Ohhh just received the FRENCH version of A New Day, Live in Las Vegas :clap: and it seems to me that there are a lot more extra stuff on it :clap: and there is english subs! I am extremely happy now!

And I also received Autour Du Monde. I haven't opened it yet, going to do that when I am alone so I can enjoy it :)

 

Cool, i always love when i get a new celine dvd and watch it on own for fear of any interruption!!enjoy!!! :kicking:

 

Yeah I have to do it alone, I also do it when I get her cd's. I go into my room, lock it and tell people to pretend I'm not home :laugh:

 

I allready have the english version of the DVD but I wanted the french version badly! And omg is it worth it! YES!!

So much better to watch it on DVD than on Youtube (and the videos aren't on Youtube anymore)

 

after months of searching I found it at www.archambault.ca :)

They still had a few copies left in October

Does anyone perhaps know when the English version of her world tour book called "Celine autour du monde" , is going to be released?

Am so looking forward to buying it, cant wait. Hope someone has heard something about the English one.

 

Wouldnt it be an absolute super wonderful Christmas for Celine, if she found out she was pregnant with this recent treatment she had?

We must all pray so hard for our Celine.

Someone mentioned today in the tourbook topic that the English version will be released in January... not sure if it will be world wide though... We will probably still have to order it from Amazon.

Hi all!

 

I was wondering if anybody knew if Celine attended Andrea's concert in Ft. Lauderdale (BankAtlantic Center in Sunrise, FL) on Saturday, 28 November? Celine also performed at the BankAtlantic Center on 30 January while she was on tour. Given that she lives in Palm Beach and since I heard that Andrea had been rehearsing in Palm Beach a few days before the concert, I thought that maybe Celine would attend, make an appearance, and perhaps even perform The Prayer with Andrea!

 

Well I did attend the concert... And let me tell you it was a great concert! Andrea is simply even better live! However Celine never made an appearance and I don't think she was even sitting in the arena as I'm sure the crowds would have acknowledged her presence!

 

Maybe someone knows something?

 

Given that I saw another thread citing a Celine's appearance on Sunday, 29 November at the American Airlines Arena, I find it a bit strange that Celine apparently did not make a "public" appearance at Andrea's concert!

 

At any rate, Andrea's concert was magnificent. If anyone has the chance to go, I highly recommend it!

 

On Saturday's show, David Foster made an appearance as well and played the piano as Andrea performed a few songs, including numbers from his new Christmas album. In addition, Delta Goodrem (Australian singer and songwriter, as well co-writer for Celine's Eyes on Me), also appeared and performed with Andrea two Christmas songs. Delta also performed The Prayer with Andrea as well!

 

I really would love to see Celine and Andrea perform The Prayer live together. Seeing Celine perform The Prayer on tour with Andrea on screen was great, but seeing and hearing Andrea actually sing it live, is entirely another thing! I was hoping Celine would be there to sing it with him!

 

I don't know if this should have been posted on the off topic thread, but I just thought I'd share.

I doubt it. I think she's trying to keep a low profile now.

 

Edit: I just saw the pics of her at the Miami Heat game. Maybe she was there after all. ^_^

I have always liked the movie "Selena" who was a Tex Mex singer who was murdered in the 1990's. She had a gorgeous voice and sang the song Dreaming of You. Anyway, I realized how much Selena and Celine have in common:

 

Selena - youngest child

Celine - same

 

Selena - parents owned a restaurant and the family performed there

Celine - same

 

Selena - released first album at 12 years old

Celine - same

 

Selena - had to learn Spanish/recorded in English and Spanish

Celine - had to learn English/recorded in French and English

 

Selena - family band was called the Dinos

Celine - last name is Dion

 

Selena - quit school before high school

Celine - same

 

Selena - Aries

Celine - Aries

 

Selena - Killed March 31st

Celine - Born March 30th

 

I became very sad when I realized how similiar their lives were. Celine went on to be a huge mega star and Selena never had the chance. If she would have lived I think she would have been just like Celine. How sad. :(

Well, not exactly. Céline didn't graduate from high school but she did do 4 years of high school here and quit when she was 15 years old to pursue her career full time.

I heard about Andrea's concert, and I kind of wonder if Celine went, too! I've read a bunch of reviews, none of them mentioned Celine being there...and I kinda think that if she went backstage Delta would've mentioned it on Twitter or something because she loves Celine and mentions her a lot LOL. Hmm...who knows! I'm seeing her again on Sunday, maybe she'll say something then! (Delta, that is, not Celine.)

 

Which kind of brings me to a question...do any of you feel that seeing Celine in concert changed the way you experience music? I think that's how I feel...it's not so good though. Now, when I see another artist, even if I love their music, I can't help sitting there and thinking, I wish it was Celine I was watching instead... :( I don't know how to make that feeling go away lol.

Haha... I do the same thing... I have this thing where I compare every artist with Celine. My dad is like you can't expect everyone to sing like Celine...

I've been watching my fantastic French AND live in LV DVD and they showed that RC had put written "grand ma's room" on his grandmothers room in Las Vegas and he signed it RC xxx :) I thought that was extremely cute

Well I think it said xxx but it was definetly RC :)

Is there any place other than the site you bought it from to get it at? I have a friend who has friends in Canada, maybe they could pick up a copy if I send them the money for it. It's around what twenty dollars? Maybe a little more? I could send them the money, pay shipping costs, etc and have them send it to me. That way I'd know for sure I was getting the Quebec/French version of the DVD.

Archambault ships to USA so you should have no problem ordering from there :)

I heard that Amazon.fr doesn't have the french version, but I'm not 100% sure

Yes, it's the french version of Live á Las Vegas- A New day

The one with the family life where they are playing WII, different ride in the car back home, different after party, different meet and greet before the show, a tiny bit different Bloobers.

They don't show the ride to the Caesars Palace from their home.

 

I haven't watched the "secret" part so I don't know the difference there and I haven't watched the show or the Backstage part.

Live à Las Vegas - A New Day was the title of the one on Amazon.fr I haven't ordered it yet, I'm waiting to see if I get enough money at Christmas to order it. :xmas_smile:

 

I just need to know what the shipping cost would be, the dvd is already going to be over thirty dollars :xmasblink:

I got a new copy for EUR 4.59 on Amazon.fr. I thought that is not to bad... the damn shipping costs is twice the price of the DVD...

 

Edit: I almost forgot. This one DJ on the radio station that I listen to said today that Celine is probably the only artist in the world that can sing without music and be perfect on pitch and everything...

I could have gone that way as well but since I bought the DVD from CDWow before and got the wrong copy, I decided to go for Archambault and I wrote to them and asked if they could confirm this.

 

When you receive the copy be aware that there should nothing be written in english on the back of the cover. It's all in french.

If it's written in english, then it's not the french copy :)

Yes, I bought it from Amazon.fr. because the website that you posted doesn't ship to South-Africa. The front says Live á Las Vegas, so I assumed that is the French version. I hope it is the righ one... I have to admit the price is what bothers me, because it is waaaay more on other websites

Well I live in SA, which is closer to France than the USA and I payed EUR 8.99 for the shipping (friggen twice the cost of the DVD).
