I honestly wouldnt be mad if it was this years tour. It clearly seems to follow the TC tour architype of a docu and a concert. Say what you want about set lists but this show is far more polished and interesting than the others.

 

Better looks,better vocals for the most part and better fan interactions not including that this tour is full of shows that were the first visits to many countries. Shes been to Paris literally (probably) nearly 100 times and to the UK and other European cities shes been there many times too.

 

So i think a tour consisting of such a diverse and first time visit to many places is far more appealing.

 

 

Not to mention that a docu about tour life and BTS would be FAR more interesting in Asia and Oceania and have far more interesting scenes than her being in Paris for the 482827192th time (which we already kind of got with the 2016 tour tv special) or just following her around london for 2 days with not much to do.

 

 

Not to mention that the 2017 tour had mostly the exact same layout as all her other french shows (except JE,TLBSEPT,Letoile and Encore Un Soir) and by the time she got to London the second time, the only unique thing was RTD/LIAWN which we have PLENTY of on YouTube thats 100% UNEDITED.

 

So this tour infact is far more interesting than the previous two.

We agree to say that each tour in the last 3 years have something for everyone! 2016 one was the most creative one, 2017 was the European one with a more wide English repertoire and some surprises too and 2018 is the Asian one with a more predictable setlist, but also a couple of surprises for the fans (Falling Into You, You're The Voice).

 

I guess we won't accept anything less than a box set comprising all 3 tours

The 2017 Tour was so full of surprises : I Drove All Night and My Heart Will Go On both fully live, Le Ballet with Pepe, Refuse To Dance, Love Is All We Need, I'm Alive, The Reason (fully live), That's The Way It Is, acoustic version of Pour Que Tu M'aimes Encore, L'étoile. À vous, the humming before The Power Of Love… Setlist wise the 2018 Tour is more like a repeat of last year but with less exciting costumes and a less exciting setlist.

Well if we break it down to what it truly is at heart

 

 

2016 - The answer to French fans crys. A mostly french set list with plenty of gems and underrated songs with the English hits but not too much English stuff. A truly representative set list of Celines french career

 

2017 - in the beginning UK/English speaking leg of the tour (June 15th - June 25th) the set list was great and had the hits, rare songs and full of bops. A great setlist for english fans. However later on in the tour it all went to sh*t, dropping many of the songs that made the setlist so special with only RTD and LIAWN left. AND GUESS WHAT LEG THEY RECORDED. THE LATER ONE WITHOUT TCOML AND TR !

 

 

2018- The Asian and Australian fans were ecstatic to see her regardless of set list but she made it special with TLYM,YTV,FIY,TR and ANDHC (in any form its an iconic song). This setlist represents the showwoman in Celine and has all the hits with some extra spice. A first time in many countries that made a huge impact

Last Year - Earlier a huge white curtain thing and space boots, later on she kept the blazer for an extended period

 

This Year - A multicoloured party dress with exotic colours, underneath a huge black lower skirt that pulls away for the dress beneath.

 

 

Last year - An amazing bodysuit that they then covered up with a huge binbag thing

 

This year : an elegant black cocktail dress with beautiful accessories

 

 

 

Last year - a plain white tshirt and the same black pants as earlier in the show

 

This year - a fancy space mini dress thats pink and turquoise with sexy shorts on underneath

Sorry, the 2016 special tv has no entire song on it and the French repertoire inclunding songs of 1 filles et 4 types and EUS deserves to be realeased and the beautiful interactions beetween Paris people and Montreal (this acoustic version of PQTMAE and A la plus haute branche for example) needed too as well. Don't forget, Céline have a french career and don't contemp francophones audiences, please

I couldnt forget, it was how her career began. But lets face it, Paris has been spoiled and she has performed there around every 5 years, MULTIPLE times in Paris ALONE. She hadnt even been to Singapore or Thailand before let alone perform there and shes been to Japan (where they filmed) once in the last 10 years, infact shes been there 5 times in her entire career compared to whatever.

 

 

I am not patronising or condemning Parisian or Francophone audiences, but what i am saying is that shes released 3 CDS from that one city and has performed there every decade on an average of 5 times, more than anywhere else, even more than her own country/ city / home, Quebec.

 

Its more appealing and its time a eastern audiencs recieved something special to remember their concert experience by

Celine would have been on this current tour 4 years ago, had Rene not gotten sick again. It was unfortunate, but necessary. She wasn’t slighting them. She was in France, on tour in 2013 to promote “Sans Attendre.” 2016 was a sentimental year. There was more to read into there about why she chose to tour where she did. Of course that’s merely speculation on my part, but not far fetched. She knew she’d eventually get to Asia/Oceania; it would just take some meticulous planning. I don’t think their tour pattern was unfair or meant to be looked at as if any region deserved a visit from Celine more than the other.

In Portugal it is almost a shame to say that we are Celine Dion fans.

But the fact is also that all the experts in music reports that Celine Dion is undeniably an EXTRAORDINARY singer and one of the best and most beatiful voices in the world!

 

That seems to be the only general consensus over Celine. That she is one of the finest vocalists with awesome techniques and controls.

 

Some of my friends have compared her success to that of ABBA and the Beatles saying while they respect her musicianship and talent her MUSIC is not to their taste. This I completely understand. After all, despite having grown up in a household that absolutely loved and played Celine's music very very often, I only grew a liking to her music 20 years later (around 5 years ago), while I was going through a very stressful time and oddly enough her music got me through this long period in a surprisingly smooth way. I'm being very open and honest to say that I was very weirded out by the effect, so much that I bought all the books (biographies and even some academic books studying her as a phenomenon) to try and understand myself a little better. In the end I just resigned to the fact that I like her as a person and also lots and lots of her music. But still to these days only a handful of people know I spent almost $2000 to go see her in concert 2 nights in a row, and that I have all her albums.

 

More than half of our friends are professional musicians, many of whom are pretty well known in Australia and I'm so so chickened of being judged that I just avoid telling anyone that isn't extremely close to me. Gosh this makes me sound so gross (my husband has told me to avoid the criticism and stay true to my feelings). However once I opened up to someone not so close and got grilled so hard I thought I would not want to bother doing it again.

 

So I do believe there are many many many more Celine fans out there, more than you would ever know because they just don't wanna admit it. Yet when she comes around to do a show, people show up and tickets are almost always sold out!

Honey, you just be you. Without apologies. Don’t ever be ashamed to admit who you are, or what interests you! Fûck all of those imbeciles who have the need to judge people based on such trivial traits.

 

I may be coming from a place of advantage, being that I’ve loved Celine since I was 4 years old (I will be 32 in 5 days). I’ve never felt the need to hide it, merely because I grew up with her. However, I’ve never felt the need to hide anything about myself in fear of embarrassment. I dare people to try and embarrass me. It won’t end well for that person.

 

Anyway, just be free. Allow yourself to be you. Educate people, whether it be about Celine or anything else in your life that you feel may be obscure to other people. One of the big problems in this world is that people are so afraid of what they don’t know about. Why is that? Because they choose not to allow themselves to LEARN. It’s up to all of us as individuals to be open and educate each other. If we make an impact on even just ONE person, it’s a success. Don’t ever be sorry to be who you are.

it's clear tahn most french people prefers the french songs, even though she have some great english tracks. Nothing can beat that for me. Je crois toi, live was a dream .
