Do you think it's weird the total gross of a Celine's TC show is really close to that of Coldplay's Mylo Xyloto concert, despite the fact that Celine's tickets were much more expensive?

 

Coldplay's price ranges from $49 to $97, while those of Celine were far more costly.

I was listening to La Boheme and I found out that the piece that Celine and Maria Callas sign in La Diva is from the act "Mi chiamano Mimi".

shouldn't the MDA Telethon be happing soon? Last year i think it was on Sept 4th. Does anyone know if Celine will take part in the telethon this year. If so, she can maybe finally be there in person.

 

I know she was there in person a few years back, but it would be so nice for her to show up again since she has the time off.

There is no telethon anymore. It is a 3 hr tv special tonight called Show of Strength. And no Celine is not apart of it.

I don't know if this has been discussed before, but I was just watching 1 fille & 4 types, Tout l'or des Hommes video and I noticed that JJ Goldman is drumming on a People magazine that has Nicole Kidman on the cover... and Celine just beat the hell out of nicole on the V magazine shoots...

I just discovered the song "Je Ne Vous Oublie Pas" -- what a gorgeous song! I've listened to it at least ten times in a row. And what other singer would have a song that is essentially a love song to her fans?

 

I love the way Celine sings it, with such incredible sweetness and sincerity. Particularly the way she sings the word "jamais" in each chorus. (My French is pretty shaky, but I think the chorus line "je ne oublie pas -non, jamais" means "I don't forget you - no, never") -- and Celine sings the "non jamais" in particular with such emotion -- yet differently in the different choruses -- it's incredible!

David Couturier, an aide to Conservative Senator Claude Carignan, just came back from a dream vacation in Las Vegas. A huge fan of Céline Dion, he first met the Quebec chanteuse after a Montreal concert when none other than Prime Minister Stephen Harper introduced them. The power of her song was so strong that Couturier, who has cerebral palsy and can only stand with difficulty, reported standing on his own during the Canadian show. In Vegas, he was back for more, with tickets to two shows. From his front-row seat, he shook hands with his idol and was so close that, as she sang My Heart Will Go On, he was in her spotlight.

The effect she has on people is amazing! :thumbsup2:

You know, that's what happened to me when I heard the song for the first time - on repeat for.. god knows how many times! so much emotion, true feelings.. I don't think anyone could fake the deapth of emotion Celine puts into that song.

 

She really appreciates us, the fans that have been there for her through the good the bad years. And I love her for that.

Maybe "slightly" off-topic BUT thanks to "celine4evauk" I know that it reads ".... Rene-Charles". So I assume RC did this "mummy-make-up" and Celine kept the crayons. I see on ebay no one has bidded on those Make You Happy DAT studio tapes then! Only 20 mins left. Aren't these the ones that were part of the big set of tapes several months ago?? Wonder why they're selling these particular ones?!

Hey guys, last night I read the booktlet of "The color of my love"

and I saw that the song "The color of my love" have more lyrics that Celine didn't sing :blink: :blink: :blink:

 

This is the lirycs:

I remember something like: Céline played a prostiute or someone who gets beaten up by her boyfriend... also a motor accident took place (but that we'd seen on IACBTMN too)

 

I really wish we could see this video one day!! I think it would give a whole new meaning to IWYTNM
