browseceline Posted June 28, 2017 at 12:37 PM Posted June 28, 2017 at 12:37 PM Wish I had the confidence to do that! I went to Celine 4 times now. 3 of them on my own. Well technically then..my mum went to Antwerp with me in 2013 but could not get a ticket in my block. So i was one side of the stadium and my mum on the other side;) Verstuurd vanaf mijn SM-G901F met Tapatalk 1 Quote <iframe width="640" height="390" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/hl2XkxnYljg" frameborder="0" allow="autoplay; encrypted-media" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Sazeliza Posted June 28, 2017 at 12:54 PM Posted June 28, 2017 at 12:54 PM (edited) Sadly I even thought it was best to keep it a secret that I went. Comments from my family last night reminded me why I did the crazy thing is I do think that if my dad went he actually would have appreciated how good she is. Maybe I'm wrong though 😂 She is part of the reason why I started to love French, and therefore carried it on to degree level! I wish there was at least someone in my life who likes her. I think everyone just thinks of My Heart Will Go On and don't realise she has other songs which are in fact not all alike. Edited June 28, 2017 at 01:03 PM by Sazeliza 1 Quote
celine4evauk Posted June 28, 2017 at 01:00 PM Posted June 28, 2017 at 01:00 PM But surely if you want to see her badly enough then you don't care about that stuff? You don't need confidence to do it - you just go to the show. Well that's the way I see it. You're there just to marvel at her voice, it's not like, say, going to a Rihanna show by yourself. The thought of going to see any other artist or band by myself definitely doesn't appeal, but it's totally different with Celine for me. I mean I don't know if people think everyone's going to be staring at them or something, but nobody batted an eyelid in my case. Nobody I know even remotely likes her, never mind would pay to see her in concert. And when you want to do something badly enough...? It's not like you're going to see those people again and you'll be able to experience the show which is a dream come true!! Also, if I had gone with someone, there's no way I would have stood on a chair during the final encore to see her up close where she actually saw me too. Nor would I have chatted to the guy next to me who had some great stories and was so nice. Sorry but I disagree a bit lol. Yeah people can care about it, I certainly do. I have never gone to a show on my own, would never get on a plane etc on my own, so yes I miss out on a lot sometimes. It's not about being at a concert on my own, it's the travelling and not having someone to chat to on the train etc or before the show starts. If you're shy/ lack confidence you find it hard to speak to people you don't know. I have a lot of admiration for you guys who do go to things on your own 😀 6 Quote

Popular Post Javito Posted June 28, 2017 at 01:39 PM Popular Post Posted June 28, 2017 at 01:39 PM I flown all the way from Spain to London on my own, attended the first show on my own and everything was perfectly fine because then I met some other great fans along the way. I even had some nice chat with a woman on my way back home in the tube after the second show and she was the most lovely lady with her reactions to my all-the-way trip from Spain just to see Céline. She was as impressed as amused about it lol If you can't find more fans to join you from the moment you leave your doorstep, is that going to stop you fulfilling your dreams? There's nothing to be ashamed about 😊😉 8 Quote "Hush, now... I see a light in the sky"

Popular Post isabel leite Posted June 28, 2017 at 02:10 PM Popular Post Posted June 28, 2017 at 02:10 PM Just a thought. I have been reading a few of the comments above, and I would like to share some of my thoughts. I am a huge Celine fan, otherwise I wouldn`t be posting on this forum. She is by far my favorite singer. My playlists are made up of 90 percent Celine repetoire.( in French and English) I do have to say though, that I am a much bigger fan of the woman than of the artist. Ever since I can remember Celine has done her own thing and has never been ashamed of her choices. She never cared about critics, media and what other people would think. If you consider and think about her life you can see that she always had the courage to do what she believed in. She has always been proud of her family, not exactly a rich and prominent family. She fell in love and married a man that was the opposite of the young prince charming stereotype. People criticized her marriage, and she, as an answer, was married and happy for 21 years. Now in this new phase of her life, she is once again courageous. She is first of all taking care of her kids, going ahead with her career and having fun wearing the clothes she wants. What I mean by all this is , people follow Celine`s lead, if you want to go to a concert alone, do it, if you want to wear different clothes, do it. Believe in yourself and follow your dreams. I am sure Celine would! 11 Quote

smash Posted June 28, 2017 at 02:52 PM Posted June 28, 2017 at 02:52 PM But why the change? Before Rene's death from what I can recall we got almost all her tours. Whether it was on tv special or dvd release. Why can't they do the same now and just do it digitally. I just can't see why it's that hard. How can they say no one wants it. Even if it her last show didn't sell well on dvd it is clear that there is still demand for Celine especially now so who's to say a digital release or even bonus on a cd re-release or damn even just stream it would be a bad thing. Her streaming the first show back in Vegas sure did well numbers wise from what I remember. If I'm correct so did the Paris show. So I can't see what would be so bad in that. I've seen many artists stream their show on facebook or youtube and then put it up on demand afterwards. It won't cost them as much as a physical release and it will keep the fans happy. I seriously can't see why...I don't get her team sometimes For me personally I still believe the least we can do is just try and if it doesn't work atleast we can always say we did everything we could. Otherwise we will always wonder. Just like we regretted not trying last year. That's just my opinion though. Absolutely nothing wrong with hoping and dreaming, i also hope we will get a DVD sometime. I will never ever be able to go and see Celine at any of her concerts, i am too far away, so i am dying to get some sort of DVD of her .A lot of people will say it won't happen, and it most probably won't, but still, let's hope, dream and pray that someone might read on here how much we are longing for a DVD. Maybe as a Beautiful Christmas present We all have our own opinions and hopes  We are entitled to that Love Sharon 3 Quote
CelinesDIVO5 Posted June 28, 2017 at 03:24 PM Posted June 28, 2017 at 03:24 PM never beard of a concert being fully sold out. Theres always some single seats here and there because someone would never go to a concert by themselves. I went to Madison Sq. Garden for the TCWT and sat by myself. Probably one of the best concert experiences I had. 3 Quote https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PL54qnRGM2gMatthew Charles - "Fix You" - Live at The Stonewall InnStonewall Sensation - Season 15Originally written and performed by Coldplay
CelinesDIVO5 Posted June 28, 2017 at 03:25 PM Posted June 28, 2017 at 03:25 PM it will never happen so we must face reality and hatd facts and stop wishing and hoping. It never got us anywhere and if Celine really cared about her fans she would do it like Madonna putting out a digital release of summer tour. You have to face reality and hard facts. "If Celine really cared about her fans..." Are you kidding me with this? Over a DVD? 4 Quote https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PL54qnRGM2gMatthew Charles - "Fix You" - Live at The Stonewall InnStonewall Sensation - Season 15Originally written and performed by Coldplay
brandon_vincent Posted June 28, 2017 at 04:02 PM Posted June 28, 2017 at 04:02 PM I've been saying this for a LONG TIME about the dvd WE CAN make it happen but we need enough people and we need to send it to the RIGHT people. I know there are people here with connections. We are all fans we all want common things we should be able to work together and make it happen because I promise you if we keep our mouths shut this will continue to happen. It will happen now and with Vegas and with future tours. SO it's time for us to do SOMETHING. I even tried my best during my meet and greet because I knew how many people WANTED it. A recording of any kind is long overdue! After all we are the people who buy the cds go to the shows and buy the dvds we have to show them there is interest in a recording. If Rene was alive, we would have had a DVD for the last tour because every live show Celine has done that's a tour, there has been a DVD!! I'm frustrated with that comment that guy made about who buys DVD's!! Um ME!!! I go to my local record store all the time and buy Celine CD's and DVD's!! Come on is her new team just lazy or do they not care about us!! It's definitely not Celine's fault at all!! I even told the guy in Vegas who recorded the A New Day DVD to do a DVD/CD for this tour and I'm frustrated they haven't. I would love to have a CD for this tour at least! I hope they do something like the Une Seule Fois DVD!! 3 Quote
nowanorris Posted June 28, 2017 at 04:05 PM Posted June 28, 2017 at 04:05 PM I've seen her All By Myself many times in Vegas! Same here! Vegas has become a perfect way for me to see Celine. My husband and I started dating in 1996 and let me tell you, I have had to drag him to more Celine events than he can count. Celine's Falling Into You Tour was one of our first dates. HAHAHA He knew when he met me that I was a Celine fan (posters all over my bedroom walls) and even used it to his advantage to charm me being that he had taken 5 years of French in high school and would sit and show off by translating her songs. lol At this point, I think he's had enough of Celine. We love taking trips to Vegas, but now I go to the Vegas show "All By Myself" as well, while he goes off to the poker room. We can afford and find much better seats when I go solo and quite honestly, I have learned to LOVE the experience. I'm very much an introvert and shy person. I'm not one to stand or sing and jump around at concerts...but when I'm there by myself, my extrovert personality comes out and I just live it up and soak up every second of the show which includes dancing and singing in the mosh pit at the end. I do understand those who have talked about traveling by themselves...I don't think I could do that myself...yet anyway. Every time I see her in Vegas, there are others down in the orchestra section seeing the show by themselves too. There are sometimes I wish I had a friend who was a true Celine die hard fan like myself, but I'm very much a loner type personality - going solo really doesn't bug me much. <3 4 Quote
CelinesDIVO5 Posted June 28, 2017 at 04:05 PM Posted June 28, 2017 at 04:05 PM Regarding the DVD, while yes, there are many of us who would buy it. However, it's expensive to produce. Filming, editing, production costs. It costs a lot of money. If they're not going to at the very least, make back what they paid to create it, it's a smart business move to not make a DVD. It's coming from a business perspective, not a lack of caring for the fans. 6 Quote https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PL54qnRGM2gMatthew Charles - "Fix You" - Live at The Stonewall InnStonewall Sensation - Season 15Originally written and performed by Coldplay

It's coming from a business perspective, not a lack of caring for the fans.but they generate over 30 MILLION with this tour, so in comparison, the production costs for a DVD are so low that they are not even worth mentioning. And if they were smart, they would release the 2016 French Tour this summer and sell it at the current concerts instead of T-shirts for 30€. With 25000 fans at each concert, they would definitely cover the production costs and even make very decent profit, plus all the people who would purchase online and at stores. Fans will buy her DVDs anyway. Edited June 28, 2017 at 04:40 PM by ryba 3 Quote
