DionFanAlways Posted January 18, 2014 at 01:05 AM Posted January 18, 2014 at 01:05 AM i think it is a new show..Yeah I just saw a commercial for it now.I've had Bravo on and I forget that David Foster is on the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills I just think..."how?" Lol his wife is probably the most sane though!Yeah..... maybe the least "fake" I don't know though 1 I have had the time of my life following this woman! Much love.
québecflower Posted January 18, 2014 at 01:10 AM Posted January 18, 2014 at 01:10 AM would it be great to have a show with vintage divas...Mariah, Celine and some new ones who want a place in the sun. I would be scotched . 1 Plus qu'ailleurs , but now Si c'était à refaire , i still love tant de temps....

CelinesDIVO5 Posted January 18, 2014 at 04:53 AM Posted January 18, 2014 at 04:53 AM Thinking about it, In my opinion, I think both albums show that they are still debating about taken one of the ways or just keeping doing this... a mixed album with more acoustic and mature songs and modern low pop songs... like wanting to be in the 20's and in the 30's at the same time.. trying to find new younger audience but keeping the mature one... TC had the lead single, Surprise surprise, That's just the woman in me, Right next to the right one, new dawn, a song for you, My love, Skies of L.A, more mature and acoustic songs, then there was Eyes on me, shadow of love, I got nothin left or Fade away destined to younger audience (totally failed purpose in my opinion) and some rocking experiments like Alone, This time or Can't fight this feeling... But there was clearly this two sides the acoustic one and the "modern" one... For me TC was the first step to finally fall in a completely and natural more mature audiences letting back all this attempts to still catch young audiences like in early 2000 or 90's when she is definetely out of this market. Celine Vegas show was for me the next step in this way, taking classics and the orchestra thing etc... But then they face a new album and again they face this two ways... like never daring to give the final step... because maybe there is still opportunities to please new younger audiences... so once again we have more serious and meaning songs like Breakaway, Water and a flame, Didn't know love, Thankful, at17, Thank You, How do you keep the music playing, overjoyed, Lullaby (goodnight my angel)... and then this new modern pop attemps in the middle of nowhere (modern but a little bit outdated, very 90's but with a modern touch but not enough) Somebody loves somebody, save your soul, Unfinished songs.... And of course in both album the little present to the 90's hardcore fans ballads, A world to believe in and Always be your girl....I don't say nothing about LOved me back to life song because I think that it is the best experiment she has made probably in all her career... the unique modern fresh ballad, completely dated song that sadly has passed without notice but it has been a great great attemp and 100% satisfaying in its intentions... Let's wait for the next move... but I think she will keep this classic/"modern" style because it is becoming (if it has not always been) in the signature style. We will never see a fully modern album or a fully jazzy album.... too hard for them to try... This post was so confusing. I'm sorry, I know English is not your first language. But you say here that LMBTL the song is on it's own because its the most modern...but it's dated. How is that? 2 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PL54qnRGM2gMatthew Charles - "Fix You" - Live at The Stonewall InnStonewall Sensation - Season 15Originally written and performed by Coldplay
CelinesDIVO5 Posted January 18, 2014 at 04:54 AM Posted January 18, 2014 at 04:54 AM I dislike TC mostly because I just don't like the harder rock sounds - whether it's Celine or anyone else singing it. I literally cannot listen to Can't Fight the Feeling or That's Just the Woman in Me . . I just dislike the sound of that type of music. And I find many of the ballads (A Song For You, Skies of LA) boring. And then most of the rest of the songs, for me, are ok but that not special. My Love is lyrically interesting - and personal to Celine - but the live version is 100 times better than the album version -- and the song itself, in terms of melody, is pretty uninspired. This Time is also lyrically interesting -- probably one of the better songs on the album. Also, I think her voice just wasn't in that great shape. She's Celine Dion, so it sounded pretty good, of course, but I think that, in terms of the quality of her voice, it's easily her weakest album. So LMBTL was such a treat for me -- her voice is in incredible shape, and she chose fabulous songs with great melodies, great uptempo songs, songs that were personal to her, songs that told stories, fun duets . . Love it! For me, it's not a question of getting used to Celine doing something different . . I'm never going to like most rock music, whether Celine or anyone else is singing it. I liked LMBTL because I like the styles of the songs, I love Celine's voice, and I adore Celine. I find it funny that you like "This Time" because it's the one song on TC that has the most authentic rock edge lol 1 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PL54qnRGM2gMatthew Charles - "Fix You" - Live at The Stonewall InnStonewall Sensation - Season 15Originally written and performed by Coldplay

chocolatechip15 Posted January 19, 2014 at 05:00 PM Posted January 19, 2014 at 05:00 PM I find it funny that you like "This Time" because it's the one song on TC that has the most authentic rock edge lol I guess we all define rock differentlly. I find the lyrics on This Time interesting -- darker and different, and the passion with which Celine sings it elevates it. I also find the contrast between the light, high-pitched, "ah-ahs" and the darker (and lower-pitched) rest of the song interesting. And it has a melody. For me, that's the biggest thing with disliking rock . .I don't like songs without melody, which (not really knowing anything about music) - is how rock seems to me. More like screaming than singing. Just my opinion. I kind of like rock if it has a melody (I love Aerosmith's Crazy, for instance. I'm not sure if that's rock). 1

Groups like Aerosmith are called hard rock with some mix sounds like pop, soul.I particularly prefer styles with sweet melody, Aerosmith, Gun´s Roses, U2, Bon Jovi, Red Hot....they are so distinct. I don´t like heavy metal at all, that seems to me like a bunch of crazy people screaming and beating pans. sfbaysinger Posted January 19, 2014 at 09:10 PM Posted January 19, 2014 at 09:10 PM I am so happy that the person whose mom and aunt were in an accident, that they are okay. Second, I loved the TC album. I didn't think the songs that were harder for her were too hard. I thought it was tasteful and right on the edge. Also, I loved This Time and thought it has a Very Important message. I heard that she did not want to do that song but if it can save even One life, I'm so happy she did it. I also am not a huge fan of rock, but the way I define rock is the scream-o heavy metal stuff. There is some good rock, as has been said, that has great melody, amazing lyrics that really voice the common man's experience. I just don't like the ones that scream and don't sing. That's not talent in my opinion, but then again you don't see me doing it. Even though I am totally blind, I'm so up for us all gathering on the world's biggest bed and watching Celine videos, provided there is 1 no criticism, and 2 a sighted person with good descriptive skills. I KNOW Celine is a singer, but people, seriously there are visual things about her that unlucky people like me miss out on. So if anyone ever feels like describing anything about her to me, PLEASE do! Also, what happened to Luis? Why did he leave? Could someone tell me? I don't like that, he's a very loyal/dedicated fan and an all-around funny person! 3 L'immensite de mon amour pour Celine! L'amour existe encore pour elle!

donpi86 Posted January 20, 2014 at 06:37 PM Posted January 20, 2014 at 06:37 PM This post was so confusing. I'm sorry, I know English is not your first language. But you say here that LMBTL the song is on it's own because its the most modern...but it's dated. How is that? Sorry I've been disconnected this week to answer and sorry you felt my post "soooo confusing" yeah.. probably I'm confused about the use of the "date/outdate-dated/outdated" words, etc... What I was trying to say is that LMBTL is the only song in the album, in my opinion, that sounds completely and satisfactorily fresh and modern, like a modern hit (a modern ballad like Diamonds (Sia's touch) ) So I thought that "dated" was the opposite of outdated....
sfbaysinger Posted January 20, 2014 at 06:39 PM Posted January 20, 2014 at 06:39 PM Dated and outdated are quite similar actually but I can see the probability of being confused by those concepts. 1 L'immensite de mon amour pour Celine! L'amour existe encore pour elle!
