It's "my voice" because there is a line in the song that goes, "you were my voice when i couldn't speak."

 

Do you mean the song she wrote for Anne-Marie? Is the original available somewhere?

According to For Keeps Celine wrote a song called Drop By Drop for Anne Marie she says its a dark and weird song. :laughing:

 

Haha... I thought that was a bit weird because that lyrics are from BYLM. I assume ''Drop by Drop'' is not the same song she sang at her wedding? To tell you the truth: I have never read For Keeps from the beginning till the end... I have a copy... but I never had the time to read it before... Believe me, it is definitely part of my holiday plans... as soon as I hand that damn thesis in...

I read it and loved it. The day it came in the mail from Amazon I sat on my friends couch for hours reading it cover to cover. I need to get a new copy because over the years since I had it when it came out in what 05? I've lost a few of the keepsakes that came with it. :doh: I have no clue where they went.

 

No drop by drop isn't the same as BYLM, I know she wrote drop by drop for Anne Marie I don't know if she sang it at the wedding or not :shrug: it didn't say she did in the book.

 

Quite a while ago someone asked what Celine was singing in the background of BYLM, and the answer was "my voice" so I think that reply was meant for that topic. Or actually that post might have even been in this topic, but the original question wasn't quoted so the answer seems out of place just turning up on this page.

 

Ah see I misunderstood, because someone asked if the line was from the song she wrote for Anne Marie and the line was from BYLM not drop by drop which was the song she wrote for Anne Marie.

I did not know that... you learn something new everyday... Do you know if that version is available somewhere?

 

It's a very emotional song that expresses all the love and affection Céline has for Anne-Marie. :wub:

 

There used to be parts of it on youtube but I can't find it now. If I do I'll post it here, I guess it has been posted before in the topic about youtube links. Maybe you'll want to look it up on this topic....good luck!! :)

I have an mp3 version of the song Celine sang at AM's wedding if anybody wants it. I found it years ago somewhere and grabbed it up. I love it!

During the recording of his first album in 2005, Dupré asked Céline Dion for permission to cover the song. The mother-in-law accepted it at once and recorded background vocals. Tout près du bonheur is the french title of the song. I don't know if Céline had given it a title when she sang the original version at their wedding. It's true Marc asked Céline if he could do the song in French and so he took the original music composed by Céline and made with someone else new french lyrics that have nothing to do with the original ones. And of course Céline agreed to sing also parts of it with him..and the rest is history.

Does Celine talk in the middle of the one you have too? I downloaded the one Frida posted but I just wondered if it was avaliable without the talking. Is it just a two minute twelve second long song?

 

btw can anyone translate what Celine says in the speech at the start of the song? As well as what Anne Marie says? I believe its Anne Marie talking...Are the english lyrics avaliable anywhere?

Anyway, does anyone know if Céline's band still gets payed while waiting for her to get back on stage or do they just have to find something else to do while waiting?

Celine's band are a band in their own right, they play clubs and bars when they aren't performing with Celine. Nanette Fortier is part of a Celctic band called Killian's Angels and at the minute she's part of the band at the Peepshow production at the Planet Hollywood Casino in Vegas.

Yves Frulla has several projects going on. I saw him perform in Quebec's Telethon last year and in St Jean party in Montreal last june too. He also plays in a band called the Porn Flakes and is also involved in something called The Nick Evans Mowery Project

woah, 4 or 5 children. I only knew they had 3. Just a few months ago someone posted a family photo from a book about René and there they had 3 and Patrick had two

Did she have plans for her to be where she is TODAY.Was this all what celine wanted to do since comming from a musicall family. If I remenber right she started to sing at the age of 3yrs old to 5 yrs old.Is that correct.

Her mom wasn't too sure about Celine being a singer but once she saw how much Celine wanted it, her mom decided to go all the way, have a good song, good manager.. and we know the rest of the story. I wouldn't say she was a stage mom but she supported her daugther in following her dream.

Céline first sang for a public at her brothers Michel wedding when she was 5 and loved it, she wanted to sing more and more songs at the wedding.

Few years later her parent's had a bar/pub where she got to perform

Guys listen to this,

 

well ive been on my first day of work experience at a primary school as i want to be a primary teacher. its been a great day, but i had the biggest shock of my life this afternoon lol. THis afternoon after a class, it was assembely (where the whole school comes together). As i walked doen the corridoor towards to hall, i heard the greatest sound, the voice of our Diva lol i was shocked. they were playing the reason. i thought why are they playing celine dion, of all the people to play when i was there lol, they diddnt even know i love her lol.

 

I walked into the hall to find the whole school listening and singing to the lets talk about love album lol. They listen to it everyday in and out of assembly, and they all sing the songs. i was like omg, they have the best taste in music lol. all of those young kinds are listenign to celine and love her! to see and hear children from 5 years old to 11 year old singing and really enjoying the music of celine really amazed me, i think we may have a new generation of people who will adore our celine :)

 

It was a great end to a great day :) just thought id share my wonderfull celine experience

Ah ok, how old is Anne Marie? Is she close to age with Celine?

 

Oy I totally had a blonde moment, I knw what Anne Marie looks like she's in For Keeps as is Marc. :doh: I didn't pay attention to the caption of the photo with him in it. It's right below the one of Celine and Anne Marie before Anne Marie's wedding.
