I was scrolling through a random website and saw this pic of Jennifer Aniston on Wetten Dass show and I was like Celine?! haha The color scheme is similar so it caught me off guard, even though they look nothing alike but I thought it was funny and wanted to share

The photos look very nice side by side, as the colors are similar, and actually, I think Céline and Jennifer look a little alike. Not really, but somehow, there's something similar. Both are very pretty at least.

If you would have the possibility: What would you say to Celine now, as she draws back from public? What would you wish her? Any wonderful memory you would give her?

 

I would thank her, that she came also to Austria on her tour and gave me the opportunity to see her live for the first time - after being her fan for over 20 years! I would thank her for her tears, her laughter and for being so open. I would wish her that her deepest wish would come true - having a second child with Rene. But most of all I would wish her, that she could find the strenght being herself and do the things she really wants to do - without the pressure of the public.

Okay. So this is slightly dumb, but I was wondering what Celine's most vocally amazing/powerful French songs were?

 

Being a new fan of less then a year, and not knowing any French, I've only heard 5 of her French songs (PQTME, LBDB, Vole, LEE, and the one on the Brunei concert). Which of her French songs are comparable to All By Myself, I Surrender, If You Asked Me To, When I Need You, etc, songs that are just, vocally jaw dropping.

 

Also, what languages has she recorded/performed at least 1 song in? Obviously, English and French, and I know she has a few Italian songs and Spanish songs, but any others?

yes..that's correct and she didn't really record "Ammore Annascunnuto" as it's a live track but that's in Neapolitan

This is crazy with the tour just finishing last week but after Celine does whatever shes doing (Vegas) do you think her next tour will be a farewell tour? I shouldn't bring it up but I would have so many ideas for a farewell tour..

She loves to perform, she loves the stage so I like to believe that the next world tour is not her last. Maybe she'll perform in smaller venues (yay) and maybe the next tour is not that long and demanding. Look what happened with Tina, she said years ago that she wouldn't be touring again...ha, but she's still performing and touring!

 

the only thing that would make Celine stop, is losing Rene.

I hope she does what Cher does with the farewell tour...and goes on like 30 of them lol. No, but seriously, when she is ready to stop, and happy about that choice, I'll be sad, but I'll be okay with it. I've actually always had this image in my head that it could be Patrick, cause he's so involved with her career already. So it sort of feels, for the lack of a better word, natural. And the job would still stay in the family. But who knows.

Celine Dion, just the name gives me a rush of excitement, and makes me happy. Does the name do the

same for you?

What a incredible person Celine is and what a huge impact she has had on not only my life,

but also the people that I love the most, and all of her fans lives. What a great wife, daughter, sister, and mother she is to her family. What a great giver Celine is to so many people in trouble, and so many charities. Celine is so great with her fans as well, really appeciating every once of support she recieves. Above all else, is that VOICE, the voice of a angel, blessed by GOD above, given to all of us. I have still never, and will never hear such a beautiful voice. Celine gives me comfort on my worst days, and makes my good days even better.It is awesome to see Celine achieve such incredible star power and chart success over the years! So many awards, so many records broken, and it never gets old. We all love to see Celine get the respect she definately deserves, and yet since around 2002 something seems to have changed in the industry and Celine gets attacted more than ever by the media and her critics, but we know, Celine stays humble as ever, and happier than ever thank GOD!

 

The most memorable moments and most incredible accomplishments that Celine has had over the years that have always excited me alot:

 

 

1982: Celine wins the Yamaha World Music Festival!!

 

1988: Celine is the winner of the Eurovision contest!! This really got fans, and peoples attention around the world!

 

1990: Celine's first English language single, Where Does My Heart Beat Now, is released and hits #2 on the Billboard Hot 100!!

 

1994: Celine hit #1 with The Power of Love and stays there for 4 weeks on the Billboard Hot 100!

 

1996: Celine releases her fourth English CD, Falling Into You, and it's a massive success! The album's first single

hits #1 and stays there for 6 weeks on the Hot 100, and 19 weeks on the Billboard Adult Contempory Chart!! Even more impressive, the album hits #1 on the Billboard 200, and stays in the top 10 for over a year, actually, for a total of 62 weeks! This achievement is still today one of the top 8 albums to stay in the top 10 for that long! It not only sold over 11 million copies alone in America, but has sales of over 32 million worldwide!! That is still the best selling pop album from a female artist ever!(Shania Twain has sold more of Come On Over, but that is

technically considered a country album). Celine performs The Power of the Dream at the opening of the 1996 Olympics, in front of the biggest live audience for a performer still to date!

 

1997: Celine is asked to record the love theme to Titanic, My Heart Will Go On, by James Horner. Celine had become the Biggest Movie song artist of the '90's, having several sucessful movie songs already, and James has stated that if Celine did not record this song, he did not want any other artist, which is awesome! of course Celine accepted and the demo ended up on the Titanic soundtrack, which became the best selling soundtrack ever!, selling over 30 million copies worldwide, including over 11 million in America, also being certified diamond!

Celine of course also released her album Let's Talk About Love which also included My Heart Will Go On, and ended up selling over 31 million copies globally, making Celine one of the only female artists to sell over 30 million copies back to back!

 

1998: Celine's My Heart Will Go On hits #1 for 2 weeks on the Billboard Hot 100, 10 weeks on the adult contempory chart, and Hot 100 airplay, and became THE BIGGEST RADIO HIT EVER IN AMERICA!

The song wins the oscar for the best orginal song, and Celine performs it on the most watched oscars still to date!

Celine also released the Christmas album These Are Special Times. It was already certified triple platinum by the end of the year, and the first single I'm Your Angel hits #1 for 6 weeks on the Hot 100, and 12 on the Billboard Adult Contempory Chart. By December 2008 the album was certified 5X platinum, and was the first album by a female artist to ever have soundscan sales of more than 5 million sold in America, and is still the very best selling Christmas album for any female artist. The album has also sold over 15 million worldwide.

 

1999: Celine releases her first Greatest hits album All The Way... A Decade Of Song, and it sells over 20 million copies around the world! Still, one of the best selling greatest hits albums, and it continues to keep selling in America, and currently has soundscaned over 7.8 million copies by 2009.

 

2001: Celine comes back from her break to sing and record GOD Bless America. She touched the world with the live version she sings for the America: A Tribute To Heroes Telethon. The DVD hits #1 for 6 weeks on the Billboard Music Video chart of the Telethon. The song hits the top 15 on the Billboard Adult Contempory Chart! To me, this is still the greatest single live performance of Celines career.

 

2002: Celine comes back and her album A New Day Has Come debuts at #1 on the Billboard 200, the first album

for her to debut at #1. The single of the same name hits the top 40, peaking in the top 25 on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart, and goes to #1 on the Billboard Adult Contempory Chart, staying there for 21 weeks, a all time record!

 

2003: Celine debuts her new Las Vegas show A New Day and it sells out almost every night for about 5 years, and grosses over 400 million dollars!! It became the biggest show ever in Las Vegas of the past 30 years, and the biggest for any female artist! It was seen by more than 3 million people, including me and my Mom and Dad, and of course we all loved it!

 

2007: Celine released Taking Chances and the album debuted at #3 on the Billboard 200, with over 200,000 copies sold, and at #1 on the Billboard Top Internet Album Chart! That is great for today, but the album should have had much more promotion from Sony, like we all know! The single of the same name is great, and is the biggest debut of the week it debuts on the Hot 100! Celine also released the DVD of A New Day and it becomes the best selling DVD ever in Canada, and hits #1 for 9 weeks in America, selling over 365,000 copies so far!

 

2008: Celine goes on the Taking Chances World Tour, and it just sells out all over! The tour breaks attendance records too, and me and My Mom got to see it in Michigan, and Celine was awesome!

 

Celine is the only female artist to have 3 albums in the top 50 of the soundscan top 200 all time chart, and is one of only two female artists to have 5 in the top 200.

 

There are so many things Celine has achieved over her career, these are just some that really impress me.

What really impresses you that Celine has already achieved?

 

I would love Celine to still act, and also record a new Christmas album, and have many more #1's, and I will just

keep waiting to see what other chances Celine takes or what other suprises Celine has in store for all of us.

The song "Listen To The Magic Man" is Celine's first English language recording, released in 1985. She did it for a Quebec movie soundtrack. The movie was called "Operation beurre de pinottes."

 

The song was also recorded in French, this version being called "Dans la main d'un magicien."
