Someone from the audience told me that the ending note of all by myself now is Lipsync as well.. Idk im not sure, but i think she was looking at the technical peop no?

Think it's lipped from the big note to the end.

Maybe they're doing this just until the 1000th show? So she'll be in better voice for it? There's bound to be lots of press there.

All this lipping, I don't like it. If she does it to protect her voice I would rather haver her cancel the show. I am happy I saw her in Paris this year.

Just to be clear, the lipping now includes:

 

MHWGO (final chorus)

ABM (final note)

TSMGO (full song)

 

???

I'm a little nervous and excited to see what they do to the show! She's under contract, so she can't just take off for a year. They'll either make the changes slowly or during one of her short breaks.

 

I think what I liked least about the AND premiere was not the theatrics, rather it was Celine's personal styling. (Remember the across the face make-up and YSL sequin cape at the press conference?) I know she and her team have had 13 years to develop since then - so I'm sure we can expect great things.

 

But it still makes me nervous...

 

Edit: Gilles is retired and seems to have been hired on as a consultant, so maybe he will simply be working on adding to the current show, not creating something brand new.

 

As others have said, her show has been lacking a theme in this iteration (I mean, the theme was movie songs, then it was supposed to just be Celine, but she sings all these tributes....)

the project they have for now is to create a musical about Celine. Celine must be convinced , she is not sure. so the guy is trying to find the idea that will elp convince her. Aldo said they have proposition from Broadway, and France. The musical would not be the same i8n french or english, it is two careers. From La Presse. They have been meeting about it , but the decision will come from Celine, she is the Diva, the leader, he wants to be at her service. Apparently it is a new trned to create a musical about an artist. Celine would not play in that, the proposition must be very original and tenting for her to say yes.

enough with the lipping comments!!!! who cares!!! Enough sites comment on this , so i do not see why a fan site would sink to their level.

I saw her live this summer1 0th row in MTL and it was all live!!!!!! sometimes its not...so what!!!

Ah, thanks! I hadn't read that article before I spoke. I remember Celine has said she's never had much interest in Broadway musicals before. I wonder if they'll be able to convince her.

 

I sure hope it doesn't turn out like that Celine made-for-TV movie released a few years back!

I know this is not a popular opinion, but I am against lipping. She is known for her superior vocals. If she can't sing a song on a particular day, then she should drop it off the list or bring it down to a level she CAN perform it at. Straining her voice, etc.....she is a professional. This is how she earns and income. She has plenty of $$ to not sing at all, so why do the lipping.?

Very disappointed!

All this fake pre-recorded tracks, all at once: she should stop singing these songs, changing the key or whatever. Come on now we have I surrender, wdmhbn, bylm, tpol, Iacbtmn, all by myself, tsmgo, and mhwgo lipped, massively! Ok it's her job to entertain people, but does she enjoy singing that bad and lipping so much? :/

I would have preferred a shorter summer tour and a short serie of residency concerts, like 3 or 4 picking with the 1000th, and at the same time a nice and LIVE promotion for her french album. She is overbusy with repetitive boring concerts and the same (even more lipped) old songs, struggling and letting down. I'd really love her to stop and quit vegas for a while, take her time to do same promotion and taking some rest, recording a new fresh English albums (without silly love songs as for the last 1037201937 English albums of hers) and coming back on stage with the release of the new single and short tours (less than 40 shows per year, so that she keeps her damn stability) around the world, not being stuck in a city lipping and letting down her real fans.

Exactly. I wished the chapter Vegas closed or at least change the whole setlist

The setlist now goes LCMM/RDMH, MHWGO, TSMGO. I really feel TSMGO should be moved as the opening of the show, the introduction is so ominous and her dramatic appearance on stage.

Apparently the new artistic adviser who has been hired for Celine (Gilles Ste-Croix) is working on a musical about Celine's life... Who will play Celine??? ;)

Yes that is true. you can hear a clear cut difference between them if you really listen. It's still so epic though!!

 

This view shows how much more epic it is now. They added the tour video+lights which make the song so much better and I love when she runs up to the audience and tells them to sing!!

You'd be surprised... with the right cast and book it could work. "Beautiful" the Carole King musical won Tony Awards, and "On Your Feet: The Gloria and Emilio Estefan Story" is doing quite well...

in Accès illimité, she said that they removed the stairs because one time at least someone climbed on the stage, an they stopped going the imkmortality walk because people were climbing on her dress, her feet, blocking her the way, it was just too much.

omg. I hope she says no the musical...

 

It's been 20 years she tells her story ... who cares?

A musical is for those whose career is done... or dead artists.

 

Plus what a frustration it would be to hear new arrangements for a musical while she will be doing the same over and over.

 

What a idea ! They better pay a current producer to have a hit.
