one of the sadedest things i have ever seen was the concert celine did when he passed away! :(

it was just awful. the audience must of felt terrible too!

It was very sad... :cry: but at the same time it made me proud to call myself a Celine fan. I wonder if any of the forum members were there that night? Everytime I watch that clip, I just want to give her a hug...

oh so sad that it's been 6 years allready since Adhemar passed away.

 

That also means that soon it will be 6 years since I last saw Céline on stage :cry: or on Dec 31st

The difference between them is around 15 million. Her studio albums may flop but it did around 2 million roughly worldwide and not to forget her digital singles sales. The silly AIWFCIY sells even today and it brings her even closer when it comes to combined sales. It's Celine's catalog that's maintaining the distance between their sales. Once it stops, it won't be too long. But we must also consider another fact that the record industry is dying so the line-up will remain Madonna>Celine>Mariah for a very long time

ATW/TAST won't stop selling like Madge's Immaculate Collection and that evil X'mas song. :P

 

+ you have the neutralizing effect of Celion's new releases:

Anyway, does anyone know if Céline's band still gets payed while waiting for her to get back on stage or do they just have to find something else to do while waiting?

Celine's band are a band in their own right, they play clubs and bars when they aren't performing with Celine. Nanette Fortier is part of a Celctic band called Killian's Angels and at the minute she's part of the band at the Peepshow production at the Planet Hollywood Casino in Vegas.

"Drop By Drop" is a song that was written by Celine (among quite a few) but she was too afraid to come to light as it was "very dark" according to her.

 

The song that she wrote for Anne-Marie is called "Gonna Love You Forever" in english. The lyrics of the song and "Tout Pres du Bonheur" are not similar at all :flowers:

I remember seeing the clip of Anne-Marie's wedding and Celine singing - something like "as i carry this child i hope he's just like you" - words similar to that - and both Celine and Anne-Marie crying. :cry: Ages since i've watched that.

Yeah, well that's always live.

 

I meant like there must have been a huge difference between IACBTMN and BYLM etc, and the vocals in partially lipped songs like I Surrender. she must have felt awful.

Probably more noticable to "real" fans than the general audience.

 

Even my brother (who can't stand Celine) said he doesn't know how the hell she did that show that night. :cry: Still makes my eyes fill up when i watch that - even after 2 years of seeing it! :down:

Yes!! This girl was like, "I can't understand anything she is saying...." and this guy was like wait wait what did she just say, and then I started singing a bit and then quickly stopped when people gave me weird looks, lol. The teacher wasn't playing full songs and was about to change it before the high notes and I yelled and said don't change it, the good part is coming up....and so we listened to the end. lol.

My teachers in high school would have never played Celine, my school based therapist that I went to see at the school after my mom passed did give me the Deux CD. I think it was the Deux CD...I do remember taking The Colour Of My Love in one day during a session and she played it because I distinctly remember listening to 'If you asked me to' while we talked. No idea where she got the Deux CD at but she gave it to me because she knew I liked Celine. I'm pretty sure it was Deux though because she mentioned not understanding it because it was in French. Not that I did either but hey I was happy to have it all the same. My french teacher translated the lyrics to Brahams Lullaby for me, and my prinicpal gave me that Chyrsler magazine she was on the cover of. Edited by Belle Céline

I just saw a commercial for the grammy nommines announcement for this year and they showed a very brief clip of Celine :wub: saying "The grammy nommine's are..." when she was announcing them at the show last year when she sang At Seventeen.

 

I have to ask, am I the only one who found the lyrics really hard to understand in that song when she sang it? I had to look them up a lot before I understood them all. :shrug:

Yeah, I had to listen to that song a couple of times before I got the whole song... I mean, the theme is obvious, but some of the lyrics are a bit tricky to understand... It is a very sad song... but Celine sang it so beautifully... One of my friends is like obsessed with Celine's version of ''At Seventeen''. She watches that clip over and over... She says that she just can't get over how Celine's voice sounded in that song. :in_love: Edited by Claudette

Ohhh just received the FRENCH version of A New Day, Live in Las Vegas :clap: and it seems to me that there are a lot more extra stuff on it :clap: and there is english subs! I am extremely happy now!

And I also received Autour Du Monde. I haven't opened it yet, going to do that when I am alone so I can enjoy it :)

Does anyone perhaps know when the English version of her world tour book called "Celine autour du monde" , is going to be released?

Am so looking forward to buying it, cant wait. Hope someone has heard something about the English one.

 

Wouldnt it be an absolute super wonderful Christmas for Celine, if she found out she was pregnant with this recent treatment she had?

We must all pray so hard for our Celine.
