After US I just can't be excited about this colab anymore.

 

Don't worry, this is not a recording session. It looks like they're just trying new ideas in her dressing room or something. I hope it's better this time.

Well despite the additional lipping and removal of SOTR, I'm looking forward to seeing the show on Fri and Sat. Can't wait to hear "Recovering" live and the new interlude pre-TSMGO.

 

Still holding out hope that she'll add something different to the 1000th show, but as long as she has fun and the energy is there from the crowd, I'll be happy.

 

Also, it's been a sh*t week at work so I'm looking forward to sitting poolside at Caesars for the weekend with a Piña Colada and some retail therapy at the Forum Shoppes. Haha.

It used to just be the first 5 songs and 2 high notes.. I am not upset the list has grown slightly. Anyone who has listened recently can hear hear her voice, particularly upper chest voice, is the worst she has ever struggled with it. Her long notes are like 4 seconds these days. These are struggles that should not be... Honestly she sings way to much and does too many shows and the last year she has just went non stop. Since I don't see her doing what is best for herself which would be like 20 shows a year plus some extra stuff here and there, i guess a few extra playbacks for a couple weeks to recover her voice is okay. I just don't want them to be permanent playback nor her damage or deterioration be permanent. I wish she would just slow down.

That is exactly how I feel about it. I wish she would just do indeed like 20 shows a year in Vegas. She deserved to get a break after the great summertour.

Another concept for the show seems to be in works. Which gives me the impression Celine will be around for years to come...

 

When she renews her contract I will be around to give away tissues to certain members.

If I could choose I would suggest she goes for another show in Vegas. Just for the sake of having a trilogy. But its duration would be shorter and she'd give less shows a year.

 

In the meantime take vocal lessons again in order to rest her voice, start acting lessons since she wants to be in a movie and probably piano or guitar lessons since she seems to be interested in that too. I think she would feel like a student which can be refreshing! The point is that she has so much potential. And time to work on that potential too.

 

I am ending the hypothetical discussion here. In reality, I hope she does whatever she feels like doing!

Apparently the musical idea was René's. If they do this, the only good thing to me is the fact they'll be an english and french show. Two completely different shows.

But would rather this idea was left in a drawer for a few decades though 😂

I think the first show was the good one and in its version of 3 years, as it was originally planned. Wanting to extend it for 5 years was like Peter Jackson wanting to do The Hobbit in 3 movies instead of the 2 he originally planned: just for money and for the pressure of the studios

 

I know it won't be regarded as "politically correct" to say this as we approach the show #1,000 this week, but from an artistic point of view, Vegas has only brought stagnation to her career, and no further ambitions other than accumulate one show after the other with songs that she doesn't even enjoy to perform in its current version

 

Yes, she brought Vegas to a new level, she employs lots of people and that's great, but, wouldn't she have achieved the same if she had toured the world since 2002, doing small/medium venues with each album? Ah, maybe she wouldn't have made 1,000 concerts in total and she would't have earned so much money But she would have spread out the profits among many different places and teams of people, and surely her career would have evolved greater more than what it has today.

They announced more shows.. So i think the Lipsync will stay for good.. Its too much for her now.. Im happy they added this Lipsync tracks, she was struggling badly at the high notes and this can hurt permanently i guess.. if she doesn't get the rest or treated if this is something like inflammation.. She clearly does not want to cancel concerts.. In my opinion the concerts should have been canceled till tomorrow so she could had treated the voice properly with rest and maybe we wouldn't see these new playback tracks.

But im not upset by now with those new tracks, she needs it.. At least now.

I like the use of the summer tour lights but I can't believe they introduced such pathetic new visuals on the screen for TSMGO. I know I have a thing about that screen- but really- more flashing lights? On a screen? In the middle of all the other flashing lights? So boring. It makes me so mad.
