Sony will give her attention when she's dead because that is when the most amount of money is made. Until then, unless she has an appetite for more exposure or promo of her catalogue I think we're barking up the wrong tree.

Or they might up their game with things like the documentary. Would be a good time to release a new Greatest Hits collection.

How is anyone still shocked at this point? The anniversary of her best-selling album (FIY) went largely uncelebrated, yet many of you are outraged they didn’t do even more than that for lesser selling albums!?

 

The “I wish…” and “Why don’t they…” statements aren’t going to change anything. Fan campaigns won’t change anything. Until Céline herself makes a major change in the management of her career, we have to learn to accept it.

If Celine isn’t able to do as much live performance in the coming years - and I assume that will be the case - she might finally open herself up to other avenues/strategies.

 

She’s always kept her plate full with concerts and the tickets have always sold. So it makes sense she didn’t branch out too much. But maybe in the coming months and years, she’ll broaden her team and figure out some different tactics to keep her star shining.

 

The difference between Celine and her hardcore fans (and Rene) is that she doesn’t seem to care much about being the biggest and the best. She’s put in her time, she’s achieved a ton… I think she’s probably more content than we are.

So I had this idea of being able to remove the applause from live tracks, and tried this software Moises.ai with Céline Francis Cabrel, Fred Pellerin, and Vincent Niclo's " Je l'aime à mourir " at L'été indien.... still a bit murky on the applause but it did a pretty good job to separate the acapella from the guitar

Celine has "always kept her plate full with concerts" I agree. Its been like that since 2002 and her live shows has always relied on “past hits”. People watch her shows for her voice particularly and her stature as a superstar. Team Celine and her label lack gimmicks and such, they seem to struggle to keep up with the trends. They're not even competent in introducing Céline's discography to the new generation, and poorly handles Céline in the streaming era. Albums had drastic decline since last decade and songs has been superior for many years now. Celine is, an album artist. They handled Courage era so bad. Hopefully, they don't mess up when the documentary comes, and her comeback album in the future. I don't even mind if she moves to other record labels at this point.

I think so too… and that’s a big problem.

 

She needs people who adore her with marketing experience to take over her social media accounts.

 

She needs new management desperately… just to keep up her image / legacy while she takes care of herself at home.

Does anyone know why Capitalisation is used in Celine's English discography, but not in her French?

 

(Capitalisation is the writing of a word with its first letter in uppercase and the remaining letters in lowercase.)

 

Here's a few examples:

English:

My Heart Will Go On

A New Day Has Come

Flying On My Own

 

French:

Pour que tu m'aimes encore

Le blues du businessman

Et s'il n'en restait qu'une (je serais celle-là)

Hello everyone. I don't know, if anyone has noticed, but it appears CDA Productions also runs Whitney Houston's merch label. Was this known to anyone and do you know more? The headquarters is, like Celine's management, in Las Vegas under the direction of Dennis Savage.

Haha well CDA isn't in charge for music releases, that's still the record label.

 

Whitney's boutique has some cool items clothes wise, but also some very doggy ones. Especially with the accessories... a lot of things are like: as long as we can put her name or song on it, it will sell, surely!

Why would it be a joke? The channel seems serious, and it’s not April Fools. I’m just curious why no other fan account is showing anything similar.

 

I also don’t seem to recall ever seeing the shot before. It seems to have been filmed against the same background as the 2021 residency announcement, which is different to all the SPS-related videos. Oh, and her hair is down, which is always a good sign :-D

Yeah, that’s unfortunately an option nowadays… but again, it doesn’t seem like the kind of channel to do that sort of stuff :shrug:

 

Just checked, seems to be the old The Céline Café channel, which was reliable and a great source. Brendan if I’m not mistaken?
