Yup! And they remove the echoes. It’s always like that in the movie. The vocals sounds raw and the instrumentals are more present with bass/ sounds warmer than the album version

It was under New Music Friday here in The Netherlands. Not sure if it's different for each country.

 

 

Only because it's under the Hot Tracks section on iTunes and under New Music Friday on Spotify. Neither of which Ashes was ever added to. It'll tumble next week.

So I watched the movie.

 

Its fun it's played in the beginning.

 

BUT it's weird Cher got more mentioned and played than Celine.

Though I understand why they played If I Could Turn Back Time at the end credits.

 

The 3rd endcredits song is just a little bit of the intro of Ashes but just piano. I got hopes it would be the song but unfortunately not.

 

Everyone stays for endcredits here because of little spoilers, so it would have been good to have the full song

I wonder if the film was already more or less made before Celine agreed to record the song etc? Hence the no mention of her in the film. Maybe that’s why Cher gets mentioned, because they’d already picked her song for the soundtrack.

I think the idea of having Celine for an OST is really after the completion of the filming because they just filmed "Ashes" last month (around April 12-13).

 

A movie is supposed to be fully completed months before the release. So Deadpool 2's shooting should have been finished since last year or early this year I think.

I think the idea of having Celine for an OST is really after the completion of the filming because they just filmed "Ashes" last month (around April 12-13).

 

A movie is supposed to be fully completed months before the release. So Deadpool 2's shooting should have been finished since last year or early this year I think.

 

Yeah that’s when the music video was filmed, but I was talking about when the film itself was filmed and when Celine was asked, agreed, and recorded the song.

If she would have had the surgery by then, she would definitely still be in recovery. She hadnt had the surgery when she released her statement prior to the birthday show. My estimate is that she had it shortly after that as a whole month of rest is needed. She would be up doing long video shoots for hours if she was in recovery

She wouldnt have had the surgery on her birthday for obvious reasons it was to be spent with family. So even if she had it on the 1st or 2nd of April, thats only around 10 days recovery after a possibly dangerous surgery.

 

After surgery recovery is key and if you don’t recover properly you could ruin everything and we all know how careful Celine is so imo she definitely had it post Ashes recording.

Like I said, we actually don’t know, just surmising, so each to their own opinion. And yes I’m entitled to mine, and I still think she could do a days filming there. Yes there’s cameras and lights etc, but it’s her stage , she has the whole place at the best temperature for her etc. Anyway...

Since we're all just guessing here.. i think she had the surgery before the shooting of the music video. I mean, the surgery is not really that major. So, she can recover fast from the surgery. For the love of........some of the comments on here. Of course she had her surgery before the shooting of the music video. I'm sure that was done the last week of March when she cancelled shows.

 

Secondly it was 'minimally invasive' surgery. Do some of you know what that means? Then she shot the clip for GMA . She looked fine.

 

She didn't have brain surgery.

 

......On another note, I so wish she was performing at the Billboard Awards tonight. She'd easily be top 10 in iTunes again as she's just about top 20 now. Oh well, the song is doing better than I ever imagined. Can't wait to see what she sounds like sining it live for the first time; probably Tuesday

Well the cancellation was actually announced on March 21, not the 26th. So it's possible it was earlier than you think. She wasn't singing in the MV anyway. I think after 2-3 weeks of recovery, the filming of the MV was very possible.
