Claudette Posted November 30, 2009 at 05:39 PM Posted November 30, 2009 at 05:39 PM It was very sad... but at the same time it made me proud to call myself a Celine fan. I wonder if any of the forum members were there that night? Everytime I watch that clip, I just want to give her a hug... http://i993.photobucket.com/albums/af51/ClaudetteRobinson/esme.jpg
angelil78 Posted November 30, 2009 at 05:46 PM Posted November 30, 2009 at 05:46 PM Glad you liked the pictures weird that we hardly ever see pics of Jean-Pierre. oh so sad that it's been 6 years allready since Adhemar passed away. That also means that soon it will be 6 years since I last saw Céline on stage or on Dec 31st
I Love You Posted November 30, 2009 at 05:55 PM Posted November 30, 2009 at 05:55 PM Its been 6 years since her dad died. She is probbably feeling down.

Her studio albums may flop but it did around 2 million roughly worldwide and not to forget her digital singles sales. The silly AIWFCIY sells even today and it brings her even closer when it comes to combined sales. It's Celine's catalog that's maintaining the distance between their sales. Once it stops, it won't be too long. But we must also consider another fact that the record industry is dying so the line-up will remain Madonna>Celine>Mariah for a very long timeATW/TAST won't stop selling like Madge's Immaculate Collection and that evil X'mas song. + you have the neutralizing effect of Celion's new releases: TCH = EMC2 + TMBEssential Collection = Angel + OD'elles + Complete Best = 1M in sales Nice calculations, Manuel Anyway, does anyone know if Céline's band still gets payed while waiting for her to get back on stage or do they just have to find something else to do while waiting?Celine's band are a band in their own right, they play clubs and bars when they aren't performing with Celine. Nanette Fortier is part of a Celctic band called Killian's Angels and at the minute she's part of the band at the Peepshow production at the Planet Hollywood Casino in Vegas. Photo of Celine's band performing at a bar in Winnipeg: Ooh wow, thanks Tommy Who's the guy who's reaching for the acoustic guitar? It's "my voice" because there is a line in the song that goes, "you were my voice when i couldn't speak." Do you mean the song she wrote for Anne-Marie? Is the original available somewhere? That's from Because You Loved Me. According to For Keeps Celine wrote a song called Drop By Drop for Anne Marie she says its a dark and weird song. "Drop By Drop" is a song that was written by Celine (among quite a few) but she was too afraid to come to light as it was "very dark" according to her. The song that she wrote for Anne-Marie is called "Gonna Love You Forever" in english. The lyrics of the song and "Tout Pres du Bonheur" are not similar at all

Ages since i've watched that.

angelil78 Posted November 30, 2009 at 09:38 PM Posted November 30, 2009 at 09:38 PM ohhh there is a video from the wedding I want to see does anyone have it? She did sing live at the night her father died, like the song What a wonderful world
Tyler1991 Posted November 30, 2009 at 09:38 PM Posted November 30, 2009 at 09:38 PM The greatest thing happened today! In class, we were doing an activity. It was about being able to take notes quickly and understand things at a fast pace.....so our teacher was like, we're going to listen to some songs and you have to write down the lyrics....well the second song was MHWGO and I was like OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOGMOGMGOMGOGMGOMGOGMOGMGOGMGOGMO WHEN IT CAME ON........ A few people knew I was a crazy posessed Celine fan and looked at me and I started to laugh. Of course I was a few words ahead of the song the whole time, lol...
Timster Posted November 30, 2009 at 09:41 PM Posted November 30, 2009 at 09:41 PM She did sing live at the night her father died, like the song What a wonderful world Yeah, well that's always live. I meant like there must have been a huge difference between IACBTMN and BYLM etc, and the vocals in partially lipped songs like I Surrender. she must have felt awful.

Probably more noticable to "real" fans than the general audience. Even my brother (who can't stand Celine) said he doesn't know how the hell she did that show that night. Still makes my eyes fill up when i watch that - even after 2 years of seeing it!

This girl was like, "I can't understand anything she is saying...." and this guy was like wait wait what did she just say, and then I started singing a bit and then quickly stopped when people gave me weird looks, lol. The teacher wasn't playing full songs and was about to change it before the high notes and I yelled and said don't change it, the good part is coming up....and so we listened to the end. lol.
Belle Céline Posted December 1, 2009 at 05:45 AM Posted December 1, 2009 at 05:45 AM (edited) My teachers in high school would have never played Celine, my school based therapist that I went to see at the school after my mom passed did give me the Deux CD. I think it was the Deux CD...I do remember taking The Colour Of My Love in one day during a session and she played it because I distinctly remember listening to 'If you asked me to' while we talked. No idea where she got the Deux CD at but she gave it to me because she knew I liked Celine. I'm pretty sure it was Deux though because she mentioned not understanding it because it was in French. Not that I did either but hey I was happy to have it all the same. My french teacher translated the lyrics to Brahams Lullaby for me, and my prinicpal gave me that Chyrsler magazine she was on the cover of. Belle Céline Posted December 1, 2009 at 05:27 PM Posted December 1, 2009 at 05:27 PM (edited) I just saw a commercial for the grammy nommines announcement for this year and they showed a very brief clip of Celine saying "The grammy nommine's are..." when she was announcing them at the show last year when she sang At Seventeen. I have to ask, am I the only one who found the lyrics really hard to understand in that song when she sang it? I had to look them up a lot before I understood them all. Claudette Posted December 1, 2009 at 05:53 PM Posted December 1, 2009 at 05:53 PM (edited) Yeah, I had to listen to that song a couple of times before I got the whole song... I mean, the theme is obvious, but some of the lyrics are a bit tricky to understand... It is a very sad song... but Celine sang it so beautifully... One of my friends is like obsessed with Celine's version of ''At Seventeen''. She watches that clip over and over... She says that she just can't get over how Celine's voice sounded in that song.
