I think we hard core fans complaining way to much about her doing her hits. But reality shows, she has to do them, not only because it´s simply expected from her, but only the meanings of the songs to people. I think she feels this emotion on stage, when she looks in the faces in the audience. She herself said it, seeing those strong emotions makes it still worth it, to sing them still after all these years. In this video it just shows it beautifully once again :) I think we hard core fans (and I speak while looking at myself), should appreciate her hits more. In my case I don´t listen to her famous songs that often, but this reminds me of that those songs are responsible for, who and where she is today. ;) It´s just beautiful to think about, what those songs like MHWGO, IACBTMN, BYLM, TPOL etc. mean to her. She feels thankful I guess... :wub: those represent her life achievement and her fulfilled childhood dream

I’m going to my first Vegas show on May 21st, and would really love to meet Céline after the show. I know years ago, fans would wait outside the garage entrance and she would pull over and sign autographs. Can anyone confirm she still does this?

 

My back up plan is to hope I’m lucky enough to be there on a night when Pepe is in the audience, and just flirt my way to Céline 😘

It's hit and miss when waiting for her after the show now. They have changed the route that she goes so she doesn't have to stop now. If your timing is right you may get a wave.

Yeah, maybe your best bet is Pepe, I couldn't use that angle... :giggle:

I´m excited for these last shows, even though she won´t surprise us with change (new songs in the setlist), it will extraordinary to watch these last moments of an era... ;) Go Celine

I think if they have ANY plans for the final shows they will have been rehearsed for a few months ago, after the announcement was made.

 

And as for the tour. I assume she has already begun tour rehersals, though i assume The bulk of rehersal time will be after the BST show, through August maybe, letting her rest after BST and give her more time to rest before the first quebec show

I'm not expecting any changes for the final run. I think at this point the show is what it is. IF anything, assuming a single is released sooner than later, she might add the single in for the final few shows. But that's all I'd expect if anything was to be added.

 

I do wonder if BST, though it won't be exactly the same, will give us a pretty good idea of what the tour will be like?? At least in regards to a potential set list. There's not much down time between August and September to rehearse an entirely different show. I'm sure rehearsals have begun already but y'all know what I mean....it's hard enough to rehearse for 1 new show let alone 2 completely different ones at the same time. Just a thought....

I don´t think they will change the setlist for this last run. Maybe like it was stated, add a new single, if it´s released before the end of vegas. As for BST I think they will focuse on UK hits and maybe like Celine said a few new songs (hopefully). Edited by ordinary fan

me too, and please record a performance for a dvd release. That´s why I kinda hoped that they will film the BST concert, just like they did with USF in 2013. But I think (and hope) if they have plans to film a concert, it will be one of the courage world tour (like TC world tour)...

That's one thing I liked about Aldo...USF was the first concert released in it's entirety on mp3, etc. I sure wish they would officially name someone as a manager. Maybe we'd get more productions released. I never expected this Vegas run to be released while she was still there but it would be nice to get something when she's finally done. I'd love to have both versions on DVD/Bluray. Since this last leg is almost the same as the Asia tour I doubt we'll get that. But the other 2....2011 and 2015 versions would be amazing. 💖💖

What has Aldo to do with USF?!

 

 

That's one thing I liked about Aldo...USF was the first concert released in it's entirety on mp3, etc. I sure wish they would officially name someone as a manager. Maybe we'd get more productions released. I never expected this Vegas run to be released while she was still there but it would be nice to get something when she's finally done. I'd love to have both versions on DVD/Bluray. Since this last leg is almost the same as the Asia tour I doubt we'll get that. But the other 2....2011 and 2015 versions would be amazing. 💖💖

Well im pretty sure she has said already shes already begun tour rehersals. And if we’re being realistic shes not gonna have to rehearse for any of the songs shes already performing (like 10-12 public hits). IMO BST will be comprised of like the “essential 6” TPOL,BYLM.IACBTMN,MHWGO,ABM, IA. Then i think there will be some UK hits. Maybe Tell him, TT, OOR, maybe Misled and of course, fan fav, LCMM/RDMH. Maybe a single or two.

 

The tour however we can assume will contain 3-6 new album songs, along with regional changes for certain hits etc. I also am thinking there will be a dance number or two. So IMO anyway, the tour may have some similarities to BST but not much.

 

 

BST (imo) serves mostly as a New single promo show ala USF.

 

And my timings were general. If we take into account she’s probably already began rehersals for both, the whole down time from July 6th - September 17th she has 2 and a half months to prep.

He released the entire concert on CD/MP3. I wrote that in what you quoted.🤔 First time we've had that in quite a while. Most other releases in years past have only parts of the show.....whatever would fit on 1 CD. That release had 2.

 

Edit: not sure if that's solely at a managers discretion or not but if I'm remembering correctly it was the first (and only??) live release after he officially took over; and before he stepped down.

Right. Rehearsals have begun. My point was that it'd be hard to rehearse 2 entirely different shows. And while it WON'T be exactly the same, I was just pondering if the set list would be pretty similar. Using USF as an example, they only really subbed out a few songs for others in the mini tour that followed. That's what I'm getting at. I'd love an entirely different show. Who knows, maybe BST will resemble the current Vegas show with some new songs , the British hits, etc. And the tour will be completely new.

yes I would like that, if the BST show is kind of similar to the vegas show and the world tour is completely new.

For the BST show, they could just leave out you´re the voice, Prince medley, can´t help falling in love, beauty and the beast. Add think twice, misled and LMBTL and a few more in (hopefully a few new ones aswell) :)

leave the completely new show setlist for the real tour...

He wasn't even her manager back than.

I guess he did take over a month after it was released, officially. The concert was in 2013 but released in May 2014. I guess I had it in my head he'd taken over by then. Although I think I remember reading at one point he'd been involved a lot longer from the time they officially announced it.

As Celine said: it will be bittersweet.

 

Last leg of a chapter opened with René.

 

And a very successful one: the 2 biggest residencies. A very unique: who would have bet on Vegas? One, after MHWGO, that cemented her as an icon and superstar: so many are following her path there. In decades to come when people will look back to her carreer I suppose that Titanic and Vegas will be really the two elements they will remember (and maybe the next chapter 😊)

 

And the city where they raised their kids.

 

I suppose the last show will be very very very emotional 😢

I don't think she's gonna miss it a bit. She's been there the hell of a lifetime during 16 years and she really wants to move forward this time (and I'm so happy for that... :shifty:) Edited by Javito

I do think she's 100% ready to move on. The last show will be emotional for sure....her last show of anything has always been emotional for her. She started Vegas with Rene and is ending without him. I think she appreciates each chapter of her career for what it has done for her and her family. And I think she'll miss it in that regard.

 

But Vegas audiences for sure tend to be more stale than tour audiences, at least for most nights in general (some nights are on fire). You can see the difference in her energy and excitement levels as well.

 

I do think at some point, especially if they continue to live in Vegas, that she'll perform there again, even if it's in a different capacity. Or even a different theater. She's definitely ready right now, though for something different.
