Is there a topic for the Dion chante Plamondon album here? I searched, but couldn't find it. Recently I've been completely obsessed with it in a way I've never been before. I just think the production quality of this album is through the roof. I just love the mixing of instruments and the instruments itself so much, and Celine's voice is as perfect as it's ever been.

I would like it, if it would become true, because save your soul (rap part version) is one of my most favorite songs, I would like to have a kind of part two of it in french... I was talking to a fan Trish who met celines brother tonight at lady gagas show and michel told her that Celine treated her entire crew and team as Christmas gifts to Lady gagas show tonight all the band wardrobe sound lighting everyone crew she is at the concert tonight and saw celines brother. Shes the one who met Celine last night with her little boy

If she's there I'm surprised there aren't pictures already. When she went to Katy Perry's concert people recognized her quickly and uploaded many pictures.

I just discovered this song and I wanted it to share it with you, I think it's extremely touching, true and beautiful. I think it would also be perfect for Celine. I like the fact that modern artists go beack to such romantic 90/00 ballads.

Awww i know i love that song it made me think of celine and rene and cry because of how much she misses him. Omg if you read the lyrics it’s basically feels to me about celine losing rene and never being with anyone else but him awwww also my friend trish said Celine got emotional on New years eve twice talking about rene after because you loved me and after can’t help falling in love with you. They just played You're the Voice in a store, I've never heard it played before. I kept singing it as Celine sings it lol. Once you've heard Celine's version it's hard to sing it as it was originally.

 

Oh lord, they're playing MHWGO lol. This is actually the first time I've ever heard it on the radio.

Lots of people - including Celine - getting shamed for not speaking out in this R Kelly doc over the past few days.

While I get it - it's ugly and messy and people don't want to get involved - this kind of complacency is what allowed his behaviour to persist for so long.

Hope he ends up behind bars and gives these women some closure.

ok, well since we don't have the album topic up, Here is just my Opinion whats going to happen next ,, well since she end this current set of shows in JAN , I think she will announce the New Album , and also tour dates for up-coming tours,( if not then something to do with her line as in clothes / handbags ,,) then she heads back to do the rest of her shows, what do you all think

I hope so much that you´re right and we will get the release date of the first new single, the album and the dates for her upcoming tour(s) in january or early february. While I think it would have been good to show support for the victims I think shaming them is uncalled for. This documentary isn't presenting any further proof of his culpability. I don't know the circumstances of how they came to work together but maybe Celine chose to not speak to protect Rene's image? But also how much can she say? I doubt she spent much time with him and when she was with him she was most likely surrounded by her people so she was likely not privy to any questionable behavior from him.

Céline and R.Kelly didn't even shoot the video together, they were in different places. For all we know, they only met when they recorded the song.

 

Besides, it's always easy to talk with the advantage of hindsight. At the time, it wasn't exactly common knowledge that R.Kelly was a creep. I remember it was already rumoured that he had married Aaliyah when she was 15, but I imagine Céline would not be one to criticize based on that alone.

I've never really liked I'm Your Angel and it's got nothing to do with R.Kelly's allegations. I just don't like the song much. As for R.Kelly... He seems guilty, and I've always thought he was.

 

I'm Your Angel is also the only song of Celine that became a big hit that I just wasn't on board with. Clearly a lot of people liked the song as it became so pupular, but I always wondered why this song never really grew on me.

Oh I don't expect her to comment - I don't think she had much of an inkling about any of this 20 years ago, and it would be doubly complicated for her given what some people think about Rene. Nothing good would come of her getting involved. (Plus she has every right to decline participating in anything she doesn't want to do, clearly. Nevertheless, she's one of the names getting called out for not speaking up for this doc.)

 

The collaboration with him is much more questionable from someone like, say Lady Gaga, who worked with him in 2013, long after many of these allegations came out (and had Terry Richardson of all people direct the music video!)

 

This documentary isn't presenting any further proof of his culpability.

 

I haven't seen it yet so can't comment about the specific doc and what is / isn't in it, but what's sad is that this doc even had to be made. It should have never gotten this far. Pretty clear from everything that's become known about him in recent years that the man is a predator and should have been held accountable years ago.

Glad to see this culture of silence around powerful, toxic men in the entertainment world is methodically getting dismantled, one case at a time.

 

(And if I'm Your Angel never gets performed live again, I'd be more than happy. Always been a bore.)

It shouldn't. The song won't sound any different regardless. Anyhoo, I would be fine if she released a solo version. Not that I think that's likely, or that it'll change my opinion of the song, lol.
