yes, she also said that during an interview with Julie Snyder in 1998; they showed the clip to Celine during the Des Nouvelles De Céline interview in late 2010 and she was so surprised! haha

 

 

Thanks for reminding me of this interview, i watched it when it first aired but couldn't understand as i don't speak french, does an english translation exist???

Ziggy wasn't live and it was the english version

And it wasn't that Ave Maria. Still good to watch it though!! :flowers:

I was wondering if someone from the forum taped Because You Loved Me from Celine's June 17th 2012 concert?

 

Celine did a shout out to me saying she loved me, right near the end of that song. I didn't get a chance to film it. I really hope someone could help me out. I would really appreciate it. :)

While I am very happy with Celinedion.com's recent attempts to consistently post news and updates, I notice there has been little outreach to TeamCeline members since January. I wonder what we can expect in conjunction with these new albums?

I didn't know until today that Celine did a duet with Tony Bennett, "If i ruled the world" the song is gorgeous and I can't get enough of these vocals! Gah I love it so much!!!!! :wub: :o

Random idea: Who else here thinks we should start a petition to send to Feeling Productions to demand that Celine signs up for a limited engagement in New York City, at Carnegie Hall, to promote the new albums? The current LV show is ideally suited for such a performance. She could do all covers, and some jazz standards, with the Lincoln Center jazz orchestra. And she could end with an encore performance of "Somewhere Over the Rainbow." Every gay man in Chelsea would buy tickets. It would be insane!

A few interesting things I've noticed over the weekend:

 

*Recording a Greatest Hits in French was expected since 1999; René said (during a press conference in Quebec that year) that Céline is expected to release a Greatest Hits Compilation in French with 3 new songs. I wonder if she had recorded 3 songs before the ones we got in 2005 and why it took them so long... :confused1:

 

*Apparently, her part during the performance of Tout Près Du Bonheur during the Gala Artis in 2006 was lipped to the album version, while Marc Dupre's part was totally live.

 

*What about her performance of God Bless America at the Superbowl in 2003? It was clearly lipped to the studio track, but, when the camera gets closer to Celine we can hear certain differences, I guess she was singing while the track was playing.

 

*Céline herself confirmed in 1983 that she had recorded D'amour ou D'amitié in French, German, Spanish and Italian. I wonder what happened with those two unreleased versions of the song...

 

*Last but not least, who said that there's an italian version of the song La Diva?

She said it after she sang Mammy Blue at the canadian TV show "Allô Boubou" in 1983. How I wish that this version was available for Spanish fans... :down:
