Wow! They are ripping out "my" seat to put in a standing room only pit it seems from that photo. :cry: Makes sense though...they have to keep up with the times and that is definitely more of the trend right now with shows. As long as they never tear down the Colosseum completely. lol

They should bring back the HUUUGE STAGE. Since this era is all about creativity having a big show.. so it needs a bigger stage for props, dancers, etc. like in A New Day

ripping up seats for a “party atmosphere”? I don’t think Celine will be back anytime soon. That’s not really her style. They have the mosh pit but it’s nof the whole show!

That's what I thought as well until I read the article from Las Vegas Review Journal which says:

"...the Colosseum will offer a general-admission section in front of the stage and multiple seating configurations. The capacity will inch up by about 100, to 4,400, as fans can be seated or standing in the lower level, depending on the artist’s wishes."

I wonder what Celine would choose, a pit or seats at the front?

True...I've also seen venues where they choose to fill up that empty pit area with tables/chairs - I could also see Celine returning someday and opting for something like that. I'm sure it's more versatile this way. It can be changed drastically depending on the artist they have that night. :)

Oh I didn’t see the seating or pit. To me it seems a bit much.

One thing we can assume - a return to Vegas someday would = major price increase for tickets. :giggle: That new "pit" will surely come with a pretty price tag. lol

And I’m not sure about y’all, I don’t like standing in mosh pits sweating with people I don’t know. :giggle:

:sofunny: It never fails that when I'm in the pit some stranger hangs their arm around my shoulder like we're best friends, screaming out CELINE CELINE CELINE! at the top of their lungs. Their sweaty hair whipping in my face and they constantly turn around trying to get a selfie. LOL As much as I love the mosh pit, those 10-15 min are more than enough for me. hahaha Let's hope if she does return someday, that space is filled with chairs. I don't think I'd be willing to pay a high price for a two hour sweat/screaming fest! :giggle:

This reminds me of when I went to Chicago at the same time they were demolishing Harpo Studios. I always wanted to go to an Oprah taping. She was basically my TV mother!

 

I agree, though, that they have to keep up with the times. Who knows! Celine might perform there again in a few years in the renovated space.

 

Forward motion and change is always a good thing.

I don’t like the renovation that they will do. I only want an upgrade like the stage. It should be HUGE.. again! Better lightings, projectors, upgraded LED Screens, speakers/sounds, again like A New day lol

 

If they will so the huge space at the front. It will not be classy like it used to. It will turn into a... like planet hollywood (britney) like club.

Sceno plus will return to work on the renovation... i think it will look good. I like the works of the Sceno Plus
