That's right, it's quite hard for me to find the rest of appearances...

There's a list with pictures and a description of each appearance on oprah.com: http://www.oprah.com/oprahshow/Celine-Dion...w-Retrospective

It's a nice retrospective, but some of the "appearances" look like they were just short video clips of her (Like there's one on celebrity weddings in 2000 -- i don't think she was appearing on any talk shows in 2000 - it's probably just clips of her wedding/vow renewal.)

I think the best Oprah appearance was probably the full hour in 1997, when Celine's whole family came on. I still have that episode on VHS tape from when I taped it off TV when it originally aired. (This was before I had the internet, and would find out about Celine on TV when various friends and family members, knowing of my obsession, would call me and tell me she was on, lol).

I also love when Celine surprised Charice . . . I know not everyone loves Charice, but that whole thing was just so sweet (and I thought Charice sang MHWGO beautifully . .differently from Celine, and it sounded gorgeous with just the piano, instead of the pennywhistle we're so used to).

Hi guys.

One dude is a Christina Aguilera's fan, and he told me that Celine says in one interview for a magazine

"Christina Aguilera is the best vocalist in the world" and also said "Even better than me"

It is true?

I remember Celine says that Christina was a great talent with a great voice, in the interview with Tyra Bank in Las Vegas,

nothing more.

Thank you.

I wouldn't think Celine would say that, who knows? But I did find this though: http://www.allvoices.com/contributed-news/...rs-of-the-world

If you look at the Christina Aguilera wikipedia page you can see this in the references section :

Simon Gage (December 2007). "Queen of the World". Gay Times Magazine. "Next day, Celine very much likes the mention of Christina. "Oh, thank you, " she says, beaming. "That's a real compliment. I love her. She's probably the best vocalist in the world"."

However I verified that magazine issue at the library and that comment isn't even there. So basically it was all invented by the Xtina fans.

How Do You Keep The Music Playing? - Celine Opening Night March 15th, March 16th

I've noted that the song "La Religieuse" does not belong to any of Céline's french albums, it was only included in french compilations of her early hits (Les premieres années) and its included in ONCP too, but never in a studio album. To which album this song was written for? Is it a leftover from the Incognito album maybe?

Javier, I believe it was recorded after "Incognito" when they were making European friendly tracks when they decided that the tracks on Incognito wouldn't fare well. I believe in this session she also recorded "Je ne veux pas", "Ma chambre", and "Comment t'aimer."

Davey, I've always hated the AND DVD cover! It's at a horrible angle!

What a coincidence Javito, I've been listening to that song all day! I freakin' love it, specially the live version.

Wow, so that's another album they could re-release adding these songs as bonus tracks! Je ne veux pas even had a single and maxi single in vinyl, and also a videoclip as you know. Ahhh those were the days, when even a non album track got all that promotion! :P

@Davey, yep, its as if they had mirrored the photo from right to left so her face looks... weird -_- (How didn't you notice before, all these years!! :P )

hey guys,

OK, I know I might come off as silly here, but I've never been to Vegas and I dont know a lot od the changes of the new show, but I was wondering; does Celine still have the habit of giving a rose to the audience? or she just passes between rows as seen on Three Boys and a New Show?

Posted
No, she unfortunatly doesn't do that anymore...

Merci Céline pour ces deux soirées inoubliables que j'ai passées à tes côtés. Je ne les oublierais jamais.

J't'adore Céline.

Merci.

Does anyone know if there is a good place to stand, outside Caesars to see Celine drive by? I'm going to see her show in June and i was just wondering if there is any way to see her arriving.

I have seen her in videos, rolling down her window to talk to fans. Does she do that when she arrives to her show in Vegas?

I was also wondering where you would go to pic up your tickets for the show and how early you can get them before the day of the concert? If someone could help me out with some of these questions i would really appreciate it! :)

There's a drive leading to the CP garages at the side of the hotel. This is where she drives in. Usually mid afternoon. Sometimes she stops - but sometimes not.

You normally pick the tickets up on the day of the concert. Don't know if its changed for this show. :-D

This is something I've wondered about for a while now. Celine is pretty much the only living artist that I'm "obsessed" with -- so I don't have anything to compare it to but…

With Celine releasing two new albums this year -- and we still have such little information -- I wonder if that's the case with other huge artists (Madonna, Beyonce, Mariah, Lady Gaga, etc.). For those of you who closely follow other BIG artists, how does the information we get regarding Celine projects compare to them? Does more information pertaining to their projects come out prior to the release/performance?

Hey, friend!

Well, Madonna often relays the news herself. But I think that's because she more involved in her projects since she writes the music. Plus her producers release information before the album. This is the first real time we know NOTHING about Celine's upcoming English LP

Madonna is also a pretty independent woman. Her career is her life, not family/children. Not a bad thing, just different life choices. Céline already feels like she's achieved her dream career-wise and now her number one priority is her children. Madonna will always be fighting for number one. One's not better than the other, although as Céline fans, some of us probably feel one is better.

In my own personal opinion, I think that she sings them. She just has a lot of power behind the notes. Maybe that's why some people think that she's shouting them. :hmm:

I just heard from my friend that Celine has a very special place where she loves to sing and when I heard the answer I was like.. okay..

But it seems like this is something all diehard fans should know. So I wonder which answers you come up with and then I will say what

the answer was my friend gave to me. ( he went to Vegas the lucky bird, a new day show)

Exactly. I guess that for most of the people who doesn't like Celine or her kind of music, saying that she "screams" the high notes is like an insult or something like that. IMO, singing is like talking but following a melody. You use a big amount of air when screaming. And to reach those high notes in a powerful way, you need that same or even more air. The difference is that when you're screaming, it's more likely that if you reach one high note you will not be able to reach it twice. That's why Celine and other singers don't "scream" but "sing" the high notes. They sing them cause they have the ability to reach those high notes every time they want (when healthy of course). Besides, when you "scream" you harm your vocal cords, cause you do it without any control whatsoever. So, in a way, they are "screaming" the high notes, but in a healthy and controlled way. And they sing them cause they're following a melody.

Edit: BTW, if they are screaming, OH MY !!! I'd love to be able to "scream" like that :giggle:

She has 4 children that she loves very much. She separates her family life from her professional life. I admire her for that. She doesn't want her children exposed.Celine's the opposite. We've seen her children grow up.

Who are you to say she doesn't value her children? That's absurd.

Celine glamorizes being a mother. Madonna doesn't. She just does it.

Madonna has 4 kids??? Lourdes and Rocco are the ones I know!

Celine does not "glamorizes" it at all! she is so happy and proud of this role (being a mother) and she shares it with the world, the ups and downs (specially the in vitro drama she went trough) she doesn't "expose" her kids to make a freaking profits out of them! she is not Dina Lohan! she is sharing her love with us.

About Madonna, I couldn't care less...but I rather having Celine as a mom than Madonna! I tell you that!
