Are there more than one version of this song? I listened to both the YouTube version and the Apple Music/Spotify stream version, but they seem to be the same to me.

I do LOVE when she sings "minutes turns to hours". Especially the second time. It's just AMAZING! :wub: I wish she sang it three times instead of just two during the song.

 

The version is the same, the difference I noticed is the mixing of Celine's voice on the standard soundtrack and the deluxe one...

Because my last comment dissapeared for some reason I'll say it again ;)

Classic Disney and classy Celine! It's everything it should be. Beautiful melody, beautiful voice. I really like it! :)

 

I don't think we're gonna get any pop version of it. It wouldn't work. Video would be nice but I really doubt we're getting one.

 

If the soundtrack and the movie are big success it would be good to release some bombastic pop single from upcoming album on top of that before the summer tour. Just to keep that momentum.

Well, People still praising céline's new song (in any age).. Céline still captures the heart of her listeners. She can still make some people cry - I'm proud with that! haha.. It's really a great year for her.

Colors of the Wind is not so schmaltzy. It's lyrics are rather profound actually.

 

Oh well... Colors Of The Wind was the main single from Pocahontas (with its own pop version) and it's written by Stephen Schwartz who knows how to write songs (Wicked!!!). I think that How Does A Moment Last Forever is at first a musical songs sung during the movie and then a proper pops song not even meant to be part of a Celine Dion album (i suppose, but I could be wrong).

Ok have been listening to the song all day on Spotify (it has 3217 plays, no not all for me but close ^_^ ) and I really like the song and no it didn't need 3217 plays for me to really like it.

 

But I really love all the positive review Céline has been getting. That's the best :wub:

I think the accent on music is purposeful because of the characters up to the story.

On the way she utters a few words in her songs she only does what the producers ask her to do, in the behind the scenes videos to see them asking her to sing a way they want.

I hear no 'accent'- I just hear Céline, the way she should be, singing powerfully and strong. The way she pronounces words in her way makes it a Céline song, and it warms my cockles.

At the moment, said EP would only have three songs: "The Show Must Go On," "Recovering" and "How Does A Moment Last Forever." Unless she were to add "Hymn"/"L'hymne" to the setlist (doubtful), I don't see how how a 3-track EP/sampler would be better than adding the songs as bonus tracks to a deluxe edition of the upcoming English album. I suppose she could go into the studio and record studio versions of "Purple Rain" and "Kiss." That would bump the EP up to five songs (six/seven if she includes "Hymn"/"L'hymne"). Are there other studio recordings which would make logical sense being added to an EP I'm forgetting?

I don't want TSMGO anywhere near an album. Maybe on a Bsides & Rarities compilation. The production is just not worthy of any inclusion on a Céline Dion album. It should remain a one-off buzz single.

Oh no! you guys :S you'll hate me but...

Although her vocales are beautiful, her strong accent makes me cringe...

Its all i think of when i listen to it :/

 

If she can sing a song like THLAL without a hint of an accent... it should never be an issue.

Yes she has her usual accent half nasal half from her french quebec origines but we can perfectly hear & understand the lyrics! Celine has still her own magic like she did for her Beauty & the beast & my heart will go on! Kudos!!!!!

I honestly don't think they will release a music video for this song. I hope I'm wrong.

I really am so chuffed at all the media praise Céline now gets. 10 years ago Céline Dion was translation for Eye Roll/Yawn and now it's the opposite- she really has become an icon. It's so sad Rene isn't here to witness it all because I think this will grow and grow
