There is a vast difference between supporting a singer, but not supporting every choice they make, to that of flat out not supporting a singer at all. Again, a person shouldn't have to just lap up everything a singer pumps out in order to be called a "fan" or a "true fan".

 

Nobody said that we should "lap up" everything she does. However, you complain about her, more than you praise her. So, why do you waste your time and energy on her? You come off more as a troll, than you do a fan.

The reason why I haven't returned to Vegas is because of in my opinion the same old boring setlist.

 

Last year in Paris the setlist was incredible and as far as I'm aware didn't change during the tour.

 

The first night of this tour she blew us all away with the setlist and her rare/old songs.

 

Then last night we'll it may have been a slightly updated version of the Vegas setlist, that's why I'm angry.

It would have been different had she started the first night of the tour with last nights setlist... but that was not the case at all.

 

So dissapointed... those rare songs got me interested in her in the first place but she'd rather not cut covers or that s*** ear bleeding song lcmm?!?

You seem very stressed about this! I think you need to somehow see things in a positive way. Last year Ziggy was exclusively performed in Europe, while ALPHB was introduced in Canada. JNPBD was performed in a concert in Canada as well. Furthermore, back in 2013, it was a spot-decision to sing LMBTL live during the USF concert. My point is that we are probably up for some small surprises. Just focus on this and keep in mind that this is the start of this tour and they are probably still checking things, like how the songs work on stage, how Celine feels performing them in front of an audience, how the crowd reacts to them and so on.

I think she tried to do an "anti tour" with songs only hardcore fans know (Misled, THLAL etc) maybe her team didn't get the people's response during the concert they were expecting? I don't know, as far as I can see, they are turning into the safe side again...hopefully im wrong, but I would hate to see it as an extention of her Vegas gig.

I don't think that problem is in public reaction.I've noticed or it seems to be like a Celine hasn't fun with the medley....Just my feeling,she could say,comon stand up and dance with us,but she didn't......Maybe if songs would be more uptempo,faster,I don't know

As if this would be the first time you were to complain about a set list, or performance. This has been a constant from you since I have joined this forum. Don't pretend that you have some newfound disappointment. You are HABITUALLY complaining about Celine's career. "WAAAAHHHHHH!!! I understand that we always enjoy her performances of un-performed deep cuts, but it's kind of funny to read all this tragic posts and all the questioning of her artistry as if it were the end of the world mainly because she left out of one show a couple of songs that no one outside this forum cares about. And forgive me for this sin, but Misled and THLAL are quite in the album filler category in my book. I understand people in the audience getting bored with LIAWN, it always sounded to me like a Michael Jackson stile mediocre album track. Guys I'm one fan who finds every Celine song unique and fun in its own way! I still listen to Love Can Move Mountains all the time and I find it fun! Enough of the expectations crap! Everyone on the forum is sick of it!! Celine fans never hate her music!! Unless you are a secret Mariah fan spying on us then leave! Now as of Misled & Treat Her Like A Lady being removed, I'm a little sad but not mad! I think she's doing so awesome go Celine!! ARE YOU FÜCKÏNG KIDDING ME ABOUT "MY LOVE"?!?!? DID YOU EVEN COMPREHEND WHAT WAS HAPPENING WHILE WATCHING THE DAMNED "MAKING OF" THE RECORDING?!?!? How much that song MEANS to her is how that song was a "picotal moment" of her last tour. It was a song that told BOTH sides of her professional relationship with Rene, mixing with their personal. To be so ignorant to that is EXTREMELY selfish, and I'm VERY sorry you spent your money to travel and see her on this tour.

I'm absolutely aware of what that song was about, and still, that doesn't take any less truth of what I already said and I state again: the song already had its moment 9 years ago (NINE!) and the same she pushes to sing certain songs she is attached with, the same she could do with many others that are in her discography and yet she has never performed them, before including one more Queen cover for example (which makes 2 Queen songs in this tour already). Because if those songs in her albums are there, it's for a reason, and it's because at some point they meant something for her. Yet we're still waiting and craving to see many of those songs to be performed one day. Can't you realise that any cover she decides to sing, it's one less song of her that she won't perform?

 

So as far as it's a sacrilege for you to question the inclusion/exclusión of this song, I don't mind the least that she cut it . Time to move on and give the chance to many other gems she has.

It's not the end of the world for me that she removed those songs.

I won't miss them, but I would have loved to see and experience THLAL and Misled live on tour.

 

I hope she won't cut RTD, THAT is a song I'm dying to see live, can't wait!

 

It's hard to please everyone.

I LOVE LCMM/RDMH every single time, unlike most here.

But I agree, considering how long those songs are part of her setlist, if there needs to be cuts, than it should be those songs.

 

But who knows why she keeps them, maybe she loves them haha

 

Either way, I'm gonna enjoy it to the max, and can't wait for the french setlist as well.

I've read every post of this thread while I was watching the concert last night and till now, and I've seen way much more people disappointed with the cut of songs than those who were fine (if any), and those who feel fine about that just comment about the good condition of her voice, without references to singing this or that song.

 

There have been countless of posts on real time showing disappointment yesterday because of the cut of 4 songs, and I'm totally okay with that, because that's why we gather here on a Saturday evening, to comment live a show and share our thoughts. It's still beyond amazing that some people can't deal with that.

 

Will there ever be the time in which we can agree to disagree in this forum, as long as it's done with respect?

 

But what saddens me the most is that everything is going fine, everything is politely said and with respect, until the same people pop up to make all the mood explode.

 

It never ceases to amaze me how the same 1/2 people in this forum always show up to fuel the fire and start attacking others, even to the personal level, just because they don't agree with this or that person said, even if it's just an opinion and all said with due respect.

 

Criticising a member because of his hobbies or what he likes/dislikes to do in his own free time to sustain his own bitter disagreement against his opinion, that must be the ultimate sample of poignancy behind a screen.

 

And as for personal allusions, again, even if you have been asked countless times by the mods to stop quoting me, then alluding me, it's freaking incredible you can never stop it, Luke.

 

I wish you could put an end to that obsession of yours with me someday, because even if you don't quote me, you just have to mention me all the time, repeatedly, to make clear your own battle and bitterness, in the end, is against someone, as if it was something personal. I'm not even going to reply back with the Vegas thing, because even if the word VEGAS is going to show up in every show and fans are going to compare both worlds, you like it or not, in the end it's you who decide to be blind with it, and even when an overwhelming majority of fans here are commenting on their own will how blatantly obvious is the difference between a Vegas concert and a tour concert, it's you who decide remain blind again, and see it as if it was my personal view. Well I'm glad to inform you that most of the fans in this forum apparently see it this same way. They're glad when she says she's not going to be locked up in Vegas for the rest of her career, too. Accept it. Most fans are fed up with Vegas, You too are, even if it will be the last thing you will admit on this forum.

 

And when Celine decides to include 6 new songs while on tour -something she never does in Vegas-, but she cuts 2 of them overnight, yes, fans can be disappointed, and they have their right to do so. Especially if those songs are originals of her catalogue and not the covers. Especially when after 10+ years of residence in Vegas, she has never made a setlist change to include 6 new songs (if only, she adds just one new song, and that's a triumph to see). You should accept that criticism too, because behind that criticism and disappointment, there has been excitement before

 

Everyone in this forum is happy to see Celine out of Vegas and enjoying herself in a way that much of us don't see her enjoy in Vegas. I would suggest you appreciate this quality too, and enjoy the tour, because it IS a different Celine, she shows a wild side of her that we barely see in Vegas, and even her voice is better when she's on the road. Enjoy the tour, Luke. You too.

Amazing experience last night! She proved me again why she is the best performer in the world and how much she enjoys being on stage. I find the discussion about the setlist pointless, once you are there you enjoy so much that you don't even realized if a song has been cut (I would have loved listen to Misled though). And you can clearly see who the true fans are when you see people singing to LIAWN or RTD (not many actually haha). The highlight for me was Think Twice, I was also surprised how well the people reacted to PQTME. Great setlist, great outfits and great voice (I think all but 3 songs were live!). The only "negative" comment is that Celine spends too much time on the left side of the stage and I was on the right. Now I'm just sad it is all over

I mean right from the start we knew it was a dress change moment... so there really was someone who thought she was changing dress and sing at the same time?

 

I just can't believe there are 10 pages of comments about 4 songs cut (without even knowing if they will be back or not). So much moaning ( and God knows I do moan a lot about Céline) but this time is pure drama putting the essential points in the background

 

While I could write a thesis about just one song. So some positivity now

 

She always gets me with her finals ...How on earth does she do to be so perfect? The holy trinity to me...

 

It started with "What a wonderful world"...

It went on with " Somewhere over the rainbow", another level up ...

And now " love of my life".

 

Just some guitar notes, standing in the middle of the crowd. This time, it is completely another level. So much innocence, seriousness, rawness, purety, fragility and strength in 2 minutes. OMG. There are bits of vintage and rock vibes as well.

 

It's pure perfection, even in its imperfections.

 

Queen doesn't even end with a word, just a note ...and what a note! Semi acapella , powerful and slowly fading away.

 

This performance is all what Céline is now and shows her growth, artically, vocally and personally along with the emotions she carries.

 

She just stops time.

 

I would pay just to hear only that song and can't believe people are complaining because she cut "I'm your angel" or "Treat her like a lady" ( which was a cover anyway), just like they were masterpieces.LOL big times. A good cover is better than any of one of her own so-so songs. And fact is she made "Love of my life" hers from the very first time she sang it. Period.

 

I do miss "My love" or " Misled" though.

 

And needless to say, I'm over the moon how she has managed to nail all the songs vocally speaking after the hard last months. So pro.

And on a side note, she sings back the end of RDMH ( full "long" note)

There has something to be said about critics too: critics will always make more noise than praising, it always has been like that, and it will. And those who can't deal with that, they should stay away of forums whose purpose is, per se, sharing opinions and commenting. The good and the bad ones too. So if someone likes the condition of her voice, which is top shape, say it. If you like the dress changes last night are in love with her image, share it. And if someone is disappointed because she cut his/her favourite song, say it too. What's the problem? Happens to be that dozens and dozens of fans were disappointed last night with that decision. So? Deal with it. That's what happens when you remove songs and don't replace them with others.

 

Also, I'm not a spokesperson of Vegas and/or against Vegas in any way, but since someone insists in labelling me that way, I want to say that I'm just a fan with a pair of eyes and ears, as excited to see her singing a "different" song setlist when she has the chance to, and like the most majority of fans (both in this and out of this forum in the live streams), after 10 years of Vegas shows we know the difference between black and white. So it's just NOOORMAL to compare, like, rave about or tear apart anything she does out of Vegas (like this tour or last summer tour) with a residence that she has been doing for 1,100 times and has barely had changes during it's run. Normal that fans show disappointment with equal passion as excitement when she cuts songs that haven't been performed in ages, or not performed at all in her entire career!

I don't mind if she cut the songs because it's too much for her to sing so many songs every night (even though they were wrong songs, except IYA ). What makes me sad is possibility she cut them because the audience didn't respond to them. There are soooo many hits for casual fans in the show, if they don't like certain songs or they don't know them, it doesn't matter. She should stick to it, especially if she enjoys performing them. It's her vision after all and she should be able to sing whatever she wants. And it seemed to me she was really enjoying performing those songs she never did or did a long time ago. She must be so bored doing all the same songs year after year but she does them because the audience reacts to them. And it's Celine, the woman who loves her fans and don't want to disappoint them so we get to hear MHWGO for millionth time.

In my opinion, the opening show was perfect balance of the usual hits for casual fans and rare gems for hardcore nuts like us. It's not like those casual fans won't like the show and never come back just because they didn't know couple of songs because they got all those big hits they came for, the rest is just a bonus.

I agree! And I absolutely LOVE how I have a negative impression of specific members and posts, and the forum shares this impression.

 

I find complains to be ridiculous. Celine does more live singing in this tour than she has done since the days of the Unison tour (I am referring to English concerts)! Moreover, the concert lasts for over 2 hours which must be more than any of her previous tours!

 

I am as proud as ever! And to me Celine is still a professional and an artist!

 

 

Finally someone who is reasonable. lol. . At least a few of us on here are. Probably more,but some whiners take a lot of space. lol.
