It would be interesting to know. Actually that video kind of makes me quite sad. I mean fair play, Pepe looks like he's having a great time, she just looks so unhappy in that clip though. It's good that she's out and getting on with life, but she must still mourn the happy settled life she had. And whilst we all talk about her enjoying herself so much and expressing herself etc. let's not forget that there is a difference between hyper and happy. Life is unfortunately not that simple.

Yes I think you're right she has always been hyper, but has controlled it better in the past. And coping mechanism is a good way of describing it. I also think that if you are in her position you probably think that people always expect you to entertain them, you are always expected to be on form. I guess it is one thing that makes entertainers so vulnerable. What goes up must come down.

LOL yeah I'm and introvert and the relief when I'm finally alone is awesome haha.

 

But yeah she's an extrovert. I remember her saying that she is ok to be alone for a few hours but usually she needs people around her all the time.

I’m usually not into this sort of topic when it comes to people I don’t know well. But I do think this quality (being a big extrovert) is pretty crucial in the making of a successful entertainer. My husband is one and has always said had he been more of an extrovert he would have gotten even further in his career. After all you are always with people when your working.

 

I guess what I’m afraid to see is since René is now gone and her kids are growing older, there might come a time when she finally breaks her usual composure and falls into a bit of a mental ditch. However the biggest thing I’ve learned since becoming a mother myself is that you learn to be much stronger to provide stability for your kid(s) no matter what happens in life.

I agree with everything you said. Celine is a strong woman . She is doing exactly what she should be doing, moving on with her life. On the other hand it's so clear that she misses and mourns the life she had. Everything from the way she sings certain songs, to the way that she still talks about Rene and still carries his picture with her. I also have to say that to me its not just missing Rene, its missing the life she lived. Celine always wanted a family. In many interviews she has said that her biggest dream was to be a wife and mom, and she was able to live that dream for so many years. She really enjoyed and was so happy in that role.Now she is 50, a single parent, single again and having to adapt herself to her new reality. That's very hard, especially if you were as happy as she was before. Her kids and her passion for performing will for sure help her to settle into this new moment. But as the song says 'je t'aime encore!

I'm going to express my opinion on this just this once because I feel uncomfortable talking about what someone else might be feeling and making up things that might not be true based on a single video.

It is natural for Celine to still miss Rene and the companionship she had with him. I mean she was with him basically her entire life, she's not single again she's single for the very first time in her life. Rene was her first kiss, her first boyfriend, her first everything. And I think a lot of what we are seeing now is Celine actually living the single life. That's not to say she's looking for a boyfriend, no, because I'm sure she still very much loves and remembers Rene. But (very big but) for all we know she might be open to new relationships if it presented itself because it's been 3 years. I won't say more on this because this isn't the point being discussed.

In terms of Celine grieving, she might not be as distraught as I'm reading some think she still is. Rene was very very sick, his death wasn't sudden, and I think there's a certain comfort that Celine has taken in knowing that he's not in pain anymore. And not just that but, imo, it must have been harder for her to watch him suffering and not be able to do anything for him than it is to live on without him but know he's not suffering. I believe she said something like this in an interview, I'm not sure which, and I think that she has used that mindset to help herself cope and move on (something to which I can relate tbh). In addition, she has her kids, and so many family members and friends that are there for her, her fans, her team, etc. Celine is strong, and I do believe her when she says she's okay because you can just see it in her demeanor (ofc you never know what a person is going through, especially us as fans who have no close relationship with her). Look at her now and watch some of her interviews in 2015/early 2016, she looked very sad and tired, even when she was making jokes.

 

Anyway, I think too much is being read into 2 seconds of a video clip.

i agree and maybe there were some people in the audience that noticed her (fans) and shouted nice things to her and it got her emotional? ( like Celine we love you! or something nice in French)

Ive seen some fans on facebbok and such who seem to have been at nearly all the shows from this tour and other tours /vegas etc ++.....How can these fans afford this? for me I think you would have to be a millionaire and have a very chilled out employer !! lucky them and more power to them, I wish I could go to more concerts and travel the world !!!
