be.

I remember years ago, when RC was playing hockey regularly, she would show up at his games and the only way to find her there was through the team photographer - it would be like 40-50 action pics of the game on his site, and you could see Céline in the background of some. But I don’t remember many social media, “star sighting”-type pics of her at those games. The other parents & players seemed to get she was there as a private person, just to be there for her kid.

Céline ❤️

That she's around so many people indicating she's not immuno-compromised, I'll chalk that one pt up on the yay side.

And the twins lol how they've grown.

Not sure where she's based now, I thought Quebec, although this hockey visit could just be a visit as well...

Just wanted to share this clearer front view still:

Really so wonderful to see her, and see her in relatively pretty good health and looking lovely. The trademark Céline handshake was 🍰

RC's certainly done with the teen idol look as in the BB Icon appearance, and now seems ready to tiptoe into the kids, mortgages and taxes territory :) Céline's babies all grown up, aww.

Not to mention the fact that he clearly will never need a mortgage!

Rene Charles looks so much like Celine's dad. I'm sure her sons have helped to heal her emotionally -- and gave her the strength to fight her way back physically. I hope she's stayed connected/reconnected with her siblings during this time too. I'm sure there were a lot of very good things that came out of such difficulty in her life... things that maybe never would have happened if she stayed on the fast-moving train of her career without being forced to stop for such a long time. Hard work and go, go, go was all she knew and seemed like her way of coping with Rene's death. She seemed (from an outsider's point of view) to isolate herself from her family in the years after he died. (The Pepe years). So I hope this has been a healing time for her and her family.

Still can't believe how great and strong she looks.

Yeah maybe she picked up new hobbies!

Presumably ballet is off the table now but she must have filled her days somehow. For all we know she picked up sourdough? Knitting? Scrapbooking? Journaling?

Maybe she wrote some songs?

Years ago she said she can’t really sing jazz & blues convincingly because she hasn’t lived it, because she has had such a happy life, was surrounded by loving family, etc.

Well, in the last few years she has certainly “lived it”.

Was referring to just the look, babe lol to me, he looks so grown up now with more weight on the face and mustache, I almost didn't recognize him in the bg when I first saw a screenshot elsewhere. My last recall of him was I think the BB Icon and Xmas pic in pajamas? when he still looked like a (big) kid.

And I agree with others who say he looks like Céline's dad!

How crazy, Eddy is not even 18 and he has already got a mustache. The twins have put on some weight. They definitely come after Rene, whereas RC comes after Celine Edited by ryba

Martin St-Louis is criticized following a comment he made to Céline Dion

Martin St-Louis is criticized following a comment he made to Céline Dion

As you have probably already seen, the Montreal Canadiens posted a nice video in which we notably see head coach Martin St-Louis meeting none other than Céline Dion.

Watching the video, we found it very friendly and nice to see.

However, not everyone feels the same way.

Following the publication of this video, Martin St-Louis has been the target of numerous criticisms, particularly for the following reason.

"Martin St-Louis's dove.

The only thing Martin St-Louis of the Canadiens has to say to Céline Dion is to talk about her performance of 'La colombe' in front of the Pope! Well! Since then, there have been three popes. And the Titanic song. René's death. And 230 million records sold!

Ah yes! A dove in 1984.

Then the last Stanley Cup... in 1993!

Let's just say he didn't score with that!"

There is no need to reveal the identity of this critic, but let's just say that it's a very respected figure in the media world.

And there are many other similar criticisms.

See also some comments.

"He could have tried a bit harder indeed, he went digging up memories from the archives... Céline responded well.."

"I quite agree with you, because despite the nervousness, he should have been prepared for this encounter. On the other hand, maybe he was not aware because they did not want to create unnecessary stress by knowing it in advance, etc. But the exchange could have been much better."

"Martin dropped the ball... so what? We've all dropped the ball before. I think there are many other topics to talk about than the fact that St-Louis got a little flustered!!!"

"You see, I don't interpret it like you do. He starts by congratulating her for all her achievements. The awkwardness may be explained by the fact that few people go into the locker room, especially after a loss, after a game, other than journalists. And the fact that he remembers the year of the pope still shows a certain general knowledge for a guy who has made a career outside Quebec. I grew up here and I didn't remember the year myself. In short, you interpret it with your artist's eye and I with my hockey eye!"

"You know what... he's the coach of the Montreal Canadiens... Now enough with the intimidation. There's more to Céline than 'La colombe' from 1984. Big miss... Awkward, but there's a limit!"

"I so agree with you. It's embarrassing. Even the hug is too much. He seems to forget he's talking to the queen of Vegas."

There were also some harsher ones.

Obviously, everyone is perfectly entitled to their opinion, but we find them a bit tough on Martin St-Louis.

What do you think?

It proves once again how much the head coach of the Canadiens is seriously (too?) scrutinized.

DO YOU BELIEVE THAT THESE CRITICISMS ARE TOO HARSH?

These people need to get a life. Who gives a sh*t if he brought up a childhood memory of the first time he saw Céline performing. He was clearly nervous - as evidenced by the long handshake.

When I met her in Vegas, I just kept talking about all the upcoming projects I knew she had going on. And she said, “You know more about what’s going on in my career than I do!”

When you’re nervous, you never know what will come out of your mouth. I had no intention to talk about all of those projects… but I said it all anyways.

This is a ridiculous criticism my god. He was there so why not mention it. Celine is a public figure. People relate to events and things she has done. There is no rule book which says he has to discuss recent events or things in her personal life. I’m honestly shocked that anyone can say a bad word about it.

Never spoken to Celine but have been close by to her at shows and communicated through facial expressions etc. Not sure how I would react.

I once met The Queen, as in Elizabeth II, and spoke to her for a minute or so about some work I had been doing. It was a perfectly coherent conversation. About 5 minutes later I was asked what we had said to each other and I had no memory of it whatsoever. I think the surrealness of the experience just fried my brain.

I understand these critics come from a loving and respectful place, but the zealousness cracked me up. Funniest was "He seems to forget he's talking to the queen of Vegas!" Poor guy got some unexpected roasting lol

well, as @RosieBarron mentioned, your brain fritzes when you meet the Queen lol

@Dancing_Queen - now add multiple cameras and eyeballs observing your convo lol the guy gave a sheepish look by the end realizing his talk was a bit too personal for public m&g lol it was awkward but kinda sweet.

@smw - too funny and cute
