Yes you are making me feel underwhelmed! Listen to it again... how are you missing what is amazing about this song? Are you listening to it on a bad devise..?.really confused...?...

Kev x

I never listen to Céline on a crap device. Ever. It's simply a matter of taste. I've listed several times. Not getting it. Fingers crossed it awakens me at some point. Right now it's dull and boring to me.

Love the song!!!

I love how she first says "how" at the very start really trying to pronounce the "h" like she joked about during the live in Memphis video talking about learning English and having problems saying "h".... cute lol.

Favourite part is in the middle how she sings "goooooone".

It's beautiful and amazing!!!

Love to hear this, this summer live!

Thank god she doesnt start the "How" like she start it in How Do You Keep The Music Playing which I actually hate how she pronounce it.

It's interesting -- there's a lot that I love about this song - the melody, the emotion in Celine's voice, the classic sound of it, the gorgeous, rich sound in some of the lower notes (like the last word in "how can a story never die"); the sweetness in her voice when she says "not so sweet."

I want to love it completely and wholeheartedly . . but the only thing is that I do find her pronunciation sort of distracting. I actually found the words pretty hard to understand in many places until I saw the lyrics. It's hard to pinpoint -- something about the transitions between words, the pronunciation of the "th's" and even the "t's" . . I don't know. Often in her English songs, I hardly hear an accent at all, or hear it very subtly (even in the very early stuff. There is virtually no accent in WDMHBMN. If you didn't know, I don't think you'd guess that WDMHBN was sung by a non-native English speaker. In this song I hear the accent right away).

The other thing is that the lyrics just can't compare with some of her French work. "Love is beauty, love is pure" . . that's the kind of cliched silliness that makes critics give her bad reviews. But other parts of the lyrics are touching, and it is a Disney song, after all . . .mostly I love it!!

Yes i heard that too. Esspecially towards the end.

like you say , it is a Disney song, so some cliché are acceptable. Thanks for the answer. Even me can hear the difference but the only thing is , even in french sometimes it is not perfect. But encore un soir is better than Sans attendre. A matter of production where maybe the producer is too impressed by her to say what must be said. Because i,m sure that Celine wants to do the best she can.

Unfortunately, that's Disney's brand... cliche and universal overarching themes, motherhood statements and all. Don't expect Disney to cough up deep and profound lyrics because we have to be reminded, Disney afterall still caters primarily to kids. What matters more here is the song came out good, was well-produced and contained Celine's classic/signature style...

It's weird that in the standard version of this song.. The instrumentals has more bass and the volume is in level with céline's voice while the deluxe version the instrumentals has less bass and the volume is a bit quieter. Compare it! Even for the preview you can hear the difference. Or is it just me?

Do you guys know if the album is available on Spotify? It's already march 10th here and I don't see it

I'm in love with this song :wub2: I so hope she adds this to Vegas and the tour. There's just something magical about this song. It doesn't sound cheesy like a lot of movie songs, it sounds really amazing and timeless, and her voice is amazing. To be honest, I was worried this would be raspy because of the last tour and that her voice is almost back to it's normal state but not totally. But it's so pure and amazing. It would be so amazing live because of all the little melismas :wub2:

I pre ordered the Deluxe Version and I don't want to listen to it in high quality until my CD arrives. If you could please tell me, is Celine's actual vocal quieter or is it just the bass that is quieter then the original version?

It won't bother me if the instruments in the background sound different or louder, but is Celine's voice altered in any way, compared to the Standard Version? I'm hoping that isn't the case. I'm hoping that her voice itself in the same volume and quality in both songs.

Colors of the Wind is not so schmaltzy. It's lyrics are rather profound actually.

i already returned céline's song in the deluxe version.. then, i purchased the song again in Standard Version - the instrumentals have more bass and the volume has the same level with céline's voice.

Beautiful. Celine does it again. So my favorite part is the last chorus and the song lives on... with melisma..... on the last part. This time I LOVE the fact that Celine sang it without EATING the words!!! I don't care about CELINE's accent in any song I can listen to it anytime as long as she doesn't EAT the lyrics or gargle eat or chew it. Beautiful. This is the vocals I'm used to hearing from Celine and she is untouchable when it comes to this. NO OVERSINGING, NO DODGING OF NOTES, JUst great vocals and hear-felt singing.

This is what me and my mom said. I mean it's fine for us who will know the lyrics but people who hear it at the theater for the first time probably won't understand much of the lyrics due to the heavy accent. Besides that the song is absolutely fantastic

Glad people loved it! This is just really magical. Can't wait people to hear it on theaters
