But i don't know if gilles still part of it now but Céline said that before that the brand new show is ready

 

Like I said: there's no mention of him being hired specifically for the new show. The only thing they mentioned is that his first project would be to work on a musical of some sorts about Céline's life in 2 versions (English & French).

And again: they've never said a new show is ready.

I remember céline having an interview i think it was last year... about the new show.. that it’s ready.. i think it was also mentioned here in this forum

This professor worked with Celine in the last months for his books released in the last months and preface of the new book has been by Celine. This professor tell the story of his ears problems since last year in this interview.

I’ve been a fan since 1995 and I can tell you that celine’s weight is a reflection of her overall health & happiness.

It fluctuates quite a lot and if she looks very thin or quite curvy it means something is wrong.

Recently she has been so very thin. I knew something was wrong. I do not believe at all that she has anorexia by the way. I just think that her body responds to stress by losing weight rapidly.

And it's time to leave Vegas

And decid to rest and work on personal projects, maybe built a studio at her home, and be free to create something diferent

Or just maybe to decide take care of her children and be the RC's manager

Yeah! She should end the current show and do the Brand New Show that they prepared for how many years now (since gilles ste. croix was mentioned back in 2013).... i remember they said that the brand new show is ready but they don’t know what date to start because of the current show.

You make it sound like its a done deal and confirmed. Celine has never said a new show is completed EVER. She just said their they want to come back differently indicating they havent even decided.

 

Plus now Aldos gone Gilles could also be gone. This musical has never been spoken about since and you are taking it severly out of context.

 

I agree with CSCFan, nothing was mentioned of a new vegas show, the supposed musical with Gilles has probably been scrapped either due to Aldos leave or when Celine took her 2014-2015 year off.

 

She cant just scrap a contract, start a new show and scrap everything planned. The contract being scrapped could severly damage ties to vegas (Caesars own or have shares in almost ALL vegas attractions) and shes perfectly stable so why would she risk it.

The only time Celine or Aldo talked about it was in 2016 during the summer tour in Le journal de Montréal. She or He (i dont remember) told that they started to work on a complete new show for Vegas but it was still the beginning so way too early to tell something else and there was no date for a premiere.

Some fans know this too because I get that info also here in this forum.. And I know i remember that Céline mentioned it in an interview about having "A new show" but no premiere date... yet because of the current show.

That is NOT what she said, she said in order to do a new show, this run has to be be finished first.

 

Also, back to Gilles.... his son tragically passed away not too long after he joined the team, for all we know he isn't part of the team anymore.

I just mentioned it because i remember The Red Heads, said "The preparation of a complete new Las Vegas Show has started with Gilles Ste-Croix but that was back in December 2016... And that time everyone in this forum are talking about it.. So, i thought that since they were working on it since 2016.. It's complete now... and just waiting for a "Premiere date". I don't remember where i watched that interview about céline talking about the new show.. or maybe i misinterpret it and maybe this is the one that she said in that interview "...in order to do a new show, this run has to be be finished first.".

I am most likely not ready for her to retire yet. If that has to happen, obviously her health comes first. But I am NOT ready yet. Not even close. I vacillate between faith and hope and absolute worry. This is hard, but as I said when Rene was fighting his battle, this has to be harder times a million for her.

Does anyone know when Céline's current contract ends for the residency? I believe I read 2019. I know they are likely not making any announcements/decisions right now because they are waiting to see how she will heal. I'm just wondering, if all goes well, if it's possible that they'll add more dates in the Fall.

 

If I'm not going to get to see her for an undetermined amount of time, I'm not going to cancel my trip. But obviously I would rather spend the money to go while she's there. Of course no one knows what's going to happen with the surgery, I'm just purely speculating. I don't want to take a chance on the May/June dates because I have a feeling they'll be cancelled.....

Yeah she doesn't talk to her much at all. She hadn't spoken with Céline for 2-3 month after she announced her pregnancy of the twins. Not even to congratulate her. So odd

As die-hard fans, we know that's not true. But these past few months with the media and many cancelled dates is leaving the public with sour taste.

 

She best reduce her future date, because she will have a hard time selling what she used to, given the cancellation history.

 

And as much as this is not her fault (I know it's not); she will have to do some damage control and hopefully do some press in April to advise the surgery went well (HOPING it does) and that she is feeling much better.

 

If we hear no news; i'm assuming it didn't go well. When she cancelled events (a string of) in the past she did press to say she was feeling much better (2012)-Today Show-. She'll need to do the same here.

 

Im guessing we're hooped for the new album now.......urgh I don't know what to expect.

it is ok to find that this a risk booking a trip to see Celine in Vegas, even if it 's been the case in the past also. But i find it is not the moment to write about it at the moment, if you are a fan. She needs our support, don't go see her show if you want, never been to Vegas myself, but let others take their own decisions.

She needs a manager to deflect some of this perception of her right now. I will continue to book Vegas as long as she is there. I do understand the expense and disappointment if you travel from Europe and other far reach corners of the globe. I would feel the same as y'all if I was traveling to catch one of her tours over there. (since the woman does not tour the States. )
