I absolutely LOVE both "Dans un autre monde" and "Terre." HOWEVER, I would be more than happy if songs such as "A cause," "Cherche encore," "Piaf chanterait du rock," "Je ne veux pas," "Je lui dirai," "Les jours comme ca" and "L'etoile" took their place.

yes. Replace those songs by now with those you mentioned.

It is a big encore for the fans who are there in the moment, most of whom are most likely not like you and in fact love the song, as "tired" as it may be.

They can make great concert openers, too. The beginning of "Pour que tu m'aimes encore" could really get the crowd going. It has a pretty iconic sound for the Francophone mainstream music scene. Then, she could easily segue into something just as beloved like "Destin," for example.

My arguments are mostly with people who are bítching and complaining about 98% of everything that Celine does, instead of trying to find some semblance of a silver lining. And I would say my ratio is about 60/40. And actually, getting stuffed is one of my favorite things to do! Thanks for the encouragement!!!

PQTME is life. It's so much more than MHWGO. That being said if you don't understand French I do understand why you might see MHWGO as more magical.

I find the contested views on songs very interesting. Even when we are discussing classic songs such as PQTME. IMO the place of each song in the set-list, along with its live arrangements, can help fans rediscover Celine's material. I think that PQTME sang at an early stage of the concerts last year was fascinating! It kept the crowd the going without being a show-stopper. In a way, Celine showed us that there is a variety of amazing songs in her catalogue and that focus should be placed upon these songs... for a change!

 

Similarly, I feel PQTME could work as an openner this year. How great would it be to have Celine offer the audience its most beloved song before going on to sing other hits, rare songs, and her recent French album?! I am all up for such changes! I find them invigorating!

Same tune, sure, but lyrically they're miles apart. The English version doesn't come anywhere close to the French.

And it doesn't have to be like that. all the songs from Delles are so underexposed. anything from that album would be a welcome change to the usual PQTME. I'm so sick of it. it's like she's braying through the songs and just going through the motions Uggg...
