I think the Trumps (yuck) are co-opting how MHWGO was used to play over videos of Trump supporters' boats sinking recently. Anyway, I am glad Sony is taking action.

I just re-watched this interview and I really find it to be one of the most, if not the most unique interviews in her career.

 

I wonder what your opinions about it are? I would be so happy to read your comments. She seems so real, not playing. In the Barbara Walter interviews she seems more "prepeared" and diplomatic, but this is totally different, don't you think?

I HATE all that drama around her hair during that time. So many things to focus on, so many questions to ask and they kept talking about that hair over and over. And that wasn't even her worst look (Live à Paris I'm looking at you). Honestly it wasn't even bad. It's so much usual for artists to change their looks from time to time, I don't understand how could what have been such an issue for everyone. Sexism at its finest I guess?

 

EDIT: Just finished watching. The interviewer was pushing Celine and Rene to their limits it seems, they look really pissed off sometimes. Some of the questions were really cringy.

Yes! If I was them, I would kick her out and would not allow her to air this interview. This was beyond rude.

I like her hair during that era, but yes the outfit is kinda all over the place. To me her worst ever look is the LAP one. Her hair looked like a helmet (I wonder how much they sprayed it to keep it that way???) and the catsuit was hideous.

I actually like her hair in ‘Live à Paris’ and that TPOL performance. I even like the outfits too. To me the 2003 hair (in all of its variants) is definitely the worst. I’m glad there was so much complaining regarding her hair in 2003, it forced her to change it.

Yes, the Meat Loaf outfit was horrible. But she can't top that Billboard outfit and hair.. :sick:

I think she looks better blonde, and the black leather was simple and sleek...even if her body was very unflattering in it. She wore leather a lot more successfully during FIY era with the white leather suits imo.

It wasn't the cut of the hair, I liked the style. I do not like the bleach blonde! As for the outfit, meh. I don't mind her showing skin but this one looked like she got it at Walmart, lol. Just my thoughts of course. :giggle:

Haha, it’s not my favorite look, but she had grown into her body more. But in my opinion, regarding overall look, her TCOML era was her worst moments. Short hair with ruffle-filled stuff

Sorry, but the dress looked cheap and the blonde hair was too light.

I prefer Céline with darker hair. Not back, just a medium brown.

 

You can easily see the difference if you compare the 2013 tour with the 2018 tour. Same hairstyle just different shade.

The best is yet to come...

I never said her dress was great. You think she looks worse here than in the TCOML era in her worst outfits of that time? Maybe a little too light, but her being any shade of blonde is better than brown....and her 1993-94 era hair looks like she went to some cheap barber.

Ha! That was the “Rachel” haircut that was so über popular. At the time, I remember being kinda embarrassed that she fashioned her hair after a TV character but literally everyone had that haircut so she was just following the trend.

 

Edited to add: Now that I think about it. Maybe she only had the “Rachel” for the tour and not the album cover? I’ll have to try to find a photo of the cover - don’t have the cd anymore. I may just have that haircut in my head for the whole FIY period. In my mind she had it by the time of the BYLM video though didn’t she?

Oh yes the famous Rachel haircut, she had that hair in the early 1996 (like in the Montreal concert), but not for the FIY-photoshoot.

I don’t believe she had a ponytail in this picture. Her hair was short when FIY came out, presumably even shorter when the photo shoot took place. I think her hair here is like in one of the pics posted above (the one on the right).

Yes, it was either clipped back without ponytail or just was naturally short, but I really love her hair and look here

 

 

Red suits her in this case, I guess with some lighting changes too

Anyone think that Celine could be on the new season of The Masked Singer? This season is the only real time she would have to devote to it cuz of Covid19 and all. I saw the sneak preview episode of the new season tonight and the first celebrity on there was dressed in a stripped dress and her clues were a makeup table with perfume on it, a gold hand and she said the word Miracle in her clue. Hmmm. Could it be? :hmm:

ehhh, while that would be cool (since i REALLY LIKE that show very much!) but in reality celine would most likely NOT be on "the masked singer" mainly because her voice IS SO RECOGNIZED! i mean most people, even the general public, know what her voice sounds like @ this point in her career...

 

seriously THE ONLY WAY celine could be able to participate on that show & not be recognized would be if she DISGUISED HER VOICE really well... & if this was the 90s, she could do that with no problem... but nowadays @ her current age & the state of her voice now - uhh-uhh, not likely to happen... sorry but being honest... 😔😑
