Yawn. Who said we want something new? She could literally perform one of the songs from Courage and share it with us---how about one of the songs that would never otherwise be performed in her life?

 

And let's not pretend the pandemic is the same for someone who is literally so rich that she doesn't need to work a day in her life. Quarantining at your palace estate is far different from quarantining in your apartment and working on a computer the entire day.

 

I am a promoter of empathy, of course, but I get so incensed by people claiming we ask too much of Celine. What is singing for two minutes every two weeks really asking of her? For goodness' sake. For all we know, the picture of her hiking was an old set of pictures as well.

 

This is simply a case of not understanding how much goes into to "singing two minutes every two weeks." Is she going to sing to a track? Is she going to get her band together to play with her? Just a piano player and string player like for "Winter Song?" They'll need to rehearse. They'll all need to quarantine for two weeks before getting together. She'll have to warm up. Is she even training her voice right now? There are so many things that go into it that it's just not as simple as "singing for two minutes." Unless you mean you just want her singing a cappella and I don't think Celine is into that. Or she'd have done it by now.

 

Celine wants to be on a break. Why do some here keep cracking the whip and demanding that she do something/live her life in a way other than she's choosing to do?

She could do an unplugged acapella concert as a Netflix special for all people in the world! That doesn’t require a bunch of musicians to reherse And she always wanted to do that type of thing (remember the 2013 interviews)

Seriously, the poor people privilege over rich people? I find that fascinating in a way. Rich people have their problems too. Being stuck in their huge houses might look appealing to most of us but if you are used to flying anywhere in the world, wherever you want, being stuck in your estate might also be annoying to them. I don't feel sorry for them but you have to look at it from their point of view too.

Celine, well if she doesn't feel like doing a live show/performance then that's her decision. We still got some treats in the last year so let's count our blessing, shall we?

Do we know they're not getting paid? Celine seems to be pretty generous person. She could still be paying her personals staff during this time.

Again with people thinking/assuming we are demanding the world. Hello, have you not seen all of the virtual concerts done over the past 6-7 months? Celine did it with Gaga/Bocelli/John Legend. They don't need to be physically together.

 

And on what planet would Celine singing acapella be a bad thing? She already posted something acapella on her Instagram recently (SOTR). Besides, if she was off-key, she could simply hear it upon listening back and re-record as necessary. And, yes, she would have to warm up. Wouldn't be hard or unusual for her.

And my point is, she can still have over 90% rest and still give the fans what they want without too much energy. You are creating a false dichotomy between rest and work in this specific instance.

 

She doesn't want to do it, fine. But don't say it's because doing it would threaten her ability to rest. She can sleep in, have her coffee, do her ballet, take a nice bath, meditate and still have a few minutes to record something on a cell phone one day out of the month.

i guess her "rest" means keeping away from social medias and work.

 

Her rest means

- meditate/yoga

- ballet

- taking more time with her kids

- watching more movies/series

- cooking/baking

- massage

- sunbathing

- learning more about gadgets (laptop, iPad)

- online shopping

- resting her vocals (which is good. Maybe when she goes back onstage. Her voice will be in top shape, more strong)

 

When the time comes. I'm sure we'll be spoiled AGAIN. So, don't get jealous with "other" artists because they barely release their material and appearances in public unlike Céline

lets just be real here, she doesn’t care about her fans. She is doing it for the money, and she always did, even in the very beginning of her career. Yes, maybe she loves to perform for crowds, but she sees that as her job. Do you seriously believe that she does it out of courtesy? No, she does it Because it gets her more money than she could ever spend. This time clearly shows us that she has no serious interest in her fanbase, cause if she seriously did, she would offer something special to compensate for her absence from stage, even if it was a freaking short video message on her social media. Instead they upload old pictures that were taken some time ago while preparing for the tour to make the impression that she is active on social media.

Do you know what, you are completely right. There are many things we don’t have to do in life but we do it because it helps others. Celine has a massive platform and can touch a lot of people.

 

What she does is up to her but I can’t say I’m a little disappointed at how little she has given her fans this year, when many other artists have. I didn’t expect the world, but as a fan of Celine for so many years and seeing her kind heart, I did expect a little more. Yes she deserves time off, she has done so much in her career and I agree with that argument, but it doesn’t take a lot on her end to do something special for the fans that have supported her entire career.

haha you are defintely right about that: NOPE, NONE of those pictures she has posted are new!! ALL of them so far are old & have been posted PREVIOUSLY within the last few years, either by "team celine" themselves, or by any of the various "celine dion fan accounts" on facebook/instagram/twitter/pinterest/youtube/snapchat, etc (a.k.a. "the red heads", "celine dion greece", etc...) in fact the ONLY ACTUAL RECENT APPEARANCE of celine since the pandemic started in march was that online concert "stay @ home together" she did with lady gaga, andrea bocelli, & john legend where they had all sung "the prayer" together, which was back in april, which was OVER 6 MONTHS ago!! but my point is, none of the pictures are current!! they were all taken back in 2016/2017/2018/2019 during previous photoshoots, tour promos, videos while touring (such as the video where she is in PERTH singing in front of a hotel window, that was NOT filmed this year, that was filmed during the 2018 tour!! we all know she DID NOT visit perth again this year, especially with the pandemic still going on & the travel ban STILL going on in the U.S. because of the coronavirus!!

I'll learn from Celine and stay classy in this one. But I'll just point out according to your logic that if Celine owes us nothing, than we owe her nothing. Which is quite the earth-shattering revelation to those many fans here who think Celine should never be criticized in any form and that everyone should be loyal and enamored with her every move.

 

I don't demand anything of Celine. I simply pointed how how relatively effortless it would be for her to provide her fans with some content. And you previously agreed, as have others. She doesn't want to do it. That's fine. Her choice. But fans are taking note and feel various ways about it. Celine Dion knows how to keep things totally natural while surrounded by nature.

 

At least, that's what we're taking away from a new Instagram photo she posted Monday, which it turns out is Thanksgiving in Canada:

 

"In challenging times it's even more important to reflect on everything that we are thankful for," she wrote in both French and English. "I hope you find moments of peace, happiness, and love, today and every day. #HappyThanksgivingCanada!"

 

But what's perhaps most striking about the images is how they show off the natural beauty of Mother Nature — and of Dion, who doesn't appear to be wearing makeup. And they both look terrific.

 

This isn't the first time Dion has appeared bare-faced; in 2019 her video "Imperfections" featured the Canadian chanteuse completely without decoration in the final shots.

"I got my own imperfections/I got my own set of scars to hide/I got my own imperfections/I can't hold your heart when I'm fixing mine," she sang in the chorus.

 

And she's not afraid of what people might think, or about shaking things up; in August, Dion posted another Instagram in which she rocked a futuristic Thierry Mugler suit, and last week she showed off some long, seriously curly locks for a throwback look.

Natural diva! Céline Dion posted a rare makeup-free pic and — no surprise here! — she looks drop dead gorgeous.

 

On Monday, October 12, the 52-year-old shared a picture of herself enjoying the outdoors while acknowledging what she’s grateful for. “In challenging times it’s even more important to reflect on everything that we are thankful for,” she wrote in the accompanying caption. “I hope you find moments of peace, happiness, and love, today and every day. #HappyThanksgivingCanada!”

 

Though it’s not often we see the music legend without makeup, it’s far from the first time. After all, who could forget her epic “Imperfections” music video, in which she slowly removes her makeup throughout the nearly 4-minute black-and-white video.

 

As the Canadian beauty sings the lyrics, “I’ve got my own imperfections, I’ve got my own set of scars to hide,” she sits at a vanity and wipes away her foundation, eyeliner and lipstick to reveal a totally fresh-faced complexion.

 

When speaking with Us last year, the L’Oreal Paris spokesmodel said she loves how beauty has the power to make women feel confident and strong. “Maybe you’re not out there on stage, or out there on TV, but we all have a voice. Because we are worth it. We have dreams.” And feeling good about how you look is not just a feeling, she says. “Feeling beautiful makes you feel strong. And feeling strong makes you succeed.”

Though she’s always been a fan of glamorous makeup, it’s really her impeccable, bold sense of fashion that has made headlines. When the “My Heart Will Go On” singer appeared on Carpool Karaoke in 2019, she confirmed she keeps 10,000 pairs of shoes stored in a warehouse in Las Vegas.

 

She told WWD in 2017 that she has a hard time getting rid of things. “I cannot give anything away, because every piece that I buy has brought me to where I am tonight. They’re part of every step that I take and I have an attachment to it,” she told the publication. “You can call it crazy. I keep everything, but I just keep buying a bigger space.” No kidding!
