Her hair story is indeed a bit confusing around this time. Remember just after Y2K she cut her hair very short, almost buzzed. By the next winter she was almost due with RC, and her hair was almost shoulder length. We see her again at the 9/11 tribute. Her ANDHC hair in 2002 is her own with extensions, and she cut it short for the AND rehearsals. Her blonde hair seen at the Woman of the Year awards awards on January 24 2004 is her own (maybe there are some extensions, but it looks pretty thin). Same with Oprah's birthday a few days later. Less than two weeks later at the Grammy Awards she premiered her long, full, brown hair with extensions. These came and went until she began relying on wigs in 2007.

 

I do not believe her hair at the Hollywood Walk of Fame was a wig, though in this photo you can see she may be wearing a synthetic hairpiece over the ponytail.

Compare to this last photo to this next, taken two weeks later. See how her roots are growing out? The bangs are still there, just swept back. She wore it in a similar way to Oprah's party a few days later before finally giving into the full brown extension look for Dance With My Father.

Yea that would be cool to see, a chronological list of "Celines hairstyles over the years"! From the beginnings to her career up to the most recent (well I should say up until 2019/early 2020 as we have NOT seen much of Celine @ all since the pandemic started!)

 

& I think it would be something some of you who are on here every single day can do to pass the time & such (now I am NOT making judgement about who is on this forum more than others, but I do know there are some people who are on here more often than I am, I am not on here every single day & I do not have the time for something like this, sorry...) But for anybody who might have more time & patience for it, I think it would be a GREAT idea! After all, Celine has had so MANY different hairstyles over the years, it would be very interesting to see a whole complete listing of the hairstyles!

Random opinion, since there’s no news to speak of…

 

I follow Carole King on Instagram. She mostly posts old pictures, song lyrics and such. She’s not flashy and it’s nothing “new” but it’s something to keep the conversation alive. I find it funny/sad that a woman in her 70s is more active that Céline Dion. Seriously woman : hire someone to do this for you ! It doesn’t have to be this way.

You know what's really funny...Celine hire people and pays them so much to maintain her social media(including YouTube) but they just don't do anything. They are active only when Celine is on tour. They didn't even made RW residency news a big deal. And it's not that Celine is sick and all so they shouldn't post, they were like this for a long time.

Makes sense. I remember her talking about stomach issues a long time ago, I think around the time she sang at the Olympics. Of course, the media was suggesting she was pregnant. Did she mention her stomach issues on the Rosie O'Donnell show or something?

 

Céline’s management said nothing of the kind. That tweet was just someone misunderstanding an article.

I’d love to see her invited back for the Olympics, have been thinking about it watching these most recent games. It’s a stretch, but perhaps not that much of one? Next games are in Paris, and as I understand it, the opening ceremony is to be held not in a stadium, but as a flotilla along the Seine. Céline may not be French but… she is one of the word’s best-known and biggest ambassadors of the French language, and known / respected worldwide. So maybe (hopefully?)

I think the issue was more the quality of the lyric videos they made are inadequate to her stature in pop music, and there are many talented fans (like Manolo from the forum) who have made some incredible videos far exceeding what her team has ever done.

I also fantasize about that , it would be so amazing. Vancouver was such a missed opportunity ... Paris 2024 is our best hope to have Celine back at the Olympics and the creativity Paris Games is out of this world.

I personally wouldn't care about lyric videos/images coming from TC, no matter the quality (unless it's for a new song). If they were posted by Celine herself (like when she used the Courage lyrics for Rene's memorial post this year) then it's a different story because it's more personal.

Hi, which french Celine songs come to your mind with the theme of courage (in some terms), to me lolita (trop jeune pour aimer) is very much also about courage and would fit the theme on courage world tour (if they followed a theme with the setlist) anythiing else. Which french or english songs would fit?

 

PS: for english songs I think about taking chances, this time, when the wrong one loves you right or everybody's talking my baby down...
