She hasn’t said anything about Eric Burrows, which was the bigger surprise to me. He was such a big part of her daily life for so long… Of course lack of a public social media post doesn’t mean lack of private support for his family; I do hope she reached out.

Her social media was also silent after the death of Denise Bombardier, and during the recent national mourning in Quebec when Karl Tremblay died (although the band he led, the "Cowboys Fringants," publicly expressed their solidarity at the news of her illness)...

I'm sure she reaches out in private, no need for that on her socials tbh.

Her twitter at one point already resembled the obituaries (she's worked with SO many people and her other posts are so few and far between).

She must have fired the people who used to manage her social media accounts and now there is silence. Apparently, she has put all business on hold.

maybe they decided to change the whole theme of they post...

to make it more of an "open book" weekly posts about her life, her thoughts.

maybe they are in the process of changing the whole staff....?

 

 

maybe they will hire Claudette as the head of her social media? :-D :-D

I think Dreamy has everyone dreaming…. Unfortunately people are still buying it.

 

If someone keeps saying something EVENTUALLY it’ll happen… I could say now, stay tuned from a message from Celine… and I’d almost probably be right, unless we never hear from her again. If we hear from

Celine 3 years from now I could say I told everyone first.

Of course, I'm limiting myself to her public communications - because in social media it's like diplomacy: both commentary on an event and silence are subject to interpretation. We have no basis or right to speculate about her (or anyone's) private accounts. For me, the silence on Denise Bombardier's death (only a little over a month after the death of Tina Turner, celebrated by a post) was the first significant sign of her withdrawal - perhaps temporary - from public life.

Some misunderstandings have grown up around the "open book" metaphor. As a matter of fact, Céline always decided for herself on which page to open that book; she only communicated openly what she was already sure about and in control of; she never confided her fears and insecurities publicly - until she had them behind her, they remained in the private sphere. Of course, this is her right and her choice, worthy of respect like any other (though frustrating for many fans who would like to feel "best friends" with their idol). Therefore, in the current situation, we have to be patient, because until Céline feels she has regained control of her life, I don't think she will speak out publicly about it. And that could take a really long time.

I don’t mean that in a way to give up. I also remain hopeful in some kind of update soon, my point was to just not take stock in anyone who claims to “inside” info says… especially when it’s cryptic messages.

I agree. At the same time we did get a best of already on Love Again lol I want more than just a random compilations of tracks we all have.

Personally I’m not buying it… however sadly, it’s basically been a world without her for 4 years and counting.

Maybe a GH album along with some new songs (& PMLALS!) :D And I would love new arrangements for the songs, especially the Love Again trailer version of IACBTMN with the orchestra. It sounded AMAZING! I also need a professional recording of the live version of TSMGO since 2016! Edited by ryba

As Sony were the ones to announce the documentary I am sure a greatest hits album was always planned to coincide with it.

 

I've always assumed the same, most likely with a new track (or more than one from the Courage sessions) - still thinking it's an ideal way to release Play Me Like A Love Song. :)

 

Shania released a compilation around her documentary, Wham! just released one around theirs; I just hope it's a thoughtfully curated compilation and not yet another slapdash, all-the-same-content-again cash-in. (Not that they're cashing in much these days with the collapse of Céline's physical sales.)

They switched Celine’s Spotify banner image from the TAST one to the one from TPOL single cover again. So, I’m hoping that means TCOML anniversary celebration will continue again. Like they did last January with the LTAL anniversary celebration. They usually post something on Fridays, so we’ll see if they will tomorrow! 🤞🏻

 

Side note: The new image only seems to show up on desktop Spotify. I can’t see it on the app.

nothing new, a few pictures from 90s era that i haven't seen before

 

Pictures are good. Bit weird they are suggesting on the cover that they have in some way spoken to her for her to look back on her life which clearly they won't have done. Nice to see something positive too.
