It does look nice but for 647 dollars a night I would expect a bit more furniture!

Lol I agree and maybe some plants, some decorations, some art on the wall, ... a picture of the Dion family :giggle: it isn't very inviting now. But you can imagine how it was a lovely home for Thérèse.

So they didn’t sell it after all, but are now renting it? Or was it sold and the new owner is renting it? Is Francois part of the Dion family?

Four years ago today I saw Céline in Jacksonville, Florida. She had the crowd eating out the palm of her hand the second she did the Duval chant right at the start of the show. One of the best concerts I’ve ever been to and I saw TCOML, FIY and LTAL tours from the peak days. I saw her two more times four years ago in Florida. And planned to see the show several more times through the world tour. And then it was all over. 😭

well, at least you were lucky enough to see her not just once but several times

and while she was in her prime

something to be proud of and thankful for :wub:

 

let's hope she will be back with whatever project suits her health condition and personal ambitions best.

It occurred to me earlier, Celine turns 56 this year. It really won’t be long until she’s 60. I find that a crazy thought as she’s always been young to me

I think some this is due to fact we still see all her old performances, interviews and pictures everywhere. It does seem crazy to think it is all the same person. Just like seeing old interviews or shows and seeing Rene and Mama Dion alive is surreal.

Where are these rumours coming from? If she did announce that she was done the Grammys wouldn’t rush a tribute like that. I call BS.

 

A greatest hits album is coming to go alongside the documentary. I think. If Celine isn’t ready to perform or resume anything, the doc and the album will come and go with silence from Celine. I don’t think she would formally announce a retirement. If she does indeed never perform again there will just be silence from this point. Just my 2 cents.

I would love to see the Grammy’s paid a tribute to her. But it’s because they want to acknowledge her career, not because she’s “retiring”.
