There was a NYT article from 1997 that said her nails had been cut because she was practicing guitar.

Yeah, yeah... these were special times! And 2016 with Aldo was a great repetition of that.

 

I wish they would do the same when her new album comes out. Get her literally everywhere and overexpose her again! :D

Chuck Taylor ... is an American music journalist. He served as a reporter, senior writer,[1] columnist and senior editor at Billboard magazine from 1995 to 2009.

 

Taylor's artist specialty at Billboard was Céline Dion. He penned seven front-page articles about the singer, including the first international interview for the release of her 2003 album "A New Day," up through her 2007 "Taking Chances" album,[10] released Nov. 13. He also led a Celine Dion Special Section[11] in the magazine in February 2008; and wrote liner notes for Sony Music for the re-release of both Dion's "These Are Special Times" Christmas album and "A New Day Has Come" and was a media spokesman on VH1's "Behind the Music" and E!'s "True Hollywood Story" on Dion, while also being quoted in publications regarding the artist, including The New York Times.

This is SUCH an interesting read. Celine gets many mentions...he says pop divas are “very jealous creatures” and that’s one of the reasons he stopped working with Mariah...because of Celine.

Walter A comes off kind of bitter in that article. Saying jealousy was the problem is silly - he started working with Celine in 1991 on Beauty and the Beast and was working with Mariah til the late 90s. “Falling out” seems too strong a term - it’s not like Mariah has been saying bad things about him - they just stopped working together because of contract issues and her divorce. He’s bitter that he doesn’t get acknowledged, which may be understandable, but that’s not really a falling out.

I’m guessing Celine doesn’t want one... she was the 1st headliner in that venue, I’m surprised Rene never pushed for it.

I miss that musical Céline. It's that the facet of her personality and as a singer that I like the most, and ironically, the one we get the more scarce, sadly.

 

If only she shared more of these stories behind the songs instead of all the fashion show she constantly does with pictures... :doh:

I just downloaded the Youtube music app. First, they want to know the artists you are interested in, and I've been scrolling down like for MILES and Celine is not listed! I get Mariah , Whitney, Aretha, Queen, Carole King... Everyone related to Celine, but not Celine :wtf: :doh: :confused1: Seriously uncool.

 

Edit. Scrolled all the way down. She wasn't listed. :down:

 

Edit.2 I tried My Mix Tape, and the first song was partout je te vois.... so .... The algorithm had probably picked Celine from the original YT app and didnt even bother to ask ... :blush:
