I vaguely remember the fan pics yeah.

Anyone has them?

 

I remember that pic! I also remember how we were speculating if it was really her, and it turned out that it was her indeed, since there were even more pics that she took with fans. This was when she took a long break because of Renes health condition.

It was a really nice surprise when I went to the cinema recently and they were playing Ashes full blast. Wonderful entrance!

But Garou did not totally cut the bridges with Celine Dion:

 

"When we meet it's magical because there are a lot of things happening in our eyes because there has been all this complicity, a real connection [...] We had a unique complicity." The singer who is currently on tour even admits that this distance would result from his own responsibility

I don't know about you, but I always had the impression that Garou was hitting on Celine, but she always tried to "escape" him LOL :D I think this is particularily obious in the Sur Les Plaines backstage footage

Yeah, I've always suspected he had a major crush on her but Celine kept her distance.

Someone had posted on YouTube awhile back, the original studio backing track that Celine used to record "Just A Little Bit Of Love" but I can no longer seem to find it. Did anyone happen to rip the audio and have it as an mp3/mp4?

Agree about the Garou crush. Celine only ever had eyes for Rene, but she was affectionate a few times towards Garou in a way that I am sure he enjoyed.

 

I could not follow what Garou was saying though. What I understood was that he felt he betrayed Celine and Rene because they invested in his career and then he decided he didn't want much spotlight and to try for a huge career.

Very interesting interview. It looks like Celine and Rene vere wery abitious with Garou's career, but it was too much for him and he preferred to scale down, which Celine and Rene didn't understand, so he cut ties with them. I think it's similar to what happened with Celine and Aldo. (Funny that Celine experienced the same in 2016/17. Well, what goes around comes around apparantly). Edited by ryba

Yes, I think that Rene was very ambitous, and Ginette was in a different place in her life at that time and was not that interested in fame and success, but Celine was young and extremely ambitious, and it payed off for them Edited by ryba

No Céline at Montreal Jazz Fest (yet!) but famed jazz vocalist Ranee Lee (from Brooklyn but Montreal based), is doing a show of jazzified Céline covers as part of this year’s festival.
