I watched an interview with Celine from '98 which included a clip from another interview from '96, and Celine swore! She said bullshit. I was shocked, and then rather pleased!!

Made me wonder - has she ever sworn on tv any other time???

My random thought for the day is this: how come i keep seeing photos of meets and greets with Celine. Just fan ones. How in the name of God are they getting to meet her??!!

There are no contests , so what must be done!! Wish i had met her when i went on my hols to vegas! i met rene, but id obviously LOVE to meet Celine.

Celine's shows are over on Aug 19th. Does anyone know what month she will be returning? It must be the same as last year, but i can't remember the dates for last years shows.

 

Celine tickets for the next block of shows must be going onsale soon. Last year the TC presale was on Sept 14th!

Once she wrapped in August, she was back right after Christmas (I think). At first, I assumed she'd follow the same schedule, but isn't she due to be in Europe at the end of the year? Other than that little gem of info, I know nothing

Anyone else seen the advert for the film The Wedding Video???? Just saw it (well, was half watching it!) and it looked like a bride was doing the Titanic pose in her wedding dress moving through the reception. Then she falls over the rails into a table!!

Like how did it start? I know that she is well known for it, but I never understood where it came from.

How would people feel about Celine doing a tour (or at least maybe incorporating this into her current Vegas stay)....where she performed songs live that she's NEVER performed live before? I'm sure it's been brought up, so that's why I put this in the random section I would love to see a setlist like this:

Yeah I know what you mean, but I still say we don't give up hope. Technically this isn't impossible...we just need to show that her fans WILL pay for a show like this. Even if it was like 10 performences or less with this track list.... I at least hope they'll give it a shot.

That would've been a great setlist for a tour in 2003 (excluding Shadow of Love), but I really just want to hear her singing a ton of brand new, original songs.

That's one of the thousands of questions I have noted down in my X-Files Folder about Céline Dion One of the many interesting questions about music that journalists could answer Céline when they have her in front of them for an interview and when she's promoting an album. I guess we'll never have answer for these kind of questions

The most likely explanation is that the "One Heart" album was quickly put together after Celine signed her deal with "Chrysler." They used "Have You Ever Been In Love" in some of the commercials Celine appeared in therefore it was included it Celine's latest album regardless of it having appeared on the last one.

Speaking of Celine and Mariah....I never understood the comparison. When I think of the vocal trinity (Celine/Whitney/Mariah)....I always felt that Celine and Whitney were comparable. They were BOTH capable of singing each other's songs. I just don't think Mariah has that ability. I've always been able to admit that Whitney can sing like Celine (at least before drugs and death), and I know Celine can sing Whitney songs.

 

While I aknowdge Mariah's almost uncomparable talent....I just don't feel she can do what Celine and Whitney are/were capable of. I also don't think Mariah's voice is as "pretty" or "beautiful" as Celine or Whitney's voice.

Speaking of Celine and Mariah....I never understood the comparison.

It is a little hard to understand. They have some things in common - they're almost the same age, they both started in the USA in 1990 as 'Sony' singers, and they are/were both famous mainly for their love ballads. Whitney is a little different. She's a little older and both Celine and Mariah were her fans, they found some inspiration in her. So... Whitney is the 'leader' and Mariah and Celine are the 'followers' in a way so, I think, that's why people tend to compare them.

 

I also don't think Mariah's voice is as "pretty" or "beautiful" as Celine or Whitney's voice.

This particular thing is a matter of your taste, I'd say. Personally, I've always prefered Mariah to Whitney.

Well at first I would skip "The power of love", "My heart will go on", "To love you more"! I heard them enough through the years.

I would add more french and more up tempo songs I guess.

Although not a TV interview, I believe she said "f*ck" during the Taking Chances sessions. It was quite the debate a few years ago.
