It seems that her calendar is clear for Grammy and Oscar nights.

Hopefully we got to see her performing there. Oscar sounds the most likely as if HDAMLF is not nominated, then well I don't know which other song could be :-D

For Grammy (end February) that would be the right moment and place to launch the new single :wub:

So first of all, the current vegas setlist is short...the items in red I feel have had their time and can be scrapped.

  1. "I Drove All Night" (Intro Video) - Is an intro video necessary? Takes up time....
     
  2. "I Surrender" - Not a fan of opening with a song people don't really know. Not to mention, after seeing her belt out so many amazing songs on this tour I don't really care to see her open with a lipped number. I feel the same about this song as I did toward "The Reason" in 2011.
     
  3. "Where Does My Heart Beat Now"
     
  4. "Because You Loved Me"
     
  5. Medley: "It's All Coming Back to Me Now/The Power of Love" -
     
  6. "(If You Can't Sing It) You'll Have to Swing It (Mr. Paganini)" - it's been since 2011.....
     
  7. "Quand ça balance" -the fact this is the French song we're getting is embarrassing
     
  8. "Recovering"
     
  9. "Beauty And The Beast" (Duet with Barnev Valsaint)
     
  10. "How Does a Moment Last Forever"
     
  11. "All by Myself"
     
  12. Medley: "A New Day Has Come/That's The Way It Is/I'm Alive"

  14. Medley: "Kiss/Purple Rain" - even though we know she started singing this before Prince died, most do not - so to many, they'd think the time for this has passed.....

I really feel as though the current Vegas show is the weakest it has been. What was a pretty damn good show back in August of 2015 is now watered down . Just as has happened in the 2017 tour, many of the highlights for this show have since been cut and what were left with just has me feeling grateful I seen it at the start.

 

There have been multiple reviews stating how she talks too much. Anyway, the following is basically a variation of the current setlist incorporating a few elements of the 2017 tour. Now that they have rehearsed many more English songs, there is no reason why we should not hopefully see some changes when we come back. Oh wait!!! They've printed thousands of programs and t-shirts with the setlist on the back........ (HOW STUPID, BTW!!!!)

 

1. It's All Coming Back To Me Now - just like the start with TPOL on the tour, imagine that FULL intro with the minute of build up leading up to the first word....possible curtain drop?

2. Where Does My Heart Beat Now

3. Beauty And The Beast

4. How Does A Moment Last Forever

5. That's The Way It Is - the way the crowd responded to this on tour in its original arrangement is so much better than the way they do to watered down acoustic version

6. I'm Alive

7. I Drove All Night

8. The Power Of Love

9. Recovering

10. All By Myself

11. Le Ballet

12. Refuse to Dance

13. Love is All We Need

14. Treat Her Like A Lady

15. Misled

16. Black or White

17. Love Can Move Mountains

18. River Deep, Mountain High

19. My Heart Will Go On

20. The Show Must Go On

I would love it the same as the tour. :yes:

 

I want to go in September and be anticipating seeing a new show but I'm so afraid I know what I'll get. :mellow:

I have had the time of my life following this woman! Much love.

I'm going to see Celine in vegas on march 2018 and i don't like The prince medley please Celine don't sing that ! And more french songs please ! ( encore un soir maybe) and that's The Way it Is full version PLEASE it s my favorite song in English.

I surprendre Is so wonderufl so .. i love this part of the show

Oh, I agree with that. It is a reasonable concern. I honestly just found out that tfteisyf, immortality, and incredible were cut.

 

Not to mention that since opening night atw, if I can dream, unison interlude, asnd somewhere over the rainbow also gone.

 

I feel many of the current songs she's singing have had their time. The acoustic medley does absolutely nothing for the songs in it. Paganini and quand ca balance need gone!! I surrender was an interesting opening for awhile but is not well known enough to open the show. The Prince medley which has always been a favorite of mine can make room for something else. just tried to incorporate songs i now know have been rehearsed.

Those two are the only reason I even went to Vegas. If they cut these and don't replace with anything worthwhile, I see zero reason to return.

The setlist of the Vegas show is terrible at the moment, i am glas that I saw the show early october 2015 during my roadtrip in the USA. The Vegas show was very nice back then, but still not comparable with a tour concert. It's like two different worlds. If she brings the english setlist that she plays now to Vegas it would be great. Pleas take TCOML to Vegas, miss that song already since it has been cut.

Whoa. That just shows how truly sad the setlist is that a big fan has no better reason to go than to hear 2 covers. I understand though because that's how I feel toward the Prince medley - it's my favorite part considering what is left.

I think the acoustic medley section should stay, but maybe not for hit singles. The acoustic section could be the time to introduce patrons to some of her lesser-known (in the U.S.) singles such as: "Eyes On Me," "Falling Into You," "You And I," "One Heart" and "(If There Was) Any Other Way." That way, "That's The Way It Is," "I'm Alive" and "A New Day Has Come" could be performed in full elsewhere in the setlist.

The Vegas show is tricky.

 

I think to casual fans it's still a fantastic show. Even with all of Celine's talking! :) It's like "An Evening With Celine Dion". She sings several of her hits. She sings a song in French. There's some spectacle. There's some unexpected covers. It gives Vegas audiences a lot.

 

However, to us hardcore fans, it's not ideal. Luckily, being in the same room with Celine is often reason enough to travel to see her. But I'd much rather the show get changed up more frequently. Each leg of the show should have a couple of changes.

 

I personally would love:

 

-A new, highly produced Vegas opening video. The current one looks like something I could do.

-A new opening song. And push I Surrender to later in the show.

-For her to highlight her international career a bit more both in her speeches and the songs she sings.

-For her to talk more about career-based projects in her banter. ALONG with her family and just funny stories.

-More spectacle! All versions of the Vegas show prior to this one had more spectacle -- Celine on rising platforms, etc.

-New costumes. It makes ZERO sense to me why these aren't changed more frequently.

-For the show to end with a simple tune that showcases Celine's pure talent --- like WAWW or OTR.

 

And I can't wait for her to tour the United States again! It's necessary.

I would loveeeeee an acoustic song at the end. I love the medley but I think it's time to get axed, not that I don't love it, but just to keep it fresh you know! I love Adele's Lovesong, and while a lot of people may not love the choice, I think the words are simple yet they speak volumes! (And considering she did a cover for the English setlist tour closer... what are the odds anymore? :giggle:)

Someone needs to give her team these Idea's to work with, but to my understanding it takes lot of $$ to do , and to convince Scott to do so,,but remember its about 85% regular fans for the evening to see her and rest is us Die-hard fans that want changes,

Yeah I don't think it's really it takes convincing, it's just more that it takes more money to rehearse, create new arrangements, etc. so I just think we probably won't see anything new anytime soon.

I do think they should replace Quand Ce Balance with one of her French songs. It's not a well known song, unlike Ne Me Quitte Pas, which I could understand her singing.

The jazz section could go really, there's plenty of other styles and songs that can show off the orchestra.

And yes, Prince tribute needs to go now. It was great but it's had it's time.

Wouldn't mind if they added LOML to end on, like they are now, and as she did with WAWW/OTR.

If they make one change over the coming months I'll be happy. Including Recovering and HDAMLF hasn't refreshed the show up enough.

Is it my imagination or was the AND song list refreshed a lot more?? Cos it sure feels like it!

Fingers crossed this tour has given her a few ideas 😀

I know I'm dreaming here but I would really love a short medley of a couple or three french songs added. Not long but the time space of 1 or 2 songs. I know that many of her casual fans aren't familiar with her French repertoire but what a great way to familiarize them and also give the die hard fans a bit more of her own french material.
