One lyric does not make the song about drugs. There is no other phrase in that song that comes close to speaking about drugs. "Clean" could very easily mean "pure" or "virgin-like." Expand your mind just a little bit.

 

Exactly, even more it's Robert Smith wedding present to his wife, kind of apologetic for touring too much.

Yeah! The titanic blue dress is getting old. It's a 2011 dress. I'm pretty sure this 2017 there are more choices to pick. More beautiful outfits :)

I think blue really works with the black drop and waterfall but there are other blue gowns! Like this Zuhair Murad Couture one. It's more on the purple side but I think it would work!

I know she hired Gilles Ste Croix, and I have huge respect for him as an artist and a human being (read his book, all!), but I would love for her to work with Robert Lapage on the next incarnation of the Vegas show. Love so much of what he's done, and think he could really bring something great to the show.

Unlikely, but would be nice.

I know she hired Gilles Ste Croix, and I have huge respect for him as an artist and a human being (read his book, all!), but I would love for her to work with Robert Lapage on the next incarnation of the Vegas show. Love so much of what he's done, and think he could really bring something great to the show.

Wanting to replace Gilles already? What! After all he's done for the Vegas show! :P

Not replace. Work with. Pretty sure they've already worked together - Robert did Ka and Totem for Cirque du Soleil.

Just saying that I didn't see any different influences with or without Gilles.

But I also don't think Gilles has actually been involved in any way in the current show. I suspect he was hired for the next incarnation, or for something completely unrelated to Vegas (like a Broadway bio-musical, for instance). And don't forget he had to deal with the tragic death of his son shortly after he came on board, so who knows if he's still involved in any way at all.

In my opinion, the new setlist for Vegas should be:

 

THE END!

 

Celine Dion is the unquestionable queen of Las Vegas and should leave the show at her peak. ;)

And the best is yet to come... Time to focus on some artistic new material.

 

THIS!

 

As simple as that. THE END should be the next Vegas show. She's been enough time in that cage, isolated equally from the industry and the audiences outside the States, now it's time to move on and do other greater projects, which there are, and just turn the page on something that has restrained, prevented and obstructed her from doing MANY other beautiful things for 15 damn years.

 

Enough of Vegas. But I'm afraid there will be more, at least for another three years... :down: As long as she cuts down on the number of shows she does there and allows herself more time to do other projects...

It's not about the number of shows she plays there. It's about exclusivity written into the contract. Unless she negotiates a get-out clause, fewer Vegas shows doesn't equate to an ability to tour the US.

I know! It's a separate wish besides cutting the amount of shows. Time will tell...

one thing I think they should bring with them back to LV, I think is the lighting , those lights in that place would be magical,

She REALLY needs to tour the US again. She should plan another big tour after this Vegas contract -- then she can go back if she wants. OR pursue other things like films, etc.

So. We are headed to Vegas the week of thanksgiving. Do we think she will change the show after this tour for real? our seats last time were amazing. Front row in the corner. BUT they are 500 a piece.
