I wonder if there's another upate/news about the changes in her show. The comeback will be on Tuesday next week. I hope she adds "The Colour of my Love" :)

Did anyone who went to the end of the last run of Vegas shows (after they added "How Does A Moment...") know if they still were adding the setlist page to the program when you bought it? Was it updated? Thinking about going to the store on Tuesday morning when it opens and seeing if I get get a copy ;)

 

This is what was inserted when I went back in May...

Heck, I take anything from the summer tour, other then RDMH/LCMM Purple rain, Im so over this now, just cant wait to see what she has up her sleeve this time

The only song I want out is Kiss and Purple Rain, like really really want her to stop performing those songs. I was beyond happy she didn't include them for the tour this summer!

That was pure pure pure magic!

 

I really liked "love of my life" but for some reason ut didn't get to me as much as SOTR.

 

I hope to see TCOML back in the setlist, I just saw it once in Arnhem, it got me in tears, not just a little tear, but really in tears haha.

Hoped to see it in Berlin,but we all know what she did haha

I don't know; it just seems too high to me. If on her very best totally sold-out leg she was only making about 700K, that means there was only 200K after her salary to pay ALL the musicians, technicians, all the technology with the fancy cameras and lights and effects and everything . . how would they ever make a profit? Unless it's Caesar's who's paying her because she brings so much business in to them, and it's AEG paying for the other show costs (and then getting the profits but not having to pay Celine's salary because Caesar's is). I'm not really sure how it works. Who exactly is paying Celine??

 

Forbes stated that Celine personally earned (gross) $250m for her first residency (an average of up to $350k per show, a huge sum at the time). TMZ leaked that Celine was being paid $476k per show under her 2011 contract - which has likely risen to in excess of $500k now.

 

Caesars Palace boss at the time Mark Juliano (2008ish) stated that The Colosseum was adding $176k to casino revenues every night a big name act performed - this is after the act is paid. And that this sum vastly exceeded expectations. That is only the direct benefit - that doesn't include the harder to measure benefits (increase in hotel occupancy, restaurant spend, merchandise, casino revenues). In the first 4 years, The Colosseum grossed $500m. How much of that was Celine responsible for? Almost $382m - you can bet your bottom dollar that in luring her back in 2011, they had to pay top dollar.

if it was me it would be a whole new show with spectacular effets like A new day and the setlist would be 90% of songs that Celine never perform live yet

 

BUT we are realistic, this is not whats going to happen,,, we all know Celine and we all know that the changes will be adding 1 or 2 things from the summer tourand cut some songs from vegas.

Thanks - this is interesting info. So is it Caesar's that's paying her? Where does AEG come in? I thought they were the show producers. And who would be paying all the others who work on the show - musicians, technicians, etc? Maybe that's where AEG and/or Celine are part of it? I think I remember that Aldo dramatically cut the size of the orchestra in order to control costs.

More than anything, I hope Celine feels refreshed and ready to perform. If she's feeling good then that will be apparent and the shows will be delightful regardless of whether or not there are any changes.

 

However, I would LOVE a few surprises! Can't wait for some pictures and videos from this upcoming leg and more updates!

I would say she is the most beautiful and strong and independent woman and a brave woman and a wonderful mum she means the whole wide world to me I love her so much she is stunning and gorgeous and my guardian angel she helped me through a lot and I made friends and she is professional singer and diva I would say more I got lots I want to tell her she is my everything my world

I would ideally love kiss/purple rain to get kicked out, I am done with those songs too. I would love refuse to dance/love is all we need/black or white in the show now. TCOML, guys, she is NOT going to do that. For one thing, the show does not need that and recovering, and it has only been a year since recovering was inserted. I am not ready to have it out yet. Besides, TCOML gets her too emotional I think. I honestly do not think she could do that night after night, sorry. Like someone said a few days ago, though, if she is refreshed and ready to go on, that's what will make the difference I think! That's ultimately what I want for her, and yes, an mp3 download would be amazing!

Oh sorry. Also, OMG what an amaaaaaazing ending love of my life would be, the next somewhere over the rainbow like someone said. I don't think that will happen but that would be amazing. I am not a really big queen fan. I mean, all the respect to them, they just weren't my genre, plus I'm too young to know most of their songs. lol but that song really got to me, so I would love to see that done but I very highly doubt it! I hope How does a Moment last Forever stays in, though, I love that song and it has really taken off since she did it this Summer in all the English shows.
