Little O/T, but just read this article about the effort to organise Shania Twain's very first show in Brazil (as part of the Barretos Rodeo Festival) and they say it's "another world to them".

 

Coming back to why there hasn't been shows in South America yet (with possible reasons like money, security, health issues mentioned), I think we can add "(a certain method of) production" to that list too...

Hi Well Im so sorry but I do have to disagree. I do speak portuguese and I did read this article and all it describes is what it took to bring Shania to this specific city in Brazil. It's a small city called Barretos , that is known for country music and rodeo. What the article says is that since it is a small city, they had to prepare everything for her arrival. It has nothing to do with security, disease or lack of funds. What it does say is that since they will be expecting a lot of people to come becuse of her, they had to do and change many things.. I do have to say that so many world known artists have come to Brazil , I am sure that Celine would be more than welcomed by everyone.here.

Celine never came to Brazil because no producer wanted to bring her, foolish to say that Brazilians do not have the money to buy their tickets, several bands and singers internacionasi ja vieam to Brazil and their tickets were expensive, people crowded the stadiums to watch them , is not why neither Celine is an expensive artist, the producers have money, do not want to bring it because they think people will not pay to see it, that their shows will flop here that's the great reason it does not have come here yet.

 

Maybe a hit song can touch the minds of the executives and they want to hire you. Hope.

Lol it's a play with words, Dijon is a variety of yellow, so since Katy Perry's dressing room was all in that colour, hence clown Céline said "Céline Dijon"

 

 

 

 

It is different, but like mentioned, everything is speculation and we'll probably never find out the real reasons, it's just particular that a lot of artists skip South America. Yes money has to do a lot with it, but I believe there's also more to it.. I just hope for you that she'll perform there one day.

Mathias, darling, did you read correctly? It´s not speculation. Patrick Angelil himself told us back in 2016 that the only reason Céline has never came to Brazil is because none brazilian producer has hired the show. PATRICK ANGELIL. Do you know him, right?

Lol it's not diseases per sé, you can get there anywhere... but I meant the climate (and air pollution).

 

And yes I know Patrick and yes there have been a number of big artists that have come to Brazil, but that proves my point: if they can pay a Madonna or a U2, then they can most certainly also pay Céline. If the Philippines can pay for Céline, then Brazil and other South American countries can pay for her too. All I'm saying is that there's probably more to it than money (that a Patrick or someone else won't share).

Awww I guess it had to happen eventually, Céline's ability to sing duets with older man

 

I know he's big and the song is an anthem, but personally I'd have preferred if she had dueted with Katy Perry two days ago

 

And yes, wouldn't be surprised if they had met and record the song together as a duet for her next album
