SHE CANCELD SHOWS TILL APRIL 18TH!!!!

 

CÉLINE DION PERFORMANCES - MARCH AND APRIL CANCELLED

 

We regret to inform you that the performances of Céline at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace scheduled for March 27 through April 18 have been cancelled. Céline has been dealing with a condition in her middle ear known as Patulous Eustachian tube, which causes hearing irregularities, and makes it extremely difficult to sing.

 

She has been experiencing this condition for the past 12-18 months but it has been successfully treated with various ear drop medications. During the past couple of weeks these medications have no longer been working to treat the condition, so she will undergo a minimally invasive surgical procedure to correct the problem.

 

“My luck hasn’t been very good lately... I’ve been so looking forward to doing my shows again and this happens…. I just can’t believe it! I apologize to everyone who planned to travel to Las Vegas to see my show. I know how disappointing this is, and I’m so sorry." - Céline

 

Céline is expected to resume performances at The Colosseum as scheduled on Tuesday, May 22nd.

 

Céline, Caesars Palace, and AEG Presents apologize for any inconvenience this causes ticket holders.

 

Ticket holders for the cancelled performances should be aware of the following:

 

TICKET REFUNDS

 

Credit Cards – Orders purchased with a credit card for the cancelled performance will be refunded to the credit card used for purchase.

 

Cash - Those who purchased tickets with cash may present tickets at the original point of sale for a refund.

 

Please note that Céline, The Colosseum, AXS, Caesars Palace, and AEG Presents are not responsible for hotel, travel or other expenses related to the cancellation of this performance.

I don’t care if she has to cancel. I’m sorry for the fans who planned travel, especially her 50th birthday show. But her health is most important. This isn’t a cold. She’s having surgery. Minimally invasive but surgery nonetheless. Get well, Celine.

I do NOT agree with how they are working. She's been sick this long and they should have known a while ago that she would make it to the shows. I'm pissed off.

 

I love Céline and hope she feels better soon. I actually think she should also cancel Asia and stop selling tickets until she knows she can fully dedicate her self to what's ahead.

I think they didn't even knew.

It always looks like last minute decisions.

 

However knowing that the medications didn't work anymore for the last weeks, to choose for a surgery doesn't look last minute to me.

 

They could have released a statement earlier,I know a lot of people who are leaving this weekend.

 

Anyway, I feel sad for her. 12-18 months is a long time.

I have no clue what this condition in her middle ear is about, and what it does.

And what they are going to do with surgery.

But it must be so frustating for her.

 

And we all complain that we hear nothing and the album takes to long.

Don't think she could have worked on that the last weeks.

Maybe stuff, but no signing..

My heart is absolutely broken for all of the fans who were supposed to go this coming week. :cry: Sending up many prayers for Celine. You know this crushes her completely. My heart hurts. :cry:

Totally gutted for the fans who were going to see her for her 50th birthday show and extremely worried that there may be something more going on than what they’re saying. I so hope she doesn’t cancel this up and coming tour!! She can’t let the people of Asia down again that would be awful.

 

I honestly feel we’re gonna get a follow up statement cancelling everything for the foreseeable future, something doesn’t seem right, or is it just a run of bad luck?!

 

I really wouldn’t be surprised if everything is catching up with her now, she’s been so strong and pushing through so well that maybe it was inevitable to happen.

 

Love to you Celine and gotta say I’m gutted that we’ll probably not hear anything from her at her milestone birthday now but I’ll certainly have a drink to your health 😘

I’m sad but at the same time at least they announced it early. Weren’t we all wondering why they didn’t tell us when they cancelled all of them in January? I know it sucks but I feel for celine. I’ve had major hearing and ear issues since birth. It’s not easy and I wish her all the best.

And is this condition really as pedestrian as they make it out to be? A minor surgery and everything goes back to normal? I'm no medic, but this sounds like something that could be long-term damaging to a singing career... I so hope she gets well soon. This must be just so crushing and stressful for her.

The middle ear can deal with balance and things of that nature and also allows the body to function correctly. If you have a middle ear issue it can throw the whole body off. My grandma has issues and it’s bad.

Such a shame that Celine was forced to cancel all of these shows. It must be so hard for her. Hoping this surgery goes well. Brandon and I just were lucky enough to rebook for June 8 and 9. Hopefully she'll be all recovered by then. So sorry to those who were planning on going.

I know I've been a bit MIA for a while but it's because I too recently just had minimally invasive surgery. So coming from someone who has suffered from everything from kidney failure to heart problems to ear problems I do feel for Celine and i know exactly how she must be feeling now. I too have had to cancel many many events including trips due to my health and boy was my heart ever broken so I in no way blame Celine. I know what it feels like when you're meds stop working and you just feel so physically frustrated that you've almost run out of options. It happened to me about 2 months ago and there was no choice left but surgery. Yes it was for a whole different matter but nonetheless I understand her 100% So I honestly have nothing else to say about this matter is PLEASE Celine do not worry about us please dedicate yourself in the coming months just to get better not for us not for the show but for yourself and for your family.

Agreed - I googled the condition and almost wish I hadn't. I certainly hope and pray for the best, but the procedure certainly doesn't sound like a sure cure all. The thought of how crushing and stressful this must be for her truly hurts my heart. It has been an incredibly difficult few years for her. Even the strongest have their breaking points.
