Gwen's last tour did really poorly, so I really wonder what they're thinking.

I used to really like her as the cool chick from No Doubt and I even liked her early solo stuff, but I don't know what happened...somewhere along the way, she became...bland.

I love her "What You Waiting For?", "Hollaback Girl" song from movie Bring It On: All Or Nothing. :)

 

These are the albums of Gwen in my iTunes library.

I actually remember "What Are You Waiting For". Never liked it unfortunately, it's too whiny for my taste, like most of Gwen's music.

 

But just because she isn't my taste doesn't mean she won't be successful in Vegas, but it seems like she doesn't really have a lot of known music to support a residency.

In your opinion, will there be celebrities in the hall on March 30? and on stage what do you think we will have as surprise? Duo? surprise of his team? cake on stage? gift on noq armchair like for the 1000? unpublished song? longer show? I'm sooooo excited !!! Can't wait

They will just let her speak 5 minutes longer without telling her in her earpiece to "stop and start singing" as a bday gift

Personally, I don't expect much changes at all, let alone visual/dress changes. I'm guessing the majority of the audience doesn't even know it will her 50th birthday (until the shows starts). Especially since it's in the middle of leg, I don't think the show will differ from the rest of the shows between Mar 27 & Apr 18. Maybe a new dress/new song/visuals will debut on March 27 though.

The majority of the audience is hardcore fans. A TON of fans from here are going (me included) and many people ive seen on twitter under the celine 50th hashtag are going. Add in the publicity and I wouldnt put it past celine to change it up. I think we have all been disappointed at points, but even Celine recognises the importance and the “spectacle” of this birthday. Ps. Its hardly the middle of the leg if its the 3rd show out of 14 :P

It's time for them to change the concept of the Vegas show, but I guess this will only happen after 2019.

The shows ends in 2020 so I doubt it.

When she left for that year with Rene she still owed them a year’s worth of shows.

Hasnt she done enough for them already ?? 11 years of shows, over 1000 shows. Hell, she rebuilt the entire vegas enconomy and repopularised the whole city. Before she came along, vegas was despised.

 

But they are gonna make her do shows when they KNEW what she was going through ?? No im sorry thats bad.

 

You can even tell yourself Celine cannot wait to get out of there

and just like that, I'm dragged into watching Celine's videos on youtube :giggle:

And I love how she sounds here, much clearer tone than nowadays, now her voice is strong and great, but Celine constantly slips into 'cat sound'

During the 2016 summer tour, i remember very clearly that Celine said in Le journal de Mtl or La presse that they started to work on a all new vegas show but there was no date for the premiere yet because they were at the very beginning of creating it.

 

And well i'm really hoping its for 2019 AND i watched A new day yesterday and the current show is really a joke comparing lol This is not a VEGAS show now its just a normal show with nothing spectacular, I'M hoping for something as good as A NEW DAY!

If its true then NOOOOOOOOOOOOO. Shes not going to sell or achieve her legendary status in the younger generations eyes unless she gets free from vegas and does promo. I dont mean a world tour. I mean, visit Northern America and when the shows start LEAVE OUT VEGAS. Visit South America. South Africa. PROMOTE HERSELF

All we know is that she signed on for about 70 shows per year.

 

And she's Queen Céline, if she wants to stop this current residency in 2019, she will. If she wants to continue, she will.

Speculation. For 'Céline', they've never specified her deal like they did with 'A New Day...'.

All we know is that she signed on for about 70 shows per year.

 

And she's Queen Céline, if she wants to stop this current residency in 2019, she will. If she wants to continue, she will.

It came from someone who's directly part of Celine's team in early January. The contract was supposed to be fulfilled some time in 2019, but due to the 2014/15 cancellations, the contract won't be fulfilled until some time in 2020. Edited by brendanm999
