I'm trying to reply to people on Twitter saying it's a fake news and reporting the fake news on FB, but they should do something.

I'd like to believe it's the daily stress that has made peeps more selfish & mean, or a culture thing, a defenssive patriotic way, but not with that choice of words! Ridiculously dumb and...meeeeh!

You do realize that blaming Trump for this is just as ridiculous as the reverse??? Even though this is off-topic, let me go ahead and respond since I live in the Midwest and can tell you why Trump won. Neither candidate was a good choice, but Hilary pissed off a lot of people - especially military families. Her team was thrilled when Donald Trump was chosen as the republican candidate because they thought there was never a way for him to win in a million years. What they forgot to take into account is just how many people did not trust HER. Now, every second of every day is spent blaming Donald Trump for everything wrong in the world...including Céline Dion videos now apparently. Sad!

Yeah, pretty clear it's the Breitbart-reading, hate-spewing crowd that threatened to boycott her for not singing at the Trump inauguration.

As far as I'm concerned, they are welcome to boycott all they want. Good riddance. It's for the best.

At least one of these has been deleted, but there are a bunch more, unfortunately. People will believe just about anything these days. Actually, there was a lady on YouTube before uploading things like this and would make multiple accounts just so she could post the same things over and over. I know that because I had reported one of her videos before and I told her that. She responded by saying it didn't matter because she would just use one of her different accounts. I would imagine that a lot of the negative comments you're seeing are coming from the same person.

there is really fake news in USA and some people are taking that as a mean of information. I think internet providers have a responsability, the same way tv and radio stations are responsible on their channel. It is funny how someone can't say say sh.. on tv ane this kind of thing is tolerated on internet. And a lot of republicans made comments , but it is not all of them who are like that. This party have been taken over by some extremists, and Trump doesn't help in that regard.

In all greatness of American, MOST of the them lost their intelligence to distinguish the fake news and the right one. Come on, such videos made with Windows Movie Maker and Google Narrator, and they believe in it. How on earth those people know the IT, but they are all stupid and swallow all news coming to them. It is not Celine who says that, no proof at all and we know Celine will never say something bad to others, not even a country. And no proof of Celine herself said the statement. Why people were so stupid to believe it?!

True I wasn't blaming Trump for this. I understand that some people like him and that there are varied reasons why some people might have voted for him. But the fact is that for a lot of people internationally he seems dangerous and his behaviour is shall we say, not very presidential. He was even being booed before Celine's shows in Quebec last year. I'm not sure how I would feel if I was living in the US at the moment.

 

And before I get slammed, we're not exactly in a good place here in the UK either. At least Trump is a four year problem. Brexit is allegedly permanent and is entirely self inflicted.

No one is blaming Trump for this. They were only making the (correct) assumption that most of the people who are retweeting the video, trashing Céline, Rene, RC, Nelson, and Eddy, voted for Trump. And if you look into the majority of the Twitter accounts commenting nasty things, they all have “MAGA,” “I love our President,” “Trump Train,” etc. in their Twitter bio. The same people that tweet about the "mainstream media" making up Fake News are perpetuating a fake news story. If you listen to the video, it even says "The story about Celine Dion saying that she can't look at an American flag is fake."

 

P.S. You also forgot to mention “Russia” in your explanation for why Trump won. Oh, and more people voted for Hillary.
