Although I will miss Celine whilst she takes a break. She really deserves it, she has worked so hard for the past 6 years, that its about time she took some time off for herself and gave her voice and her body time to recover. :shrug:

I hope when she returns her voice isn't nasally like it is at the moment. In 2002 her voice was perfect, and in that year at World Children's Day she sang by far the most powerful high notes in MHWGO, then just about a year into Vegas her voice sounded a bit like she had a peg stuck on her nose (remember BYLM on the AND CD? :blink: ). This video is from the opening night at Vegas. Her voice during the first verse of TPOL is so clear it sounded like it did in the 90s, and therefore the playback transition was smooth as there was no change in the sound of her voice. :yes:

Now, especially on the tour, it's very obvious where the playback starts. I hope Celine can overcome these issues for when she returns. In fact I hope after her break she sings TPOL 100% live, but in a lower key like she used to on TV performances in the early 90s... :thumbsup2:

Yes, but when she returned in 2002 it was only slightly diiferent from the 90s, but a year into Vegas it suddenly turned nasally (it's very obvious in Miracle and A New Day CD, comapred to One Heart). Maybe it was the Vegas air that made her voice sound like that... :confused:

 

Celine never sounded nasally like this in the 90s, so I'm sure it was Vegas... :hmm:

Yes that's a good explanation. Her voice was definately better in the final year!

OOOO! Thanks for that. I looked a bit on google but couldn't find anything. Question: are those tracks like Fever and WAWW the same as the ones in Vegas (like, I've Got The World On A String. Is it the same recording that is on the DVD, or did she sing them separately for the CD on a different day in the studio?) I think it is the latter, am I right?

I got a question.. maybe someone would know,, how does she keep her teeth clean all the time on tour.Does she use whitner/ polish they are all ways clean.

I know exactly what u mean! Ive always noticed this since 2007! Its like she always has them whitened, sometimes they are too white lol she still looks lovley!

Ok I have a baby question.. Does anyone now when she is do for the implant,If I remenber I think somewhere around her b-day. If thats the case what about the JUNOS.its right around that time as well.

Doesn't she have her own dentist traveling with her? I'm sure I read that somewhere.

And I don't think she's going to the Junos, her last public appearance is supposed to be March 1st.

Edit: Yes, she is due to be implanted at the end of March.

Random question...so I guess this is the place for it. I'm trying to listen to more French music to help with my French...anyone know a french station from Quebec/France that plays pop/rock....hopefully that plays some Celine as well. Thanks!

Earlier this tour, during one of the dates a fan came up to Celine during S'il Suffisait D'aimer and Celine held her hand basically the entire way through, from what I remember from the video. Does anyone remember what show that was?

does anyone know anything about celine recording another album (in either french or english? or BOTH would be even better! hehe!) i am dying for another cd!!! :) does anyone have any idea what the plans are now that the tour is coming to a close? or when a new album might be released? i tried to find an existing thread with this topic, but was unsuccessful!

Celine is giving her final public performance on March 1st on the star Academie show and then will be gone for 1.5 to 2 years and come back with a show in vegas, or so it seems as per the rumors going around. So no new albums planned soon unless they release a live CD with the Taking Chances Tour DVD.

ok i have always wondered about how Celine and Rene have been honored by universities in canada... i think rene got something from McGill university and celine got an honorable doctorate from laval university :blink: like do they get a certificate or just an honorable mention type thing or can someone please explain this or give me a link that can help me understand it? :huh:

Anyone notice Celine taps her plane 5 times on the outside before she gets on? Might be old news but I noticed it in the intro video on the sur les plaines dvd.
