I didn't mind it but I found It's A Mans World a bit screeching, found it hard in places to understand the words she was singing.

 

Totally agree....it was terrible (IMO) when she performed it in Amsterdam. I actually closed my ears a few times towards the end of the song.

 

 

And "It's a Man's World' didn't make any sense without 'That's Just The Woman In Me'.. she should've kept performing the latter instead of the former (whether it was you-know-what or not).

Yeah but they don’t all play at the same time. Or they won’t all be playing at the same time as Celine. There’s always been loads of decent shows in Vegas to choose from. And it helps Celine only doing a few weeks at a time. And not as many shows as AND. It gives people less opportunity to go. We’ll see.

Celine will remain QUEEN OF VEGAS even if she takes a couple years to do a World Tour and have some time off. I think it makes sense to perform until 2019 -- then do a tour at the end of 2019 / into 2020. Who knows, though. There's a lot to consider. If she ends her Vegas show -- then what would the next show look like? I imagine it would be very similar --- grand, elegant, an orchestra.... I don't think she will ever do the dancers / Cirque thing again. She did it. It was incredible. Now she's all about the music again and less about the spectacle which I'm totally fine with.

 

Also ---

 

If approached in the right way, I think an Aretha tribute would be lovely in the last legs of this Vegas show. She could also reminisce about her performance with Aretha.

 

In general, I think Celine could make more of her concert banter career-focused and talk about the many things she's accomplished. She should also keep adding in her own songs -- at least in the medley section of the show. I hope they'll add in TO LOVE YOU MORE in Vegas. And I hope they bring back IF YOU ASKED ME TO one of these days!

I think they could adapt the show to give it a more theatrical feel without the dancing and acrobatics of A New Day. When we see Celine perform on stage she isn't just singing, you can see her acting so why not give her something to act off of during certain songs? It can be one dancer moving around her and sometimes interacting with her, or it can be a single prop, something to accentuate the performance. I like when she sings Where Does my Heart Beat Now and those screens drop and show clips of her throughout her career, or when she used to come down the stage to walk along the center aisle (I know she stopped because fans kept standing to ask for pictures but maybe instructing audience members to not stand would help). I think little things similar to that change the feel of the show just enough.

I wouldn't call it A New Day part 2 if all you'd change from the current show is the lighting and screen graphics. I like the current classical show but if she'll continue in Vegas after 2019 or after a break then they would need to come back with something different but I don't know that she'd want to come back with anything that resembles her past shows, and not something as big as A New Day.

If she will do a tribute to Aretha, she should sing Nessun Dorma. It’s great for a tribute. It’s emotional and so orchestral since she has orchestra band. And I think Aretha really loves the song. During her final days, she sang and played this song in a piano still wearing a hospital bracelet tag and she lost so much weight

Aretha didn’t sang this for once. She sang this for many times

 

I just think that even if it’s not her song (Aretha recorded this song in her version btw) it’s a fit for an emotional tribute.
