AtitanicfanofCelineDion Posted March 25, 2018 at 01:55 AM Posted March 25, 2018 at 01:55 AM She needs a manager to deflect some of this perception of her right now. I will continue to book Vegas as long as she is there. I do understand the expense and disappointment if you travel from Europe and other far reach corners of the globe. I would feel the same as y'all if I was traveling to catch one of her tours over there. (since the woman does not tour the States. )yes yes she does. When the show i was going to attend in vegas got cancelled, it seemed like the people at ceasars thought she was one of those who chronically called in didn't seem like they were a big fan of her being there ( just my perception). right now she just needs to worry about getting better and not about the public. If she had a manager it would be easier for her to do so and not worry about "damage control" plus i feel us fans would be better updated about her condition. Hope to see her in june but if she is not well i totally understand, saw her in kc in 09 after she just got over her laryingitus and she was absolutely amazing. 1 Quote "When you want it the most there's no easy way out, when you're ready to go and your heart's left in doubt, don't give up on your faith, love comes to those who believe it, and thats the way it is." Popular Post CSCfan Posted March 25, 2018 at 09:09 AM Popular Post Posted March 25, 2018 at 09:09 AM The problem is the main reason why people think that, is because she performed there for such a long time. And so often. So when she does cancel, it's noticed even more than let's say a Rod Stewart or Reba. Of course relatively, it's not a lot and she's perfoming way less than with 'AND', but it's kinda the MHWGO effect: the song was só overplayed in the '90's, that even though the song is played once, people think "Oh no, not again" (which forunately is less the case these last few years).. One of the solutions: no more shows in Feb/March. Those are cursed months lol 8 Quote »»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»» MATHIAS ««««««««««««««««««««««««««««««««https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NzPrxI0AIDY
Dancing_Queen Posted March 25, 2018 at 09:53 AM Posted March 25, 2018 at 09:53 AM (edited) To put things in perspective:She did almost 90 shows in 2017 and canceled exactly 1 (back spasms). Of course it's a risk to travel far to see her (or any performer for that matter). And as much as I 100% understand the disappointement, it's the risk you were willing to take when booking those tickets. As for me, I'm leaving for Vegas in 2 days. My family really wanted to go, so I'm determined to have a good time 😁. I hope the Céline store will be in full Céline mode at least. Or have they booked someone to fill her spot? Anyone know? Xpresso Posted March 25, 2018 at 11:19 AM Posted March 25, 2018 at 11:19 AM I can't believe people are saying she cancels too often. I wish someone could add up the number of shows she performed in Vegas since the very beginning and how many shows were cancelled... Obviously if you never do concerts, you never get to cancel. I'm surprised to read this "too risky" thing from fans as we know how active she's been. She's human period. How many of you haven't had a cold, the flu or suffer from allergies? That alone is enough for a singer to cancel - but it if your job is to sit your f@t @ss in front of a computer, you can cough away and still do your "demanding" job. Cough, cough. 4 Quote

Popular Post angelil78 Posted March 25, 2018 at 05:37 PM Popular Post Posted March 25, 2018 at 05:37 PM Ok I have to explain that risky comment of mine a little better. I didn't mean to offend anyone. It's like with everything we do, if it's travelling a far distance, plane tickets are expensive plus hotel. When booking a show it's always risky because we don't know about the health of the person performing. I know it was ME that took the risk and hoping Céline would be ok to perform. Even when I traveled to Paris, I knew something could come up and she would be sick. She's only human. For my part it's difficult to travel to Las Vegas because I don't have all the money in the world and I'd rather spend it on Céline than anything else in Las vegas. She's basically the only reason for why I travel that far (15 hours +)Maybe my disappointment is mostly that if I had known 5 hours earlier, I could have saved $2500 on this trip. I am a huge fan, love Céline to death and my heart is breaking that she's not feeling well. It hurts more than me not seeing the show, trust me! I'm so deeply worried about her future and hope that they will let us know asap how the surgery went. Will I go to Vegas again? I do hope so. Being here though right now is a constant reminder of the cancellation. My hotel room has a view of the Colosseum so every time I look out the window, It's a constant reminder of what could have been but also a constant reminder of Célines legacy (which is a good thing). I do hope you understand where I'm coming from and I sincerely didn't want to offend anyone and definitely Céline herself. 14 Quote

Very true, there is always a risk when booking concert tickets but you just get on and do it anyway. Despite the news this week one of my main concerns at the moment is when are the tickets for September going on sale so I can start planning my trip. When they do her being ill now will not stop me buying tickets for then. 3 Quote

Popular Post Dion2000 Posted March 26, 2018 at 03:43 PM Popular Post Posted March 26, 2018 at 03:43 PM Guys, surgery (minimally invasive) for PET is done via Transnasal endoscopic injection, this means the nose is slightly cut open at the top of the bridge and the needle is inserted through the nasal cavity into the tube, they then inject soft, fatty tissue around and in the tube to promote movements and opening and closing. It is then followed up by a small steroid injection and for a month after the surgery they give you steroid nasal shots to use. A months recovery and the nasal shots showed 6 out of 8 patients got perfect results, 1 said it improved but still had slight autophone and one reported only a small change. This surgery is massively successful and from this schedule we can guess Celine will recieve the surgery in early April. Then she will have around 80 days to recover before resuming shows. I wouldnt count on all of a sudden perfect vocals because shes been off for so long. The surgery does make it slightly hard to phonate for a while and because its surgery she will be a bit weak in the vocals department but thats what the nasal shots are for. Trust mex Celine will be fine 10 Quote

Just a tiny operation and she is good to go! Hope they will keep us a bit updated! To be honest, that's why I don't come here very often, because right when I start feeling just a tiny bit better about things, I come here and get freaked out again. The thing is, though, whatever are the facts, they're still the facts whether you guys say it or not. All I know is, I'm terrigied. Deeply, completely terrified. As far as the canceling and the not soon enough decision-making, I think those who traveled far and lost tons of money, we can be mad at her team, not her. Some people don't seem to have learned to separate those two. We all KNOW how bad she hates to cancel. I do think she should be focusing on that and not on immage management, that is what a manager should do. But still...it's more than understandable to be pissed about the circumstances, but not at her directly. She does not need that right now! Quote L'immensite de mon amour pour Celine! Angel2006 Posted March 27, 2018 at 08:13 AM Posted March 27, 2018 at 08:13 AM I don't know if anyone remembers a virus that Celine caught around 2005? Celine did an interview about it on ET Canada with Cheryl Hickey and she mentioned at the time that this particular virus could last up to 5 years. I remember that one of the side effects she was suffering from at the time was poor balance from being dizzy. I don't know what this virus was called, but I'm wondering if it could possibly have any connection to Celine's recent ear condition? I was just thinking.... Balance directly links to the ears and balance was something Celine suffered with during the time of this virus. I am not a doctor, but you would think that a virus with the potential to last up to 5 years might have some lingering side effects in the ears that have chosen to show up now? It's just a thought anyways. I just hope Celine gets better soon! 3 Quote

I'm can be quite dizzy for periods of time and I've always linked it to my low blood pressure (yes I even have it when I'm here on this forum and reading some posts, quite strange), but my doctor told me recently it's probably coz of my Vestibular system. But there's no "cure", you just have to live with it. A friend of mine had a small hole in his ear drum, which caused his immune system to be lower and made him sick a lot of times (only found out later that was the cause). What I want to say, is that almost everything in your body is connected to your (middle-)ears and its system, so it can be anything. It can even be a tick bite (see Shania Twain with her voice, which is also a strange, but it is connected). Going O/T one moment... well her voice did start to deteriorate in 2004 and never became like it was (so no it def wasn't the husband, at least not in that way (more in a stress kind of way) and the timing of the tick/Lyme's cause does make sense..) Anyway, I hope Céline recovers swiftly and returns to Vegas in May.
