Ha, then you win this round of trivia :-D

 

I didn't realize she was that young when she had such serious feelings for Rene. Not that 16 is old, but when you read her book she approached it so maturely that it's hard to believe she was that young (no one turn this comment into drama, I am not implying anything at all). But, I guess it is probably because she was only really around adults.

Haha I may still be wrong, but that is my calculations according to her book "My Story, My Dream"

 

 

and I know, and talking about wanting him to whisk her away to an island and make love to her...mighty mature for her age I'd say! She kept her eyes on the prize ;)

Wow thats good to know about when she dropped out. I too thought it wasat twelve, but having read what was said through the book here and what I've read myself it could be between the ages of 13 to 15 years.

:laugh: Who knew that her "bad" years happened so young.

 

I have no idea why I kept thinking she was 16 at that competition. You are 100% right she was 14 there! Maybe my brain couldn't accept that any 14 year old could do that, would think to do that, and would have the moxie enough to do that, haha. She was smoother than most people twice her age lol. No wonder Rene hugged her then let her go so fast after she did that, haha.

 

I guess she gets the last laugh though---they did end up together. So, I guess persistance paid off :)

After two months waiting for my Deluxe edition from the Official Boutique, they finally concluded that my package got lost and they´re going to refund me.

I don´t want money, I want my CD!!!!!

 

Do you believe this? I bought it on presale like September.....

Why can't they send you another one? Are they out of deluxe versions? I wouldn't be too happy about them just refunding my money.

^His opinion, stupid article.... Wow... I like when people say that Celine's the problem with the music industry today. Really?? Those people have rights to their opinions but the same time, there are peoplewho write or dont write songs are the biggest piles of caca in the industry and people call their stuff art. What the hell? These critics and the music industry is just whats screwed up. So really I can tell you a few bands and singers that are whats wrong with the music industry but I am not going to do that. However, I will say they are they are the worst offenders.

Another thing, just because I listen to Celine Dion I dont know music? Are you serious? Please that generalization is full of crap. Who are they to judge? Music is for everybody!

I strongly dislike that article. He neglects the fact writers, at times, write songs specifically for her that relate to some aspect of her life; to which she would sing quite sincerely. Edit: the first one lol Edited by ehild

I don't know how do you still trust the official boutique. It's the most expensive place to buy Céline items, they use the most expensive shipping methods, and if that wasn't enough, delivery takes ages to arrive! :wacko: Next time I should try Amazon if I were you :)

Pretty clever response. B) But yes, I agree, Amazon is much better. I've only ordered from the boutique once and it was because there was something else pretty specific I wanted to go with my order. If I was someone who ordered back in November (and even with the pre-sale in September) and I still hadn't received it, I'd get my money back and order from somewhere else!

I wish she would perform or had performed more songs from LTAL... Where is the Love, Miles to Go, Us, Immortality, and Love is On the Way are beautiful songs that were barely performed or never at all. :down:

This weekend I decided to listen to taking chance again, first time since LMBTL came out. This album has been a slow grower for me, listened a few times and put it away when I first bought it in 2007. I did not appreciate it at first and it took years, until about 2010 before I even listened to it again and learned to really appreciate it. So, now after listening to LMBTL it's like I understand TC more. I think it was a great transition album that was setting the stage for something to come, you know, getting some more uptempo, edgy songs but still maintaining the voice quality that fans were used to. Now the latest release she's trying to update the sounds to her voice, different songs, etc. It just seems more like a natural progression now, what do you guys think?

She performed 'Immortality' and 'Love Is On The Way' during her LTAL tour, but we never got a real HQ performance. I also miss a HQ clip of the beautiful acoustic medley she did. In my opinion, not releasing a DVD from the Anglophone leg of the LTAL tour, which marks the peak of her popularity, is the worst decision her team has ever made. Edited by LukeD
