I just think that even if it's not her song (Aretha recorded this song in her version btw) it's a fit for an emotional tribute.

I agree, I’m over tributes in general but I’d rather see a Aretha tribute over the Prince one, hell I even prefers the MJ one more.

 

But I’d like to see a Céline, Mariah and Carol King performance at the Grammys for a tribute even maybe Jennifer Hudson too. All on the same stage. Imagine that would be amazing, Ken Erlich needs to

As much as I would love to meet her, paid M&G's just feel wrong. It would commodify the special relationship she has with her fans and take the magic away...

Tv show conventions charge for meet and greets/photo ops but people spend hours in line for them. I can imagine that if Celine or Mariah charged cheap they'd never get to the concert lol. Maybe that's point of making them so expensive?

I'm equally glad and not so glad Celine makes her meet and greets free. On one hand it does make getting one special, but on the other hand for a meet and greet that there's a price to you can kind of plan for it? If you prefer the M&G you can save up for it and just buy the cheapest ticket whereas the way it is now it's kind of by chance that you'll get a m&g (as how I understand the process they have now is)

I hope to one day meet her but at the same time, I find m&g a bit odd (especially those you have to pay for). The celebrity stands there in a room waiting as people come in to say hi, it feels to me almost like they're on display for us, like idk lol. Like making the line to see Santa at the mall during Christmas, except you don't ask Celine for anything you just tell her you love her XD

But Celine does it because she loves her fans and that really does make her special. If you had to pay it would "cheapen" the experience in a way.

Initially I was a little sad I didn't have much of a chance to say much to Celine when I met her. Time was super tight. They were very behind schedule that night. But after reading some other meet and greets stories from other fan bases I am extremely grateful. Celine if people recall had a very bad viral infection just before I met her. She had canceled two weeks worth of shows and I can tell you she was still sick when I met her. You could hear her voice. We had been pre-warned that she was sick and was a bit cautious. I had told her brother I understood that she was sick and I would never want to overstep or make her feel uncomfortable but that all I wanted was a hug photo. He said well then ask her when it's your turn and see how she feels. I still have no idea how she knew who I was before she even got the intro when we met. But just when I thought she couldn't shock me more when it came time to take my solo pic after Celine insisted she wanted a photo with my mom I hesitated not knowing what to do. Before I even had a second to think Celine had scooped me up into a semi hug. I was floored. It was like she knew what I wanted without me saying. I was left shell shocked. As my mom turns to tell her how big a fan i am cause you see nothing was coming out of me. My mouth had dropped to the floor HER people gave us our things. Celine turned and looked at them looking utterly confused at what they were doing. So to be CLEAR Celine NEVER rushed us it was her people. Had she been able to she would have spent another minute with us. Thank god they did or else the show would have started at 8pm So I am super grateful that even sick she was so kind I've read other celebs won't even shake your hand if they are sick let alone shake hands and then give a semi hug. Come on no doubt Celine is way different then some other celebs! I must add the only other person I've met is Kelly Clarkson and she was as sweet and caring and gracious and never once rushed us either and we got to talk to her for so long because we were last. This time it sorta worked against me since I was first but still no complaints.

 

People who read my initial review of the meet and greet must think this is a change well yes but that's cause with time and speaking with my mom many times things have come back to me that I had initially forgotten about in the moment. Also with time you really are able to see how lucky you were especially after I read some horror meet and greet stories from other fan bases.

From what I've seen of her on social media, she's very aggressive and a bit "stalker-ish," especially with RC and his friends.
