URGENT QUESTION REGARDING CANADA!!!

 

 

Hey folks!

 

A friend of mine is going to Canada next week. Does someone know if the DVDs they sell over there are PAL or NTSC. Aaaand more important: Of what Celine-DVD does Canada have a "special edition" - alternate to the European version?

 

And what would be another thing concerning Celine, that can only be bought in Canada??

as far as I know NTSC and only the french (Québec) version of AND...LIL has different footage in comparison with the international edition.

 

also some albums are different; TCOML doesn't have JWA, ANDHC doesn't have SL, but I don't know if you want to buy albums with less tracks!

During her concerts at the Olympia theatre back in 1994, Celine said that Luc Plamondon was inspired by a true story when he wrote the song Le Fils De Superman, can anyone tell me a little bit about that story? After reading the lyrics, you understand it but, does anybody have video, pictures or press articles from that dramatic story?

I've only heard that Luc was in New York and actually saw a boy falling down from a hotel window. The child was in a Superman costume and thought it would make him fly...but lost his life. Anyway, I haven't searched more info about this.

You know guys, I've been thinking about this for a while so, finally, I'm gonna ask a question. I've heard many times that Mariah's 'Emotions' is one of the hardest pop songs ever but I honestly don't know so much about singing. Here on the forum we have some true experts. So what do you think? Is it really that hard? I've wondered... Could someone like Celine do it?

Thanks! As a matter of fact, I think that now Mariah herself could not sing it properly. I actually don't know, maybe her voice is rested these days but we all know what it was like in the recent years.

Yeah, maybe now its rested she could. Who knows. I love the old Mariah, adore her albums up to the Daydream album. Her voice was unbelievable, but don't like the more r&b style Mariah.

Maybe she could still sing Emotions etc, perhaps lowering the key slightly. Your voice tends to lower as you get older. I wish Celine would do this a bit more, lower keys, then she'd be able to sing live more and still sound fantastic. Most people hearing her probably wouldn't even know its in a different key.

 

Can't wait for more news on Celine, her recording, releases etc.

ok, I wasn't sure about where to post this, but here it goes: I've just sent a message to André Coutu asking him if he thinks it would be possible to do a little acoustic concert with Celine and film it for the fans. Well, it's not really a concert, just the two of them playing a few songs (Andre on guitar and Céline on voice of course... haha), and film it on video. It sounds really simple, all they'd have to do would be arrange a meeting, maybe at Celine's home, and do it. Let's wait and see what he tells me.

 

I know some fans will think this is going nowhere... but hey, nothing wrong with trying, right?

Ok this is totally random but I'm watching Des fleurs sur la neige and I'm not french so I dont understand a word apart from, exuse moi, bonjour and other few english related words, but I still get whats going on and it very interesting. The girl who plays the young Élisa is called Sabrina Laflamme. I don't know anything about her though.

 

Btw, I just want to let everyone know that Vito Luprano won't be working with Céline anymore. He's working with a new yong singer called Kristina Maria. In this article that was in La Presse today, it says that since there is this new singer, he promised her that he wouldn't be working with anyone else but her, plus, René agrees that it's better when you only have one artist­. So, all this to say, she'll not be working with Vito Luprano for the next album, for sure. Kristina Maria is also working with Aldo Nova and Billy Steinberg, as well as Kristian Lundin...

YAY!!! Finally some fresh air in her life!! He did an amazing job, but IMO Céline has been working too long with the same people! Let someone else bring new ideas into the studio

She recorded it back in 1997 for Let's Talk About Love, but it was never officially released. I think there was some kind of problems with the writer or the producer of the song. And she is not the only artist whose version of the song doesn't get released, I don't know which problem there is with that song...

By the way, it's one of my favorite songs of hers, and it's obviously not going to be in the new album since it's an old recording. Very hard song to sing, amazing high notes and belts from the second half of the song 'till the end of it.

Look at what I saw in a brazilian fan site; apparently, the fan saw an add in the UK showcasing something that was scheduled to be released on CD, VHS and DVD on January 23, 2001. That "something" was the Millenium Concert. The release date for US and Canada was January 12, 2001. Also take a look at the original idea for the cover of the ATW DVD.

 

This is not fake! Were published by Sony around 1999 and it is also true that the Milenium was schedule to be released in DVD. Then, they decided to not release, due to technical problems during the show (for example; Celine let fall her microphone during one of the songs).
